From the beginning this company was shady. First off, they made me feel as if I needed to qualify…read morefor their services, when I was doing the hiring. Second, he told me not to keep any appointments or interviews with other providers while I consider them. I had to say yes or no without talking to anybody else, what? I was desperate for help. THREE home visits later, they finally brought me a caregiver. I explicitly asked for someone who likes big dogs. They brought me someone who's "biggest fear in life" was dogs. Brandon from Zara said she will get used to them. I said this wont work for me, but my point is, Dominic and Brandon didnt hear my needs on several points. To top that off, he said Oregon law states that Zara must have regular home visits several times a year so they can make sure their employee is doing the job, and to know Im not covering up anything. Nope, once a year and thats to reasses. He INSISTED before I had to say Ill go with another, less bothersome company. He relented to twice a year, I said once. If my caregiver was ever late or sick, Brandon would call me to see if my care giver was telling the truth. I had to tell them twice not to bother me with that stuff. My caregiver said she hadnt gotten a raise in nearly 2 years. When she called in sick, Dominic told her to stop being childish...?... And she quit without notice, I cannot blame her and I miss her, she was the best caregiver I ever had! His lack of managerial skills affected my life in a bad way. Because of Zara, I went 2 weeks without help, and with a fractured ankle.
