People are friendly and helpful. Started coming here last year…read more.. They have a better warranty and guarantee. People actually come around and ask if you want help... more consistently than other garden and nursery stores. Wish they carried ... fruit trees and composting worms, but can't knock their business decision. It'd just make it convenient for me as I haven't had luck at other local places and online seems to sellout of the stuff I want.

I feel like I was over-charged. Then they came out to blow leaves with a four-man crew. I have a quarter acre of backyard. I was charged $300 for the service. We have purchased MANY trees over the years from Browns and other local nurseries, but our latest…read moreexperience at Browns has not been good. A tree we purchased 10 months ago has not been doing well. It has been properly planted and cared for-even "babied" along-and still not doing well. We are not at all new to tree planting or basic knowledge, so to have this kind of issue is very very rare for us. We have inquired back with Browns 3 times now as to what we can do to help this tree make it, and have gotten zero help or answers this far. We are getting the feeling that they are just waiting for our 1 year from purchase guarantee to pass by so that they can skip their commitment. We do not necessarily want the tree to be replaced, we want their input to know to make this tree thrive better and we are not getting it. Our next tree/shrubs may be coming from someplace else. Update from initial paragraphs above... absolutely zero "customer service" for the tree, and our time ran out. We had to cut it down. $300+ in the burn pile. I very rarely give a business this kind of review, but I honestly feel that this was warranted. We played by all of their retune/customer purchase rules and guidelines, and they did nothing.

I came in today with 2 of my friends and had a horrible experience. We had never been here before…read moreand were excited to look at the antiques, but the woman on staff was very unwelcoming to us. We walked in and greeted her and smiled and were ignored. Red flag #1. As we walk through the store looking at what they had to offer, we notice the woman behind the desk following us and circling us. There were several other customers that did not experience this treatment. This in itself was not an issue. When I had made my way towards the back of the store with my boyfriend after examining everything else, the woman had followed us and practically ran after us. She came up to us and said "you need to stay in the front where I can see you." I had noticed a sign on the door regarding minors unattended in the store however my friends and I are all in our early 20's. This is completely unacceptable treatment. All parts of the store should be welcome to all patrons regardless of their age or how they look. I firmly believe that we were treated this way because of our appearance as we are young people with facial piercings and my boyfriend is a minority. I must note that up until this point we had been completely respectful costumers and were not causing a disturbance whatsoever, simply looking at antiques like anyone else. The only difference between us and the other customers who were not treated this way was our appearance. The woman on staff what a short older woman with a blonde bob. I surely hope this issue is addressed so no other young people experience this treatment when shopping at this establishment. Antiquing isn't just for old people. (:
