We purchased our home largely because the inspection they performed came back clean. Just DAYS after closing, we started experiencing major foundational issues--with water literally pouring into the basement. We've had four separate basement and foundation experts come out, and every single one said the issues should have been caught during inspection. We now need $30,000 in foundation repairs. On top of that, our AC unit is too close to the gas line, which is not up to state code and also should have been flagged. We've tried reaching out via email, phone, and text--and have received no response to remedy the issues. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. This inspection will cost us tens of thousands of dollars and enormous stress. Avoid Wiemann at all costs.

He spent a few hours going over the entire house. Then the VERY SAME DAY he sent us a very thorough 40 page inspection report with a ton of information about everything from small electrical issues, to insulation in the attic, to water heater issues including photos of everything! Thankfully nothing major was wrong with this house but he did help save us so much time with issues we would have discovered down the line. Neal took the time to explain everything to us and even worked on our time frame as we are out of state buyers. TLC was professional during the inspection and provided the summary same day so that was nice. The inspection came back with only a couple minor things - crack in driveway, outlet that needed fixed. We moved in 2 weeks later and experienced several issues in the first couple days. After using the garbage disposal for the first time, we went to bed. In the morning water was all over the kitchen floor due to it leaking. It was taken apart to find corrosion and needed to be replaced. Second garbage disposal in laundry room was inoperable as well needed to be replaced. Kitchen bathroom sink leaked all over counter and underneath sink .. had to replace. After taking a bath the first time, there was water all over the floor .. heavy leak underneath we discovered. Kitchen faucet leaked and were told that was normal. Hall bathtub faucet to switch from bath to shower flow, didnt work. As you can imagine we were frustrated the inspection results did not indicate any of this. We emailed TLC to let them know of our troubles. The response we received from this business was shocking. In summary it said: I took pictures and tested everything. There was no leaking and he could not help if all of these issues started in the 2 weeks after his inspection. ..??.. I maybe see one issue popping up in 2 weeks but all of these? Come on. I would have expected a kinder response from a business owner and do not recommend him.

Dave Belding inspected my home pending it's sale. Dave cited a "very serious hazard" and "signs of…read moreback draft" on an older water heater. Upon further inspection from Schaal Heating and Cooling, a week later following his report, there is absolutely NO evidence of backdraft or the issues he was citing. While the water heater is older (1998) it is in complete working condition with no issues. This caused stress and concern about something that was not an issue.
