Nice little shop in the middle of nowhere. I lived in Salisbury for a couple of years, and…read morehonestly it is the armpit of Maryland. At best it is a stopover for those running late for Ocean City. I guess it is a college town as well. Surprisingly, there is a small faction of social outcasts that turned up in Salisbury and man what a group of cool people they are. They do things like piercing and tattooing and partying...They are exactly what the Bible thumpers on DelMarVa need, people to bring this this left behind part of the US in to the modern age. Crucial Tattoo had just finished remodeling when I had moved there, so I couldn't tell you what the old one was like. The shop takes up two units of the building they are in. The front of the house has the standard sampling of the artists tattoo's, magazines for inspiration, really comfortable couches just in case you have to wait for your artist to get to you, fashionable clothing for people who like tattoo's, and body jewelry. One of the cases has some old masks that came from the orient, which are awesome...it is too bad they aren't for sale. That back of the house is where all the magic happens. There is a room for piercing, and a few chairs for tattooing. Everything is clean. All the artists use disinfecting cleaner, gloves, and autoclaves. Usually the artist and the customer are the only people allowed in the back. Once in awhile the owners like to have special days for frequent and favorite customers. Usually a small selection of appetizers and finger food and a good amount of socializing...plus good deals on tattoo's by talented artists. I highly recommend Casey O and Erik from personal experience.

The shop is extremely clean and organized, the jewelry is high quality, the waiting area is super comfortable and the entire space gets the best natural light which just adds to the warm and relaxing atmosphere. A lot of piercers can be intimidating or dont create a comfortable space for you to ask questions or give input, however cheyne is very easy to talk to and really took the time to go over placement and check in with me while marking to make sure i was happy with it and comfortable during every step. When it came time for the actual piercings, they were done quickly and gently and the jewelry was in before I even knew it. Cheyne took the time to discuss exactly what I wanted and demonstrated great applied understanding of anatomy, sterile piercing technique, and client care. The result was a perfect septum piercing. Cheyne also has a very client-first approach: he suggested multiple jewelry options, including some that were less expensive than the one I preferred, and even offered recommendations for other piercers if I could not find exactly what I wanted at his shop that day. This demonstrated that his priority is helping the clients achieve the best piercing, not just making a sale. Tradecraft is the only piercing studio in the area I have found with high quality jewelry and high quality piercers. Go get poked here!

He greeted us warmly and confirmed he had time for mother/daughter tattoos before shop closing unlike another area shop we tried first. I showed him a picture of what we liked, he helped alter it on his computer to our liking within minutes. We picked the size, he adapted to location for each of us since I wanted on my left leg and my mom on her right. This was my mom's first tattoo. Jimmy did a great job easing her mind on process and was gentle. Each tattoo was completed in about a half an hour. Very satisfied with results and cost.

I went here earlier this year for my first tattoo and had such an amazing experience. I explained…read moreto Jimmy that I have a lot of scarring in my wrist area due to approximately 100 IVs I've received in that area over the last decade due to chronic illness and I also explained that I am neurodivergent and that I may need frequent breaks in order to process the sensation of the tattoo gun and he completely understood me and we made a plan of action. We ended up doing a pattern for the whole thing where he'd tattoo for 20 seconds and then stop for 10 seconds so I could process and then start tattooing again for 20 seconds and we repeated that until it was finished! This tattoo is super important to me as I'm a make a wish kid and my wish was to meet the band My Chemical Romance back in 2022 and for every show date of their tour they wrote something different on the drumhead and for the show I attended they wrote Bloom on the drumhead and I ended up taking it and tracing it so he would have a clear reference image to work from and we ended up listening to their music during the process which was a really nice distraction from the pain and anxiety that I had when it first started since I didn't know what to expect but Jimmy walked me through everything and was extremely patient with me through the whole thing and made sure to ask for my consent and permission before he started tattooing during every single break we took which was incredibly helpful for me and I will definitely be coming back in the future! Thank you for being incredibly patient with me and accommodating and making my first tattoo an amazing experience to commemorate the night I fought so hard for!

Peach and her stuff have created a positive, inclusive, and hygienic environment that makes everyone feel safe and welcome. I've had three tattoos done here - one by Peach (rainbow ballons), and two by Sierra (magic words, cat broom moon). All three came out beautiful. I was especially pleased with the detail Seirra did in the Cat on a broom looking at the moon tattoo. But both ladies have a very light touch and I had little to no pain both during and after the tattoo. My daughter also had her ear lobes pierced by Bridgette and it was super easy. Bridgette was patient and reassuring and Dani has had no problems with infection and very little pain. Thank you Crybaby!! I'll be back for more.
