All workers there treat the patients with the upmost care. Our 2 weeks there were wonderful. Best PT & OT staff I've ever seen. Fast forward 12/30/25 my husband was moved there by Memorial Hospital after he was there for 2 weeks with GBS. We were there for 17 days. They worked with him & today he was able to come home. 2nd time he's had GBS in 34 years. Staff was incredible-especially Dr J & NP "Jay" OT & PT awesome 5 Star plus in every way. My father-in-law was here for 3 weeks. He was here because his knee was giving out and he was…read morefalling. When he arrived, his room was filthy. Balls of hair on the floor. Crusted food on the bed table and nightstand. Bed rails had "brown" smears on both sides! The bathroom had dries urine all around the toilet. When I started cleaning with the germicidal sani-wipes that the nurse gave me to use, every wipe I used turned black with filth. I went through about 40 wipes without assistance (over an hour). My Father-in-law got physical therapy on most days which consisted of 10 minutes on a bike, stand up-sit down's and side kicks while holding on to parallel bars. They stuck him in a wheelchair and in bed for 3 weeks! When he was discharged the woman in charge of the physical therapy department determined that he should be wheel chair bound for his safety! He was wheeled out to my car and sent home with no wheelchair, no shower chair, no walker, no reacher, nothing at all. Tomorrow will be one week and still nothing at all. I took him to an orthopedic doctor two days ago, and it was determined that his total knee replacement has gone bad and he needs a brace because the joint is too loose. The doctor ordered a brace and physical therapy for gait training to strengthen the muscles around the knee. He has not been in a wheelchair since the moment he was discharged. This place set him back further instead of improving his health. Don't take your loved ones to Vintage faire nursing and rehab unless you're wanting to throw them away. I've worked in the medical field for 29 years both in acute and rehab settings. I've never seen anything as appalling as this one. I reported them to California Department of Public Health. I called all day today trying to check on my grandmother and she had the worst attitude possible. Every phone call I made it was an attitude, she did not want to give me any chance to explain what I needed over the phone. All that she kept saying was unit number, unit number, unit number or I can not help you. Not letting me get any words out to even say what I needed or why I was calling. I finally decide to go down to the place and maybe I could get a different response... well I was so wrong! She would not let me get two words out without rolling her eyes and putting her greasy hair behind her ears. Oh and let's be clear.. I heard you tell that Latin lady that the bitch in the lobby was being rude! Thank goodness I know how to carry myself in situations like this one. Called security on me and told them I was being rude which was 100 percent untrue. Then told security not to let me in to see my grandmother, like excuse me? Who are you? Ever heard of customer service? Ever heard of asking questions before you bark at someone? Finally security tells her that she has to let me in.. big surprise right?! I find it really funny that security laughed at her when they came to talk to me because they remembered me from yesterday and know everything she said was untrue. Get a grip and learn to take your attitude out on someone else. I will be filing a formal complaint for the disrespect that this lady showed me today.
