Information about Debbie Miller
Greg G.

Before I write about my experience for today I want to state this is a clean well maintained space with a good vibe. They have many items to assist and inform on metaphysical I have spoke to Claire a few times and found her guidance and assistance helpful. There are many items and aids to enhance one's journey with books, incense and notions. I attended a demonstration and talk about cranio-sacral therapy for healing. I wasn't sure what to expect but found session interesting. The speaker was Debbie Miller who was knowledgeable and informative during the discussion and demonstration as well. I learned about energy as it moves through the body and supports the body in healing. I was fortunate to be selected as a subject for the demonstration and get first hand experience in the metaphysical therapy. I didn't feel any immediate result from the session but learned that it isn't always a fast response and that working with one area can and will affect a different area in the body. What I was aware of after the session and sitting up on the massage table I felt an exhilarating rush to my head area as did others who were afforded the opportunity to experience the session. I was impressed with knowledge imparted to the attendees by Deborah. I am considering a follow-up with her to see if I will be able to get any release from the areas in my body that i have difficulties. I am grateful for this experience and optimistic on my healing journey.

I am a native Bostonian. I live in western Massachusetts. It's not merely that I've lived in a…read moreregion with many great bookstores, it's that I live in a region where there are multiple bookstores with national reputations and Wikipedia articles. And in a blasted ruin of a downtown, with many buildings obviously boarded up for decades, I found the best used bookstore I've ever seen. We were in NF on vacation, and in planning the day's travel, I thought, eh, let's check out the local bookstores. So we planned on stopping here for a half hour before moving on to a couple of museums. I won't go into huge detail -- just read the reviews below for the friendliness of the owner, the sheer size of the place, and how it's organized -- or belabor bits like me wearing a sweatshirt my mother gave me 20+ years ago extolling books and cats, and the owner gleefully pointing out the T-shirt on display with the exact same logo HIS mother gave to HIM 20+ years ago. But the selection is gargantuan, and we only covered the first two floors. Just the new books and fiction sections cleaned out our discretionary budget for the trip, and we went well over it to boot. See, for one thing, the prices are staggering: used paperbacks go for a dollar or two apiece, prices I haven't seen for a couple decades at least. I got two almanacs for $5 apiece, one from 1959 and one from 1947. Picked out a new book for my wife for her upcoming birthday, and the owner giftwrapped it for me. So anyway: we wound up buying over $200 worth of books. Far, far too many for us to carry home on the train. No problem: the owner boxed them up for shipping, and we received them today, only three days after we bought them. He said he does a lot of business online, and is willing to look for books on his shelves and ship them. We likely won't get back to the area for a couple years, and will absolutely take advantage of this. I could not recommend this establishment more highly. (Really, folks, don't fret about the location: it's directly across the street from the police station.)

Don't visit in a rush. There is plenty to see. Over a century of books under one roof. I was…read moreimpressed!
