My wife got a large thigh piece today, and we think it is super well done. What follows is her comments on the actual process... Drew Collins has a very light touch with the tattoo gun, it barely hurt. Can't say it didn't hurt at all. If you've had a tattoo before, you will know that there is a measure of pain involved, but this was by far the lightest touch of a tattoo that I have had. The problem arose after we left - I was driving through Charlotte, trying to get to the airport. Someone from the studio called my cell phone saying that the tattoo artist who checked us out had made a mistake and had charged us for the tattoos but had not added the tip as I requested. I explained that I was driving in heavy traffic in an area I was unfamiliar with and I would call them back. Multiple phone calls/voicemails/emails and a letter (!!!!) later, they're threatening to take me to court .... for the TIP - that they made the mistake in not charging to my Visa card. I had every intention of calling them back to authorize an additional transaction to cover a tip but their uber-aggressive approach to the problem (which they totally created) has me in the "fine - you want to go to court?
