Is Dr. Kakkar board certified in a field where neurotoxins are used on a cosmetic basis? According to the Colorado Medical Board, he is certified in psychiatry and neurology. Further, neither field utilizes lasers or filler.

Kevin, you are correct in that Dr. Kakkar is not board certified in plastic surgery if that is the field about which you are speaking and that he is board certified in neurology and psychiatry. He has, however, received extensive training, first by… Read more

Karyn and Ariel helped us throughout our experience and were lovely and so hospitable. We had a room to lounge in with tea (mint & strawberry hibiscus) as well as snacks like nuts and fruit. Some comfy chairs to lounge in and neck pillows. Ariel was amazing at checking in with us throughout, refilling the hot water for tea, and making sure we didn't need anything else. We all had separate treatments, everything from facials to massages. They had us fill out forms in advance to get our information and massage preferences. It was really thorough - everything from what scented lotion we wanted to what type of music plays in the room. Allyson was my masseuse and she was wonderful. So friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with her throughout, and her hands worked magic. I felt so relaxed afterward. There was a moment during the massage where my back felt a little funny in one area, I told her, and she immediately helped target that area and was appreciative that I let her know. I definitely recommend her. We all had a great time! Wonderful spot for a massage for yourself or with a group!

Needless to say, the experience was amazing. Lisa took care of me. She was incredibly sweet, kind, and gentle throughout the entire session. She guided me through every step, always asking for permission to touch and clearly explaining each procedure, which made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. Before we began, she examined my scalp and introduced the equipment she would be using, which I found really interesting. I was happy to learn that I have strong, thick hair. For oils, I chose the clear bottle that everyone seemed to recommend, along with bergamot. The massage itself was fantastic--just the right amount of pressure to release tension and knots. When we moved to the second room, I laid on the massage chair, which was incredibly comfortable and made me feel like I was on cloud nine. The entire hour-plus session felt magical and passed by way too quickly. My only minor critique would be the eye mask that was offered. It felt a bit tingly and caused a slight burning sensation around my eyes--not unbearable, but noticeable. I later found out my friend chose the unscented version and experienced a similar experience. Afterwards, we returned to the seating area for a follow-up scalp check. While they blow-dried our hair, we were treated to complimentary tea and baklava from the shop next door, which was delicious and exactly what I needed. Overall, this was truly a 10/10 experience and the perfect introduction to my first head spa massage. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Let's begin with a confession…read more I am a grown man who gets pedicures. I refer to the process, affectionately, as "sanding my hooves." Now before the men reading this clutch their masculinity like a fragile heirloom, let me explain something. At a certain point in life you must confront the reality that the feet you've been ignoring for decades are attached to the rest of you. And if you live in Colorado, those feet are eventually going to end up in flip flops or sandals. Enter Etoile Salon, where professional technicians transform what can only be described as feral hiking hooves into respectable human feet again. They truly are superb. Gentle, focused, and extremely professional. No rushing, no chaos. Just skilled people quietly performing the miracle of turning your feet back into something you wouldn't be ashamed to parade around town. For the record, I usually go with The Classic Etoile Pedicure. 35 minutes, $50. It's the perfect amount of time for someone to politely and methodically restore order to your feet while you sit there contemplating life choices. There are also plenty of add-ons if you want. Scrubs, treatments, upgrades. The spa equivalent of "would you like fries with that?" Then something unexpected happened. I started adding color. At first it was tentative black. You know...safe. Masculine. The gateway color. Then came money green. A little flash. A little attitude. Fiscally responsible. And most recently...royal purple. If this continues, by summer I fully expect to be sitting in that chair calmly selecting something called "cosmic mermaid chrome." The owner, Nara, is an absolute rock star. She's been in the industry for nearly two decades and that makes you realize the person working on your feet knows far more about taking care of them than you ever will. But credentials aside, what really stands out is how she runs the place. Nara has mastered the rare hospitality skill of making every customer feel like a longtime regular. People walk in and greet her like family, and she somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly while making sure everyone feels welcomed and relaxed. Which makes sense, because the entire vibe of the salon is calm and comfortable, not rushed. A logistical tip: they get slammed early on weekends. My last appointment was 1pm on a Saturday and it was practically serene. Six chairs, three customers, zero chaos. Now here's the part that tells you everything you need to know. I live in Cherry Creek, which has roughly one nail salon per block. I could walk to several of them while holding an Americano and pretending I'm productive. Instead, I drive 15 minutes to Etoile. Because when someone is responsible for maintaining your toenails, you develop loyalty. So gentlemen, if you've been avoiding pedicures because you think it's not your thing, let me offer a perspective. You maintain your car. You service your HVAC. You sharpen your kitchen knives. Why would you ignore the two things that literally take you everywhere? Go get your hooves sanded. And if you're feeling bold, try royal purple. It's surprisingly empowering.

First impression was they would be really good and let's be honest they are, but I don't feel like…read moreI got the full experience of a mani and pedi. My technician skipped steps in the mani and pedi process. I left with hangnails, both nails and toes were not really shaped but you know what I'm going to give them another shot. I give each nail place 3 times before I choose they are not worth spending money at so maybe it was just who they had assigned to me, who knows.

She was extremely personable and asked me so many questions about myself, my goals, and of course my hair. I have struggled to maintain and make my curls look "bouncy" and shiny the way it looks after I visit a salon. Andrea was very patient and thorough when explaining to me what products and oils I could use and demonstrated the techniques on my hair so I knew how to replicate this myself once I got home. I was going to an awards dinner this particular evening and requested a blowout but I appreciated that she helped me cut my natural curls first so I could see and know what to expect once I wore my hair natural again (I don't think any hairdresser has taken the time to do this for me). The blow out looked great too and it was nice to have Andrea take so much time to show me both styles and explain both to me. She always paused to ask how I was liking the cut and getting my feedback. I'm pretty low maintenance but it was lovely to have her be so detailed. From the beginning, even prior to our appointment, she was very communicative and even texted me a few days before I went to the salon to make sure I had full transparency on price, expectations, and she also had me share photos of my hair so she could be prepared. She texted me the day after my appointment as well to check in with me and said she would be available with any follow up questions I might have. The haircut aside, Andrea is just such a lovely and wonderful human being! The conversations we had were the absolute highlight of my week. She is a compassionate, caring and truly remarkable individual! I feel so lucky to have stumbled into this salon by chance, as I live very close by and have passed it many times. If you are curious about this salon and thinking about a haircut, please do not hesitate and ask for Andrea. You shall not be disappointed!
