Yet, as a woman of faith I trusted that God would help me find a new tax preparer. . . After a two-week search, I am very thankful to have chosen Ms. Rebecca Barrett. I'm old school when it comes to my taxes so I appreciate tax preparers who are willing to meet face-to-face (especially the first time) to review my documentation (i.e. my prepared spreadsheets). I don't like the idea of sending my documentation to a business via email (even with a secured site) or dropping them off to an office. When it comes to business, money, and/or financial planning, I want to sit across from a seasoned professional and have a conversation. The new bookkeeper found over 100 transactions never reconciled and several accounts not reconciled. Stephanie refused to take any responsibilty, claimed the accounts not reconciled were not in her notes, despite them showing up in Quickbooks every month and her never reaching out to be to verify. I'm really unhappy with the service and hope we do not discover anything worse as I now have to pay for a complete review of my books. And she said that the IRE would fix it in their part. Got a 60 day review notice. I called my tax lady and she said to wait. Waited 3 months and i ended up calling an advocate and they said it was because of the form I had to amend them Called elizabeth and she amended and still charged me another $100. As what I know when you pay the first time to file it covers if the taxes are amended. We had to pay and she didn't even explain we had to send them out by mail and wait another 3 months. Like really. We pay you to do that. I do not recommend using trujillo tax service!
