This El Nido Hotel is fairly priced, but there are some things that can be improved. the main building has some nice views of the ocean by the lounges. However, the lounges are a noise issue as it is adjacent to all the rooms. I unfortunately also stayed next to the quad rooms, and since there were more guests, it was
usually noisier in the morning because of the shuffling of guests with the voices carrying.
It would be nice to have some outdoor seating. There were some plumbing issues during my stay and it's one of those typical Asian bathrooms where there's no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. The entrance was difficult to find. They closed the main entrance and created a second entrance with poor signage. Staff were generally nice, but the receptionist didn't really seem to acknowledge that they needed to increase visibility. I had to call and text to find out how to enter the hotel. They did not pick up any phone calls.
Good for a very short stay, especially if you're taking the tours as it is close to the general departure sites. Three blocks from the main shopping and eating district of downtown. read more
