While check in wasn't until 4, you are allowed on the grounds for the days you are there, whether you are checked in or not at your rental. Such a great perk! We spent the majority of the day at the Charette Creek Commons pool. Its huge, plenty of seating. There are umbrellas that are permanently in the ground so the chairs are arranged around them. There are no towels, bring your own and while inflatables are not allowed, pool noodles are. There is a food service area on site, they had BBQ this day, and prices seemed reasonable. There is a full bar on site, which beer is reasonable, I feel like the frozen drinks and other concoctions are priced high. Unfortunately every time I tried to get one of them, they were out or not frozen yet. There is a restaurant on site, Clubhouse Bar and Grill, however we had overheard there were several bachelor/bachelorette parties headed there so we opted to save that for another time. There is a little shop and creamery also on the grounds. We are not golfers but the golf course was popular and looked like a great course. Cannot wait to get back!

Once we got there on Friday night, the door couldn't be opened as the door chain was blocking it, which is very bizarre because that only happens when you lock it from the inside. They did bring someone to fix it and by the time it was all figured out, 45 min had passed. We needed to get inside to change into our bathing suits so we could go to the beach. Then once inside, my 5 year old got on the bed and was playing with my husband. My kid got inside the covers and I noticed an off white stain size of a hand on the white sheet (we all know what that was)! I tell her to get out of there immediately. I inspect the sheet and there are also hairs and sand. Makeup stain on pillow. They had never been changed it seemed like. I inspect the bed cover as well and notice a weird brown stain on it and a bunch of other stains. It was pretty much filthy. It had a film of dirt on top. Especially the throw pillows. They hadn't been changed or washed in months, if not years. You could see the spot in the middle where people had put their heads, it looked greasy and tan. I check out the other beds and they all had the same issue. Bed covers and throw pillows were all beyond filthy and smelly. I call customer service and explain the situation. They bring someone to change the sheet but only for one bed. I tell her they all needed to be changed. She goes back to bring more linens. Meanwhile the kitchen sink smelled like there was a dead animal in there somewhere down the drain. I ask housekeeper to come take a look while she was in there (she was really nice actually). I thought the smell came from the water, but she figured out it was actually the drain. FLIES were coming out of the sink drain as well. That's how nasty it was. She said she had some tablets in her car for it and that she was going to grab them for me. That did fix the problem thanks God, but it left me really grossed out with the place. Oh, and my mom went and cleaned the patio furniture as it was all covered in sand - tables and chairs. There was no where to sit. So by the time all this was over, it was dark outside and we missed going to the beach altogether. Innsbrook Inn texts me the next day saying they will offer me a late check out for all of the troubles they caused. I thought that was a joke. I told them they should have offered at least half off refund for wasting almost half my time. Honestly if they had any shame at all, they would have offered a full refund for having us come into contact with other people's nasty bodily fluids!!! They said they would offer me $120 off but no more. This was a complete rip off!

Dye, the son of legendary architect Pete Dye. From that you can infer you will be in for a stern test. Boone Valley offers up one of the most picturesque golf courses you will find in the world. I can say without skipping a beat this is the best golf course in town. If you ever find this place busy, you are at the wrong place. Bent fairways that are manicured to perfection and greens that roll truer than most any you will find. Here is a helpful tip. 98% of the putts out here break toward the front gate. Now you have no excuse when you miss your first putt. Oh, and the employees here are nothing but the best. Only to be expected at a club like Boone Valley. If you don't know a member to help you get on, now is the time to start looking.

Only played 12 of the holes because we got so frustrated by constantly being harassed by the Marshall to speed up. We skipped a hole to get ahead and they put another group behind us. We were a coed foursome so we had to use two different tee boxes and we all started teeing off the same tee box to speed up but that didn't help. We finally just quit even though we were not playing slow. We could not even stop to chat with any of the sponsor tents because we were pushed so much. Definitely would not recommend unless you enjoy playing lightning rounds. In 20 years of golfing I have never left a course as discusted as I was when I left this one.

The greens were a…read morelittle slow today because it had rained 2 inches last night, but they were smooth, green and in fantastic shape, in spite of the undulations and ridges which I could never seem to read right. The scenery is great also. Last year they added 9 holes to make it 18. We all know how hot and bad last year was. Those added holes have come back well for being brand new in a hot drought year. This course has a lot of potential. I do think it plays harder than its slope rating and that makes it a good challenge. I'm not sure about weddings here, but the golfing is fun.

The course was in somewhat rough shape , but had only been opened for a couple of weeks. We would fully expect that the fairways would fill in nicely as Spring progresses. Course had very large greens which suited our style of play quite well. The course had a nice layout with many of the holes quite scenic. Lots of elevation changes which added to the golfing challenges. The counter person, Bill, was quite personable and accommodating. We all look forward to a return visit.
