Came here recently after a Giants game since it's close to the park and to the Bay Bridge! The girl working there was very nice and friendly. It's a small shop and I didn't notice seating so I think it's more of a grab and go location. Like every Insomnia cookies I've been to the cookies were fresh, hot and delicious! They have a promo right now for college students to get a free 6 pack while supplies last. I am currently a college student so I showed my student ID and got my free 6 pack. You could choose from the classic cookies for this deal so I chose peanut butter, double chocolate and snickerdoodle for mine! Great location, nice people and delicious cookies I'd definitely come back! read more

Went to Insomnia Cookies near Mission Bay and unfortunately something happened to where they closed early. I had to cancel my free cookie. I went to this Insomnia cookie location instead and the employee gave me two free cookies for the issues. I literally love her. I didn't get her name but you made my day. I also got a 6 pack of cookies read more

So I am walking down the street to Caltrain station to catch the T to go to union square to go to the 38 to go home in the Richmond district. I was at the Chase Center for the Valkyries game and wanted to avoid the crowd in front of the arena. I stumble on to this place and wanted to try. The guy who was working here was mumbling and not smiling, look and sounded like he did not want to work or be helpful. I got 4 cookies. I liked that they came in a pizza box. The shop is small and clean. I wish that they had the cookies displayed so I could see what the size and look of the cookies. read more

It feels so bougie to have an ice cream and cookie place that opens until midnight, and where a cookie + 2 scoops is $8. For the price, the selection and quality offered are underwhelming. While six ice cream choices sound like a lot, their flavor profiles are too similar to each other. Everything was sweet (overly so, IMO). It would've been nice to have some tart, fruity, or floral options; I know those don't go as well with cookies, but they would've been great for customers who only want ice creams. Same thing with cookies. I wish they had some interesting/different flavors. And for the ones offered, they're all too sweet. read more

Food poisoning. My wife and I had bad food poisoning from these cookies recently (visit was evening of 9/26). Super unsanitary and nasty in here. I have heard of other people getting sick here also. I would definitely stay away from this dirty cookie store. I hope the health inspector audits this place soon so that others do not get sick. I came here on a Monday night and had a pretty disappointing experience. When I first walked in, no one was at the counter--just a guy and a girl in the back, laughing. I had to wait for someone to finally come take my order, and when he did, he was super rude, rushing me and telling me to hurry up. I ordered a cookie and a brownie, which cost nearly $10 (plus tip), and both were cold and ridiculously small. Definitely not worth it. With the poor service and overpriced, underwhelming desserts, I won't be coming back. read more

I ordered $373 worth of cookies two days in advance for delivery for an event. They canceled my order with zero notification. No text. No call. No email. Reason? "Because we were out of chocolate chunk chips and our protocol is to cancel when this happens". I didn't even get the opportunity to order something else because they gave me zero heads up. I ordered via Baked Bear instead and had cookies delivered within an hour. So much for ordering in advance. read more

This location is not that good - the mini cookies are out of stock and the regular cookies are smaller and not as tasty for some reason?

My daughter has been begging to try these cookies, so I ordered some and had them delivered to my job to bring home after work... we ordered a s'mores, snickerdoodle, confetti, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip and milk n cookies (I believe it was called). They were bad but definitely not worth the hype. When they got to me they were still a little warm. read more

Service was amazing! We came in 10 minutes before closing and the lady was really nice. Ice cream is great and cookies were warm and fresh.

Been here a few times, but waited to review after this latest visit. I don't know if the dude behind the counter was in a bad mood or what, but I have never seen such badly prepared cookies. It's like he reached into the reject bin, scrunched them up & threw them in my box. Had I looked in the box before I left the store, there's no way I would have accepted what I was given. I had even tipped the guy BEFORE I received my order! Not that it should matter, but I really don't see any reason for the cookies I ended up with. One was even half the size of the other 2. With the exception of this visit, i bought a dozen each time. Having only had really good cookies 1 out of the 3 times I've been here, I'm probably not going back. read more

*RATING IS MOSTLY BASED ON THE SERVICE Last night, my wife and I stumbled across this cookie spot that was open until midnight after coming from a friend's party across the street. We were greeted by Taylor, who had a wonderful personality and fantastic energy. It was our first time there and after I asked her what her recommendations were, she just suggested that I started trying the ice cream which tasted great. I wanted just a cookie with some chocolate chip in it so I ordered the Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut which was a part of the deluxe options. I came out warm, right from the oven, so it hit the spot especially since it was after 9pm. I would definitely go back and I really hope Taylor helps us again because her kind and warm personality reminds me to smile more. read more

Rip off. Now they give only a single scoop for ice cream sandwiches, and they serve the smallest scoops ever.

Came here and ordered some oatmeal cookies and the cookies here are small as shit. 2 cookies for 7 bucks that wasn't even that good and sweet as hell. Honestly its not even better than a Safeway cookie. Ridiculous expensive for no reason read more

Insomnia Cookies is only steps away from where I live, which is pretty dangerous as my husband and my sweet tooth cannot be tamed after dinner. Nice to have yet another dessert shop nearby. + The hibiscus cookie is really, really good. Definitely the best cookie that we ate by far. I believe it's a seasonal cookie, so definitely try it out before they take it away! + All cookies are warm when they give it to you in a cute pizza box, so that always makes the cookies taste better + Different sizes for you to choose from, although you don't have the option to extra-large it for every flavor + Open until midnight (if you couldn't tell by the name), and they deliver - All of the other cookies that we got were basic, average tasting cookies: chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and white chocolate macadamia read more

Great food great service and there was only one worker but still good I get it it happens to me to

Ordered cookies through door dash with an expected delivery time of 13-24 min as the store is 800ft away. It took an hour to even get a driver assigned to my order. I called abt 30 min into waiting and the insomnia worker said "your order is ready and the driver will be here in 5" however driver was not there for another 25 min. Cookies arrived cold. read more

The icecream sandwiches here are good, for sure! Gets. Lot of napkins; they can get messy super quickly! The place is small; you choose your cookie and ice cream flavors. There is a smaller size and larger size. The larger size is perfect for two people. The inside isn't much; it's small and meant mostly for pick up and take out. Great for a late night sweet tooth craving. read more

Cookie time is all the time, especially when they're created at Insomnia Cookies, where their cookies are gigantic and served warm, not to mention available right at the foot of entrance to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Located on the corner of Harrison and 1st Streets in a new residential tower called Modera Rincon Hill in the Rincon Hill neighborhood of the city, which is also directly across from the freeway entrance, Insomnia Cookies is finally staking their claim to be the city's top purveyor of cookies, with this second location which just opened this past week. After previously visiting their first location in San Francisco's Financial District, I knew I had to check out this new location as soon as I could. After having dinner in the city with a friend, I remembered that Insomnia Cookies was still open just as I was driving on Harrison Street ready to get on the bridge headed for home. Parking along Harrison Street was a bit of a challenge, not to mention that being so close to the freeway on-ramp led to a lot of traffic on the street despite it being late in the evening. But after driving around, I did manage to find a spot a couple of blocks away, and I walked to their new location. There were a lot of festive balloons outside their entrance and inside this new location it is definitely more spacious than their other location in San Francisco, in addition to being both brighter and have a more welcoming vibe. The menu at Insomnia Cookies has their requisite cookies, with thirteen listed under their Classics and six under their Deluxe, in addition to two types of Brownies, six ice cream flavors, ice cream cookie sandwiches, sundaes, cakes, combos, and even sides, which consisted of cookie butter and icing. But the reason I came today was for their signature cookies and I know no matter what type of cookie I order, whether it's a classic or a deluxe, it's going to taste amazing, thanks to the abundance of fresh ingredients made with every cookie. What is nice about the menu at Insomnia Cookies is that in addition to selling their cookies individually, they sell them in packs and tonight since they were brand new, I knew I wanted to try their Deluxe Cookies and with a 4-pack being sold 16 dollars, I knew this would be a decently price point to try some of my favorite cookies. The ones on their menu that I went with were their Triple Chocolate Chunk, S'mores, Salted Caramel and Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut. Served in a cardboard box that resembled a pizza box and still warm to the touch, I managed to get home to try my first bite of cookie and I was not disappointed with any of my cookie purchases as they were moist, warm and flavorful with every bite. Plus the cookies being extra large in size certainly didn't hurt. These cookies would pair well with ice cream for dessert or a glass of milk for a late night snack, which was no doubt his intention when owner Seth Berkowitz founded Insomnia Cookies in his dorm room while he was at the University of Pennsylvania. With over one hundred locations and counting, they really have only just begun to crack what could be a lucrative market in the San Francisco Bay Area because we love our cookies and our late night snacking here, and with this location, which is open till midnight no less, and is in a central location for all Bay Area residents to have access to, as they are headed home for the evening before crossing the bridge. I am so happy that this location is here for all to enjoy, and here's to hoping that Insomnia Cookies opens more locations throughout the Bay Area so more of us can get our late night cookie fix satisfied! read more

It's super satisfying to just walk into Insomnia Cookies and immediately walk out with some deliciously baked cookies. The cookies are served warm, and the texture is a perfect mixture of soft and chewy on the inside yet still crispy on the outside. The flavors are pretty standard (chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, etc.), but the execution is top notch. If you're really craving some homemade cookies, but don't want to waste the time baking them yourself, this is definitely the place to visit. You could even walk out with a cookie ice cream sandwich. read more

I've walked past Insomnia a handful of times and always wanted to go in. The cookies are pretty standard. They have a great selection which also includes brownies! I got the peanut butter chip and the salted caramel. Peanut butter tasted exactly how I'd expect and the salted caramel had a butterscotch taste to it, which I don't hate. The cookies were served warm and soft, which are my favorite way to eat them, but I can't help and think that there's nothing special about them. Cute small shop, quick service, friendly staff. read more

Store employee Damond could be serving shit on a shingle, and I'd still probably give this store 5 stars. This guy is positive energy personified, and I want in on that. That's also how much customer service makes a difference. Fortunately, the cookies and ice cream sold at this Insomnia Cookies are anything but shit on a shingle - they are excellent! As I said, Damond is reason enough to give this place a try, but even if he's not there (the other employees are nice too), you have to go in and get the Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut Deluxe cookie. I've liked it so much, I haven't ordered anything else. Fortunately, my wife likes to try everything, so I can say with authority that all the cookies have been excellent. They come out of a warming tray nice and warm and ready to eat immediately. I'm clearly hooked on their cookies, but I've had ice cream samples and I can say that is good as well. I'm usually not one to be so big on a national chain, but this Insomnia location, and the people within, is an exception. Go in and enjoy your dessert. read more

The cookies are great when you get them, but I'm not sure who's in charge of this location because it never seems to be open, even when it says online they should be. After placing a pickup order, I tried to wak in an hour after opening today, the door was locked. A lady come to unlock the door, let me in and rudely said they weren't open yet and the cookies were still to be baked, expecting me to just wait around. She hadn't even seen the pickup order yet. I've heard similar things from other friends, which is why most have stopped going here. Disappointing, hope they manage to turn things around. read more

This does not make sense: When orders are placed through an app (DoorDash, GrubHub, Uber Eats, etc), those orders still have to be processed by the store.
