    Chocolate Chip 12pc Mini Cookies
    Michelle L.

I stopped in on a weeknight after having dinner next door. I needed a sweet treat! I opted for the 12 pc mini Chocolate Chunk Cookies. It was $7.72. There was some sort of discount. They were not accepting cash. The girl at the desk was friendly. They seemed to have a full selection. Listen cookies are rarely bad and these are good but not amazing. They were warm and the chocolate was melty!

Nice quaint store with access to street parking. The lovely cookie smell gets you when you come in the door. Pretty good cookies, a little pricey, 6 for $14 but hey, who's counting? ;) Do try.

Just walking in the doors you feel warm and fuzzy. The smell of fresh cookies in the air. Ahhhh.... First timer coming here and I was impressed. Got a cookie for me and my friend. One triple chocolate and one confetti cookie that was warm, soft and fall apart even. Service was a bit slow but it was a 420 festival so it was bound to be busy.

Warm cookies on a cold night is incomparable! I love insomnia. Their cookies are massive. They are warm and gooey every time. It's a little pricey and not a place to go if you're strict with calories. But fun little place in the loop that's always busy and never disappoints.

Had a late night craving for cookies and so this spot down the street from me was my option! Pretty slow night so I got my cookies fairly quickly. I grab an oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip and a new one blueberry cobbler. They all were pretty good as you would expect from this spot.

I came here pretty late at night and not a surprise, they were open. I got their chocolate chip cookie with vanilla Ice cream whic was delicousssssss! The cookie was fresh off the oven and it was really soft and perfect. You can also get it with other flavors of ice cream like chocolate, Oreo, etc. I would highly recommend this place if you are craving for a dessert late at night and can't find any place open or if you just want a delicious dessert to satisfy your cravings.

They will notify you when your order is received by the restaurant, when it is ready, when your pedaler is there for pick up, and when it is in route. I wish it was more accurate like Uber, but it gets the job done. Honestly, if you live in the Loop, CWE, Midtown, Downtown, and even Clayton. Use Food Pedalers to delivery your food on bikes. I honestly don't know how they would do it with very very large orders, but they have group catering online. The only thing I would note is they have some great restaurants in their porfolio, but not everything yet. Loop: United Provisions, Pi, Three Kings, Rannoush and some others that don't deliver Clayton is on break for the summer. This seems weird to me, but I'm sure it's because they are working on increasing their market share. Things to be wary of: The app sometimes is a little off. I tried to pre-order even in a close window and it often boots me out. In addition, the menu online is not the same menu for the same restaurants often. It's more limited. Anyways - glad to have this local service around for around $3.99 a delivery and you can tip your pedaler if you want online.

I ended up going so long I thought maybe I should put a summary:…read more - great local place run by family focused on food and hospitality - incredible empanadas (chorizo was my fave) - big servings, plates offering variety - loved ropa vieja & the salad with chimichurri feta A friend just introduced me to what is likely to be a new favorite go to place -- Havana on Euclid. I have seen it a few times but was always on the way somewhere else or some strange time of day. So glad Gabriela got me in the door. I should say I have a special place in my heart for Cuban food. As a kid a seminal food experience was a party at the home of an uncle's neighbor when I was 6. The neighbor invited our family to join a celebration of a child's birthday and I tasted new flavors the first time. As an adult I became close friends with someone who's a great cook and happens to be Cuban, we've even gone to incredible Cuban restaurants in NY, Miami, etc. Honestly, I worried Havana would not live up to my expectations HOWEVER that fear was unwarranted. Having dinner at the bar at Havana, felt like having dinner with friends. The kind of friends who check in to make sure you are happy but don't want you to feel rushed. The owner (Tamara) and family waited on us and made sure glasses didn't empty and that flavors and temps were on point. We decided to get the happy hour empanadas -- I love empanadas and similar foods from a wide range of cultures. There were three different ones we shared. They were all good but I really loved the chorizo one! The black bean one was really good too and the chicken one would have been great if I didn't have so many to compare with! Ropa vieja is a traditional Cuban dish and I decided to go with it for the down home comfort I know it to bring. The plate had that slow roasted beef, rice, black beans, yucca and plantains! I really wanted to eat it all but couldn't possibly. The black beans alone would be reason to return! It was all amazing. Gabriela had the Cuban Breeze Salad and says she has never gone wrong with that, or the Cuban sandwich or anything. Chimchurri infused feta was so intriguing and sounds so fresh that I have to go back. Besides that, I want to check in on the family.... Such good people! I left saying I will be back and the prices make it clear I should go sooner rather than later!

First off let me state I spent 40 years in Florida and have eaten some amazing Cuban (mostly small…read moreplaces, not just Columbia House). Additionally, like many ethnic foods, taste is highly subjective (mainly, was it as good as mom use to make?). That being said, this place is just OK. Prices for food were fair, food was average, and service was subpar. The lechon was rather flavorless, but the bread, from Tampa, not surprisingly was great. They acted a bit confused when I asked for black beans and rice (not congri). Like I don't think it was a menu item. How? How is black beans and rice not a menu item at a Cuban restaurant? They did serve it to me and it was decent, but it was like it has to be made special, just weird. Finally, the iced tea was served in a tiny glass and there were no refills. As for the service, they are not what you would call attentive. It took a bit to get our menus and then water, but the food came fast. However, after that, we never saw a server and had to find someone to get our bill. A few tweaks and this might be a place I would go back to, but as it is I'll keep hoping St. Louis gets a Cuban restaurant that I want to go to.

My research brought me here to Pappy's. I'm very glad it did. Ambiance starts with a line out the door, literally. You slowly shuffle down a long hallway full of Pappy's memorabilia. Then you make it to the ordering counter, order, and find a table. The dining room is huge, plenty of tables, with a full complement of sauces on each table. The service people at the counter were friendly, and so were the people delivering the food. The food came out quick and hot and delicious. We had baked beans and potato salad for sides, and they were pretty solid. Nothing show-stealing, but no complaints about them whatsoever. And of course, we got the ribs. Tender, juicy, a nice bite and chew, a decent bark, just a really wonderful rib. Better than any St. Louis style rib I've ever had back home in Florida. Other states, hard to say, the jury's out, but in that moment, I was eating a five-star rib. So good. We also got a 1/4 pound of the Burnt Ends. Usually, burnt ends are the king of meats, but I think we've entered the phase of America, where they're just another variety of meat and not necessarily upper echelon anymore. That being said, these were pretty ok. Should have gotten more ribs. Overall, Pappy's was pretty wow. Great local spot with a lot of pride and history, excellent ribs, I will definitely try to come back next time I'm in town.

It's not hard to see why The Food Network rated Pappy's as the "#1 rib joint in the country", as this place is next level bbq. You can smell the bbq from down the street and it will instantly make you hungry, even if you just ate... The place has the "cool bbq joint vibes", the employees are ultra-friendly, and it's fair/reasonable priced based on the quality of the food (runs between $40-50 for two people). Strongly recommend getting ribs, but their smoked chicken and turkey are outstanding as well. I didn't love their original bbq sauce (it was too thick and sweet with a heavy molasses flavor), but the hoodoo spicy sauce was out of this world. I would put Pappy's up against some of the other big named bbq joints in the country and they'd hold their own... Definitely worth the stop when in STL.
