I had a great experience with this company . I have a pair of expensive Valentinos Summer heels , that I only wear in the summer time . I noticed that one of the buckles the gold plating had came off . I took it to a shoe shop and they told me I could take it to a plating shop and they could fix it . I had no idea this could even be done , but I figured it was worth the try due to the fact that I love the shoe and it is very expensive to give away because of that defect . I reached out to innovating plating and I was able to send in my photos and get a quote . The buckle was re dipped in gold plating and they did a great job . I had an antique medal which I wore in a movie. It was bronze and starting to tarnish. I dropped it off on a Friday and told Carlos I needed it by Monday. Carlos promised it and delivered. BE CAREFUL ..... Do not go to this company... I have never left a negative review in my life, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to any store. Unfortunately, the standard at this store was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the store, I had to wait for several minutes to be greeted, when finally a lady said hi to me, in a very unproffesional flirty manner. I brought my expensive watch to that store. I asked to clean the watch ,but they damaged my watch unfortunately. She gave the watch to me with a lot of water and stem inside that. They don't know their job. They have not been responsible for their mistake. I showed the watch to the lady (Andre Delcid) immediately but she told me is going to be dry after an hour. They damaged my watch. I have been in this business my entire life. I used this company for some rose gold plating a couple of times because my regular plater did not want to do rose gold. The job was acceptable. My regular plater also did not do anodized finishes. They said they could perfectly match up the bracelet to the watch case. I suggested they keep the case to confirm the match but they insisted, it was not necessary. Weeks later, after several attempts to retrieve the job they gave me the bracelet back. Surprise, it was the wrong finish and they made excuses about it which were pathetic. They said they would correct it. But after 12 months I finally gave up as my time was more valuable than the item itself. They seemingly lost the job while continuously telling me they had given it back to me. This is not a serious place. They lose things and blame it on other people. The owner is a coward and hides in the back, he will not come out if there is a problem. I am not even sure he is there. Don't believe the negative reviews because everyone's experience is going to be different. I dropped off jewelry to be gold-plated to use for a photoshoot. Then, out of curiosity, I read the reviews and, out of paranoia, I gave these guys a bit of a hard time without giving them a chance, first. I was wrong. Carlos seemed like a really nice and personable guy when we took some of my and my fiancee's items to him the first time around. So I dropped off some more to him three weeks ago and asked him to ship it to me when it was done. I don't know what has happened other than "he's out of the country" but I've been given the run around for three whole weeks now and haven't gotten my stuff back. Whatever you do, stay away from this place. I left items with them on Friday for plating and prices were discussed. I expected them done by Monday. Wednesday comes and I still haven't heard from them, so I call THEM. She says they haven't done it because they have to charge more. I say how much more she says she'll let me know. She never does. I call back and say when will it be done I don't care what it costs just do it, she says Friday. I call Friday morning to be sure as I have to go extremely out of my way and fight five o'clock downtown traffic, she says yes, by 330pm. At 5 o'clock when I get off work I race to get over there, only to find out they have done LITERALLY NOTHING A WEEK LATER. She gives me some story about how they have to charge more still and that's why they didn't do it. I say but I talked to you hours ago and you told me it would be done- she said there was a miscommunication, but I said you TOLD ME IT WOULD BE DONE BY 330 AND LITERALLY NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Excuses are like.... what's the saying??? Do yourself a favor and save yourself a week of absolutely nothing being accomplished, especially if you have waiting clients like I do, or did. I needed my bathroom shower and tub fixtures replated. They were old, tarnished plated brass and Carlos replated them to match my brushed silver faucets. He did a perfect job! Terrible service. Started off ok. I dropped my ring for plating and when the lady at the counter didnt ask for any contact information I asked if she needed it. She said no because she would remember my ring. When I came to collect the ring I was left to wait in the lobby for nearly 15 minutes. Finally the lady came out and asked what my ring looked like and i showed her a photo..disappears again..emerges finally and says my ring was not ready. I asked why and she said it was accidentally given to another customer but that they would come back immediately to return the ring. I wasn't too upset at this point so i left my number for them to call me when it was returned. Over an hour later still no news I called back and asked what was taking so long and the lady said my ring was plated the wrong color and they need to fix it but they couldn't do it same day and i would have to come back another time. At that point I was starting to get upset and told them they needed to fix the ring and that I would wait a few more hours until it was done. She actually gave me an attitude and sighed over the phone! Then i get a call saying the ring was done. When I went to pick it up they had obviously sloppily plated over the mistake and the result was blotchy and uneven. When i pointed this out Carlos denied it, and when I refused to pay for this horrible service he got angry and fought with me about it. What a nasty place. I would never recommend this business to anybody who is looking for professionalism. Luckily the ring was not expensive but I can only imagine how much worse this situation would be if it was!
