I told them over the phone she has never been to daycare and would have anxiety going to class. I was assured Ms. Cindy was great and they have experience with handling toddlers and the hardest part was for the toddlers to leave their parents but not to worry they know how to handle it and come the next day for a class. Well there was no introduction let alone communication about this and the teacher asks as class starts is she new? I say yes and she grabs my crying daughter into the studio. My daughter cried the entire class. The teacher would stand over my daughter when she was crying which is an intimidating act to a sitting toddler. After class I ask the teacher about class and she points at my daughter and says, "she can tell you." Well my daughter is 3 and all she was capable of telling me was the teacher was mean and told her to stop yelling. The teacher asked to speak to me after class. But instead of privately speaking to me, she proceeds to very loudly in the lobby in front of all the other students and parents start to ask private questions very loudly and lecture very loudly on expectations in her dance room. Understandable but absolutely not a discussion to be had in front of the entire studio. No empathy or understanding that we are just getting her comfortable in public in this pandemic. No masks worn by any staff. Just very angry, upset, disappointed in how my child and the entire situation was handled and we will not be returning to this studio after our treatment.

He started attending the "parent and me" gymnastics classes, and at first, it was tough to get him to pay attention to instructions because he would run away. Still, after approximately six weeks, he started loving it. Coach Shelby and Coach Agnes helped him learn the exercises in a fun way, and he has recently graduated from the "parent and me class." So, now he attends the Penguins class, which is for toddlers 2.5 years old (30 months) and above. He goes to class by himself and looks forward to it every week. My six-year-old niece was also very shy. In the beginning, she started in the cockatoos class for preschoolers; this was when she was five, and just recently, she graduated and now attends the flamingos class. My niece had Coach Andrew for cockatoos, and he was terrific at helping her gain confidence. At the Flamingos class, my niece has a coach, Alyssa, and she is doing so well! My niece won't stop bragging about her fantastic coach! I noticed Coach Alyssa truly cares and encourages her every time. Overall, they are very happy to attend. My sister tells me that Customer Service does a great job. There is an ongoing "Happy" feeling in the facility, and I feel this is because they are so family-friendly. The building has always been clean. I noticed there are not enough chairs in the lobby for all the parents and visitors like me, mainly during 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm (peak time), and it makes sense because even though the facility is enormous, there are so many classes with many children with their parents and all want to see them. I am happy and grateful my nephew and nieces love it and that there are places like this one that positively shapes their life.
