Called back for my appointment on time and the initial eye tests were done by an assistant to get my file updated and ready for the doctor. Assistant explained everything clearly as we proceeded and then left me in a room to wait for the doctor. Within minutes Dr. Maryam Ali came in and did my exam. She is very professional and personable. She answered my questions and I never felt rushed. In the end she was honest and told me that my eyes have not changed enough since my last check up to require a new prescription or new frames...unless I wanted them. I enjoyed my years with Dr. Burrows, but I am looking forward to my future appointments with Dr. Ali.

I read up on their reviews from other sites and through word of mouth and decided to book an appointment. I am very glad that I did! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating - welcoming me as a came in and throughout the entire examination and fitting. The optical evaluation staff were supportive, listened to my experiences in sight, and took the time to complete things effectively and thoroughly. They engaged in not only "shop talk" about my vision but also "small talk" to make me feel at ease and get to know me. This was much appreciated. After the evaluation was completed, I only had to wait a few minutes for the results to be shared. Once that was done and the doctor recommended what prescription I needed and the type of glasses that would be best, I went over to their fitting and selection side of the office. The woman that helped me was very professional and nice as well. She had me take a look at the many types of frames they had and pick out some that hit the style I liked. Then she grabbed a few more that were similar and had me try on about four or five different ones to let me decide which were the ones I wanted. From there, we talked about lens. I chose to go with the transition lens (which, I have to say have taken some time to get used to; but it'll come). They placed the order and came within that time window they said. Got them picked up, fitted a bit, and was on my way. They seemed to get a wee bit loose after a few weeks and I was easily able to swing by and get a free adjustment. Now they fit great. They also are very easy to work with when it comes to insurance (which isn't always the case with doctors' offices). My only wish for them is that they were open a bit on Saturdays. For me, it's hard to get there from work on weekdays and had to wait for a day off to visit. Other than that, all was great and I highly recommend them.

My eyes needed a prism in the lens to give me good vision. Other doctors didn't diagnose that, and I had plenty of problems with the glasses they prescribed. Today, I had an (EEEEK) root canal, performed by Dr Devin and staff. I'd never had this particular…read moretype of adventure before, so only knew the horror stories I'd heard about pain, pain, and more pain. THOSE OLD STORIES ARE NO LONGER TRUE! After requesting a blanket & neck pillow, I went in, and got a numbing experience, literally. [Did I mention that I HATE needles] A topical numbing agent was dabbed on the injection area, and after a few minutes, a vibrator was turned on in my mouth while the injection was administered. I felt only the tiniest 'pick'. A few more minutes later, a second injection of numbing agent was put in. This time, I didn't even feel the pick. While I waited for that to do its job, I noticed that, on either side of the target tooth, my feeling was absolutely normal; it was as if that one small area no longer existed! Doc Devin and his assistant (I'm sorry, I didn't get her name) explained to me and showed images of my tooth and what to expect. My questions were fully answered. A different kind of image was needed, so I was taken to this amazing machine that talks as it get ready, "ready to capture". But the really FUN part is that while it's imaging, it has these funny burbbly, squirbbly sounds; I felt like I was inside a video game or on an old fashioned carousel! Very cool! To make a long story short, Doc Devin explained the new images and got to work. NEVER DID I FEEL ANY PAIN WHATSOEVER!!! Neither was my whole face numb, only that one area. After my root canal was finished, I went for coffee and did some shopping before heading home. After about 3 hours, even that limited area was no longer numb! So, if like me, you've heard horror stories about root canals, SEE DOC DEVIN! I can't give him and his staff enough credit. They are AMAZING!!!
