So I waited til the last day to file an extension. I called up Pinnacle to see if they had time help me file the forms I need. Over the phone, I set the expectation that I'd be in an hour before they closed and the gals were friendly and reassuring that it would not be a problem to get my extensions filed. I walked in and was greeted by the gal in the front cubicle. She was polite and friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping me out while I waited for Karel. She asked me to sit in the waiting area, where I was greeted by a small pooch. I sat down and the dog jumped up on the waiting room furniture and proceeded to try to climb all over me and just be in my business. Karel quickly called me back to her cubicle, so I was relieved to not have to deal with the pooch. Unfortunately the pooch followed me back to the cubicle. In the cubicle, there is a chair and desk for an employee and 3 chairs for customers to sit on the other side of the desk. Not only did pooch number 1 sit in customer seating, but there was pooch number 2 already sitting in customer seating when I got there. I had to sit in the chair farthest away so the dogs could have their own chairs. -_- I sat down and both dogs started to climb up on me, I'm super uncomfortable by now and I literally haven't even been in the building for 5 min. My allergies were not pleased :( I'm all for office pups provided that they're properly trained not to jump and climb and get in customer's business, it's just unprofessional. Aside from this, Karel made me feel as if I was bothering her by trying to give her money for the services she offered. She was short with me, she was impatient with me, and she showed me that she was just so annoyed that I was burdening her with my presence. She would ask me a question, I wouldn't immediately know the answer and would have to look thru my files on my phone, it would take me a min to grab the info, and when I offered the info she angrily cut me off in a and told me that she didn't need what she asked for a minute earlier. Karel finished one form and told me she'd be sending me to someone else to finish the rest bc someone showed up for her that had an appointment, which was totally fine. (Expecially since this meant I could get away from that attitude and her pups) The gal that helped me with the other form, was the one in the front cubicle. She had a lot of questions to ask her Co worker and karel, so I'm thinking she was new, but she made me comfortable. read more

Karel was very rude and unprofessional. Dealing with her is a my way or no way type of interaction which she a right to, although may be conflicting for a customers interest. The vibes, the gestures, and word choice are all best described as EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. I would highly advise going elsewhere despite her price being fair. read more

I had purchased an electric vehicle in 2015, which required extra form(s) to receive the federal tax credit, and Karol was highly recommended by a coworker. I was told about her experience/knowledge. Karol convinced me buying an electric vehicle did not mean one receives $7,500, but it meant I would not be paying anything back (for example, if I had owed $5,000, then the $7,500 would cover what I owed... Crazy right?). I found it hard to believe, yet she was the professional; therefore, I felt stupid for buying an electric vehicle. I filed my 2016 tax returns with H&R Block because they were offering a free review of the 2015 tax return. They were shocked, as well as I was, when they found I was owed $7,500 in money for the electric vehicle I had purchased. They were surprised a mistake like this was created by a tax insurance agency. I wonder if they also thought I was stupid? I don't like to give 1 star reviews, but this is warranted. I could have lost $7,500 because of lack of experience and knowledge. The service itself was mediocre. Dogs were running around and even wanting to climb my leg. I felt rushed and she didn't even bother to research the tax credit incentive, which can be found online. I went in feeling excited to receive my huge tax credit, came out disappointed and feeling stupid. Now that I own a house, I'd rather pay extra to go to H&R and have my taxes done correctly, than to go to a place where they rush and overlook important paperwork.
