We felt well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was very good. We ordered the cheese platter to start and the weiner schnitzel and bratwurst for our mains. All the food was excellent. Make sure your order includes the triple cooked chips. The meal was also accompanied by a selection of complimentary artisenal breads. Finally, the drinks selection features locally sourced beers and vodkas. A good chance to sample the tastes of the island. Highly recommended

This is an excellent bed and breakfast in Shanklin. It is within easy walking distance of…read morerestaurants, the seaside, and bus service. The proprietors were very kind and knowledgeable about the area-the lounge has lots of up to date information about menus, walking routes, tourist attractions, etc. Also, they went out of their way to help us make our train and ferry on our last day. Advantages: -vegetarian full English breakfast -bus stop and restaurants around the corner -individual heat control in the room -very reasonable price -opens for the season earlier than many B&Bs in Shanklin

Its a great location with nearby restaurants and pubs. We ate food in the Steamer Inn which is pretty much next door and also went to the Fisherman's Cottage which is a 5 minute walk. Helen and Dave are excellent hosts. Super nice and friendly. Everyone who works for them were - that includes Lynn. Breakfast was really good with all the usual options. Fruit, granula, raisins, toast etc. And then the "main" breakfast with options including bacon, sausages, eggs, grilled tomatoes, black pudding. We were fortunate with the weather so was able to eat breakfast outside with the view of the beach/sea. Also, they have an adorable dog called Bert.
