I am leaving this review because: I went in to order a custom birthday cake as I ALWAYS DO! Yes, today it is snowing!! And it's not the end of the world. FYI!! I callled just to check on it, I know things happen BUT TODAY is the day I am supposed to pick up the cake and I have heard every excuse in the book from the lady that answers the phone, from what she's telling me I'm not going to be able to get my cake. Did nobody not think to call me and tell me? It may not seem like a big deal but it's a big deal to me because I always do custom birthday cakes, if nothing else for my family for their birthdays and a late cake is not cutting it.!! The store is clean. The bakery is consistently great. Excellent deals on meat during the week. Real cashiers if you prefer and baggers who always ask if I need help loading my groceries into my car. Pharmacy is very good and I love that they hire special needs folks. Don't forget the fuel points! Got 15 cents a gallon off today. read more

I've shopped Ingles in Cornelia for years. Mostly, in the past, pretty much satisfied. Yesterday, however, I had the two complete opposite ends of the satisfaction scale. First: The Deli....I stopped to get a slice of pizza for a snack while I shopped. There were at least six or seven men working in the food section, standing around, talking, and totally ignoring the fact that I was there. Finally, I called out and one of the men came over. There was one slice of pizza lying there. I asked him how long it had been out. He asked and then told me an hour. He asked if I wanted it. I said "No, I don't want a slice of pizza that has been lying out for an hour. Can I get a fresh slice?" He disappeared, leaving me standing there assuming he was getting a fresh slice. After a good deal of time, another man came up to the counter and I told him the young man was getting me a fresh slice of pizza. Everyone began looking around, found there was nothing being done, all the while I am standing there being ignored. I finally told the second man "Just forget it." and left. These men need some supervision. They certainly don't seem to be "self starters." Put someone in charge and get it done. Not sure I have ever felt so unwelcome in any retail situation. O.K. so much for the bad experience: When I got to the checkout, the woman who checked me out was the most delightful customer service oriented person I have encountered at a retail operation in......well EVER!! According to my receipt, she was GRACE. I complimented her and told her I wish Ingles could clone her. Her customer service and friendly demeanor could almost negate my really unsatisfactory experience at the deli......Thank you, Grace for all you do. You are a joy! read more

I could give it negative Stars I would . And Sorry for the book but this needs to be told correctly. I think this store must be under New Management please do yourself a favor and shop somewhere that has respect for disabled elderly people especially when they are having a medical issue. MY mother was suffering from a mild medical incident today while in the middle of shopping her blood sugar started falling and we needed to get her something to eat fairly quickly. she has a very strict diet so we had nice Young gentleman behind the Deli bar fix her a made to order veggie cheese wrap something quick she could eat and get her bearings back. All that was going normal and then the Bad customer service four times over begin. starting with the hunched over elderly gentleman behind the deli counter with eyebrows so long they need a hairnet yells! "So do you want a sandwich or what!?" At me and my mother even though we were obviously already being helped. Then The special needs salad bar attendant did not want to help us get the items from the olive bar we wanted and help us check out at the register located at the counter beside the deli then proceeded fussing at us stating "we want you to pay for your food before you eat it" at me because I am instructing my mother to sit down and eat before we paid for it. we had a buggy full of groceries. I informed her that my mother was having a health problem at the moment and that I would appreciate a little bit of understanding in this situation. I assured her that we were going to pay for the sandwich being that we had a full buggy of groceries were also going to purchase and that I appreciate her not making that big deal of it. I think that made it butt hurt because those type are very opinionated and do not handle rejection very well. So while I'm getting my mother leveled out and she's eating her wrap and drinking her .50 bottle water this sorry excuse of Assistant manager very heavy set black haired boy. obviously being directed by whatever that was attending the salad bar "having to use pronouns because of today's you know" thought that it would be a good idea to belittle me and my 71 year old mother like we were children. Made it a point to lean back and poke his big belly out to assert his assistant manager Authority very loudly in front of quite a few other people stating the Ingles rules trying to shame us for eating before we checked out. You would think if it was that big a deal to them they would have you pay them before they ever handed you the food. My two senior citizen parents 75 and 71 have eaten food like this at this store without ever an issue so much so we thought this was the norm. the people at the checkout even throwing away the empty containers after we have paid for it never once mentioning we should have paid first. they had the to come up to my elderly mother and give her a hard time over a $5 veggie wrap .50 bottle of watter. The thing that was attending the salad /olive bar didn't look like a very sanitary individual it had sores all over and it got very upset when I didn't respond to it's barked orders. When the grandiose belittling Behavior of the not so qualified assistant manager was brought to the store manager's attention he brushed It off not even caring how we were being talked to or being treated stating "everybody over there is able to run a register and that we should not have had a problem". like it's my fault he hires incompetent people. even though the thing that we asked to help us at the salad bar pointed and told us go over to the checkout very snippy like we were inconveniencing it. And as if he encouraged this kind of behavior the store manager was not at all apologetic at the service we had received. Some of the foods are really good, my boyfriend loves the apple turnovers, they mark their fresh baked goods down for faster sale which means less food waste & they have kava instant low acid coffee which other grocery stores don't carry- (for my elderly mom). Bird seed selection is great too. Also most Ingles, the bigger ones, have just about everything you need for your home such as air filters & light bulbs...no need to stop at home big box store if u r in a hurry or have lil ones with you. read more

Why oh why do I shop here? Because this is where I live and it's about the best they can do. Not just terrible customer service but NO customer service. It's a Monday night at 9:30, $200 worth of groceries, I'm clearly exhausted. And yet 4 employees visibly watch me bag all groceries then dare to say on my way out, "have a nice night." What the heck?! It would have been a nice night if YOU would have done your job and helped. If anyone in management sees this, call me! I'm in customer service. I'd love to help! I want you and your store to be successful. But your employees must want it too! They clearly could care less! read more

I am working not far, so I am coming once a week to get snacks. I do prefer Kroger for the price. Ingles is nice, employees are very nice, store is clean ! I like the Starbucks attached to the ingles so I can get my coffee on my way back. read more

Ingles Markets - the produce section of a grocery store - Grocery Near Me - Cornelia, Georgia

This Cornelia Ingles is in need to new workers in the Deli Meats section. Two weeks in a row the meet I asked for wasn't sliced properly instead it was massacred, in small bits and pieces not sliced into the Sandwich slices that I asked for. It also had quite a bit of what I call butt ends that were tough and not chewable at all, it was trashed because of that and was just added weight to my order which added needlessly to my cost. Ingles has also chosen to drop some name brand refrigerated juices and added brands I've never heard of and quite a few other items that I have regular purchased for years. Because of this I have now resorted to putting a cooler in my vehicle and driving 30 miles or so to Oakwood, GA to do my grocery shopping at Kroger or Publix. If I stop at all at this Ingles it's only for basics like bread, milk and egg. So Sad That Cornelia doesn't have a decent grocery store. Would have given 0 stars if it were an option. read more

I left my keys at Ingles in Cornelia, GA. I spent a good amount of time looking for them at home. Finally, after a day of searching, I decided to call them. I described them and yes, they had them. I love my Jeep, but keeping up with keys for a keyless entry/start up is a pain sometimes. My Jeep started because I had the spare key in my purse. But kudos to Ingles for saving them for this absent-minded shopper. Thanks again! read more
