Typical sleazy Independent BMW service. Would not recommend to anyone. Bad attitude, junk cars.

Allen was a tremendous help today. I live in Massachusetts and was purchasing a used car in…read moreConnecticut. It was last minute, but I found some mechanics listed on yelp who said they did mobile repairs and reached out. Allen was a great communicator and his price was fair for a pre-purchase inspection. He arrived exactly when he said he would and walked me through a multi-point inspection of the vehicle. He explained what he was looking for and how he determined if there was a problem or not. After a thorough check of the physical car, we went for a test drive and Allen again helped me understand what any areas of concern might be as he was carefully assessing the vehicle. He helped me find a few issues that were relatively minor. At the end we reviewed the inspection and discussed what the market value for the vehicle might be. I was fortunate (lucky) to find Allen available on such sort notice and am glad that I chose him for my pre-purchase inspection. I'm not sure I would have felt as confident in my choice to purchase the vehicle without Allen's expertise.

A false review? When an individual is sent through yelp to your service center and you inquire to…read morethem about their vehicle and they inform you of the problem and you never respond back to them after they tell you what the problems are and they are waiting for response and you don't get back to them and then they need to find another shop......that is poor customer service......but I did see that you had the time to say it was a false review. That speaks volumes.

This Estimate documented the need for the following replacements: (1) the oil pressure switch, thermostat housing, and power steering pump. On 4/10/2019, Rich replaced the oil pressure switch and thermostat housing. Immediately upon return of the Mustang, the oil-pressure gauge began to intermittently shift from E to F and the dashboard oil-pressure icon illuminated as well. On 4/15/19, the Mustang was returned to Rich's, to remedy the issues of the gauge shift and icon illumination. Bethany Silvia informed me that the problem remained and the condition of the Mustang was my responsibility. On 5/10/19, my wife was driving home, during which the Mustang began a "rat-tat-tat" sound that gained volume. She was less than a mile from Rich's and managed to drive there safely. On 5/14/19, I was informed by Rich that there was a problem with the Mustang "deep in the engine." I then picked up the car from Rich's and drove the Mustang across the street to Karns Automotive Sales & Service, for a second opinion. On 5/15/19, Dan Karns called and indicated the cause of the loud engine noise was the fact that there was no oil in the engine and no reading on the dip stick. Dan added five quarts of oil. The internal noise persists, and the car cannot be driven. A new engine is needed.

I had my VOVLO XC90 dropped on a Sunday and 4 days later the cars was running like new. Prior to the car breaking down on I95 - I had a series of electrical issues that been causing my car to malfunction. I had been ripped off for several thousand dollars by VOLVO dealers for while and got nothing fixed for the money. The breakdown that weekend brought me within 4 miles of this fantastic shop. John fixed the problem for $300.00 - I almost begged the man to charge me more. Imagine breaking down and having your car taken to a complete stranger for repairs? The 1st thought is - I am going to pay up the nose for this one! I would have paid triple for what this man did for me that day. I reside 75 miles away from this shop but If I ever need anything done to my car I will not hesitate to make car to John for an honest fix! I know its 7 months since the break down - but I just couldn't believe it was that simple and cheap (just felt to good to be true). I just had to give it time to realize he did in fact fix my car problems 7 months later. Sometimes things are as good as they appear! Carlos
