Left a good review before but after a month of deliberation, I had to change it. -------------- When I sought out a refund for an item I never received, I had to argue on the phone with Mrs Regina and the man who runs the store for an hour. He was RUDE. So rude. Should not be answering the phone at all! He kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain the situation. If he would've let me talk for one minute, it would've saved an hour of arguing... They acted like I was trying to scam them! I was seeking a refund for a monogram on a shirt that I never got monogrammed. I told them I'd happily be charged for the shirt as I know their refund policy (even if I never wear it again)- just wanted a refund for the monogram. But It wasn't until the last 2 mins of the conversation that Regina said she was sorry and misplaced the receipt which said I never received said item. If my job requires that I get my uniform here in the future, I'd rather quit than go back. Horrible people that left me shaking and crying by the time they hung up. read more

After visiting four other uniform places for scrubs, I finally found what I needed here. The woman was so helpful in pointing me to the right scrubs to fit me. They carried brands that weren't too baggy on a person. The prices weren't bad either compared to other uniform places. I will definitely be returning for future scrubs! read more

Read the WHOLE REVIEW. I've updated it. Walked in desperate for help and...nobody even greeted me! I walked around for five minutes clearly trying to find help and NOTHING! I guess my money was not green enough! Taking my wallet and my kids elsewhere... HOWEVER, decided to give them another chance, ONLY because they are so close to my child's school. Because of a very bad encounter with the store owner , I avoid shopping here. The way in which we were treated was unconscionable. We left The store after the owner suggested that we could not afford to shop there! This occurred in 2012, and from what I have recently learned , the same " shaming "behaviors are still ongoing. I must add that this was not even my own child nor was I related to her. I was merely trying to help a friend who did not have time to shop for her grandchild's back to school clothing.. My goal was to try to purchase the plaid fabric and sew the skirt myself. This was unacceptable and apparently not within the realm of possibility in 2012. When I asked the owner if I could purchase the fabric, she told me that it was "very expensive" and implied that I could not afford it. Because of this experience, I learned to deconstruct or to take apart previously worn uniforms and up cycle or recycle them into "new" uniform skirts for plus size children. Contrary to the owners suggestion that I could not afford to purchase the fabric, or that it was very expensive; the truth is that I could have purchased an entire bolt of it if she had only allowed me the privilege. All fabrics have code numbers or letters indicating the price and other important features. I know this because I used to procure fabric for a local company. I was contacted by the yelp team to do a review of this particular shop. In my opinion, if you are not within the realm of what is considered " normal sizing, "it would be wise to shop elsewhere or online. Most people who have children in public and private schools in the Baton Rouge and Denham Springs areas need to ponder how they spend their money and with whom. Customers should not be judged on their appearance or size, regardless. At this particular store, though some of the workers try to be helpful, there is an air of snobbery here that I have not experienced in other stores. and I must say that it starts at the top. This is my experience ;and to treat any plus sized child size as a freak of nature is totally unacceptable. People of all sizes, shapes, colors and personalities enjoy shopping in stores that treat them with respect and dignity. Until and unless this business learns that humans come in all sizes and colors, and they have feelings, I believe that, regardless of their expansion, they will eventually lose customers to online markets. I am speaking as a consumer and as a seamstress... This is not a personal attack on anyone but I do hope that this review is taken seriously. No child should have to leave a uniform shop with tears streaming down their face. read more

Don't go here if u are a man....Horrible selection of scrubs for men. I give this place 3 stars only because they have a great selection of scrubs for women. They also carry school uniforms and it seems they cater more to that end of the business. I don't have kids but it looked like a good selection considering the store is large and they have half the store dedicated to school uniforms. If they would have had literally more than one small circular rack for men I would have given them 4 stars. read more

Virtually no men's medical scrubs selection. Just another typical sexist scrubs store in small town, backwards Baton Rouge. Would not have commented, but don't believe Inkas reply to Mandy V's review. It's no wonder most men just get there scrubs online. read more

I love how helpful the owner of the store was. She tried to help my daughter find the perfect fit, and when she wasn't available to find anything she altered a skirt to make it a perfect fit. I would give them 5 stars if the prices for school uniforms wasn't so high, but for the service and their "upscale" feature on their school uniforms I guess it is worth it. There is another approved provider for my daughter's school uniforms, and their uniforms are only a couple dollars less with no feature to expand the size as much as Inka's. I haven't seen any place other than Inka's that has the school uniforms set up to allow a child to move up in size so much, both in width and length. This is their "upscale" feature, and it is pretty easy to do, even with my limited sewing skills. Thanks to their "upscale' feature my daughter was able to move up about 2 1/2 sizes since the uniforms were bought about 3 years ago before we had to buy more. The owner was really nice in telling me how I might be able to alter the old jumpers even more to make them fit. I'll see if it works, but I bought more anyway because I know that even if I get them to fit now they won't fit all year. Oh, I didn't look at the nursing scrubs, but my husband is a nurse so he did. He didn't seem to have any problem finding just what he wanted in the men's scrubs, and he is super picky when it comes to scrubs. Before he is happy the scrubs have to be men's scrubs (not unisex), have a zipper fly on the pants, have lots of cargo pockets on the pants and the tops, have an elastic waist band on the pants, and have belt loops on the pants too or cinch tie at the waist on the pants if no belt loops, as well as be the specific color his employer has assigned. read more
