Walked in on a Friday night with an idea, and walked out with an amazing new piece. My friend Kelsie and I came in as walk-ins for some little Bobby pins. First impression on the shop was absolutley amazing. I have NEVER seen a shop like this high class. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The booths are really well done and very private. The waiting area has ipads for you to look through each artist's portfolio. We were immediately greeted by Corey. He was extremely polite. He informed us he had one quick tattoo to do and then he would be right with us. After he finished, we all stepped out for a smoke(which he graciously gave us one because we were out of ours) we got to talking a little more, and he was very helpful with the placement and design of the whole thing. It came out perfect. Corey is the type of artist that you can truly trust with decision making. He knows what he is doing, and he does it well. He is easy to work with, and I will come back to him anytime I come back to Florida. We are in Florida visiting and the weather isn't cooperating, so we decided we should get tattoos. I messaged them to see if they took walk ins and that there would be 4 of us with small to medium sized ideas... Jason said "yeah! we can fit you in" ... told us to be at the shop at 10am, he didn't show up until 1020, was way more worried about getting himself coffee than helping us.... when my fiance and i showed him what we had been thinking ... his reply was "oh, one of those...." he didn't work is in... he scheduled them for tomorrow at 10 and who knows if he'll even show up on time tomorrow. We decided to check other places and take our business elsewhere where he's as dedicated to the permanent ink on my body as i am... very disappointed. uncomfortable atmosphere read more

If you ever are in Destin and are hankering for a new tat - go on over to Steve's Ink Spot. The guys there were patient with us as we paged through notebooks until we found "the one". I got an "Ankh" and my friend got a beautiful butterfly and they were both done with great skill and artistry. The price was also pretty good for the size and amount of work that these guys took. Everyone in the shop was friendly, it was VERY clean and we all had a very good time. When I go back to visit my sister, I am definitely going back for another tat! read more

I will not be back here again. While I cannot speak of all tattoo artists there, Jason McDaniel lacks true pride in his work and lacks work ethics. He does not care about how your tattoo turns out after he has been paid. He continually brushed me off about getting my touchup done to fix his mistake and take care of some other things he said he saw he wanted to work on. I had a shaky line and some other areas that needed fixed from my first session, which could have been taken care of at my second session. He did an extensive (and expensive) tattoo on my side and at my second/final session, he said at the beginning he would make an appointment for me before I left for 1 month out for a touchup to fix the crooked line he did and some other things he saw he wanted to work on. Then at the end of the session, he told me to text him in about a month to schedule the appointment. I contacted him a month later and made my appointment. When I came in, he was tattooing someone and was nowhere near done. He said he somehow thought I meant the next Monday, so we arranged for it to be the next Monday same time. I went in for my scheduled appointment, and yet again, he had someone and was not going to be done anytime soon. He told me that he could see me Friday and to text him on Friday to get it done. I texted him early on Friday, and he then said he was out of town for the weekend. Since that time, anytime I texted him about putting me on the calendar, all I got was that he is booked up this week and has not had time to look at his calendar for the following week. I continued to ask he continually told me he had no time to look at his calendar. I find it funny that he had no time to take 1 minute to look at his calendar and yet kept his calendar booked up all the time. After four weeks of doing this, I decided to pay someone else to fix it for me. He never had any intention of fixing my tattoo, and when I pointed out the shaky line to him in my second session, he had told me it was due to stretch marks. First of all, I have no stretch marks as I have never had children, nor have I ever been overweight (I have always been thin), and if he meant it was due to the stretching of the skin during the tattoo process, the crookedness stands out even more when you do stretch out the skin. Also, the inked line did not even stay on the outline that was put on me... so I suppose stretch marks and stretching my skin made him miss the outline when inking me??? I would not recommend seeing him for a piercing either. While being tattooed and only at the beginning of my second session, someone came in with their family members wanting to get a nose piercing. He told them to come back in an hour or two, knowing full well that he would not be done with my tattoo. They came back while we were on a break from my tattoo. He was outside smoking and when he came back in, he did not even acknowledge their presence. I had to tell him that they were waiting to see if he could do the piercing now, and it was only then he talked to them and he told them he could not do it and to come back another day. They wasted hours of their day trying to wait on him to do a piercing that he could have easily done before starting on my tattoo again. read more

After going to numerous tattoo shops to get a bottom of the foot touch up (I'm aware it's strange and wears off quickly) and being not only laughed at, condescended, and spoken very rude to - I came to ink spot. They only warned me of the wear and tear and agreed. They were very polite and very patient. Great customer service. Corey did the tattoo and I absolutely recommend him to anyone. I did a lot of research before getting my tattoo, artwork done. And found this tattoo spot. It is awesome, great people, great shop, and even better work. I am getting my Koi half sleeve done by Corey; and his work is amazing. I am definitely impressed and I am coming back to get a samurai mask after my deployment is finished. My first initial appointment with Steve's Ink Spot was pleasant. I made my appointment and went to have my tattoo done on my wrist. Steve told me that because it was on my wrist I will have to have it redone because of the way the wrist bends, it can leave spots on the tattoo that look undone. He said I can come back and have it redone for free. I kept that in mind and the following month I tried to make an appointment. I continued to call for weeks - Steve was never there. Finally I got in touch with him, made an appointment and showed up on time. Steve never showed up. He said he was "sick" but this was after his coworker called him at home to remind him he had an appointment with me. Steve never apologized. He should have at least called ahead of time so I wouldn't have to drive from Fort Walton to Navarre in the middle of rush hour traffic on 98. That is called "good customer service", letting your customer know ahead of time that you can't make it to the appointment. Needless to say, it was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had. Not to mention he did my tattoo crooked. I went to Sacred Xpressions to have it fixed and it now looks miraculous. read more
