All the out-of-staters with issues about parking... I have one sentence for them: redo your road test! This RaceTrac is large too, pumps aplenty and friendly staff. Some local guy even held the door open for about 12 peeps, all coming in in the morning. It was a small town, Southern-gentility type shop. Gas was cheap. Coffee was hot. Locals wore Clemson and UGA sports gear (they had manners) and the place was doing great business. If you are in Clayton - come here for gas. Rebel review: 5

In Georgia, I'm generally a fan of QuikTrip and RaceTrac. The gas stations are big, relatively clean, and have low fuel prices. I stopped by this RaceTrac and picked up a couple Vita Coco drinks ($2.50 each) for the road. I started drinking one of the boxes in the car and noticed it tasted funny and unpleasant. Upon further inspection, I saw the drink had expired months ago. Blech. They need to check the expiration dates on their inventory (and I need to check them before buying).

They had a nice strip of grass to walk around in, and ample room to pull in for gas. They had security cameras all over, and I later found that I had been closely scrutinized by the clerk inside smoking a cigarette. I was impressed at the prices of cigarettes here! I don't smoke, but they were so cheap it made me think about starting smoking! Har! When I visited, they had the parking lot full of Coke and beer trucks unloading palates of beverages. The gas was moderately priced. The store gave a sense of Georgian with it. I appreciated that.

I stopped by this BP gas station in Clayton, Georgia on the way back to Atlanta from Asheville…read more There are a handful of gas stations on the stretch of Highway 441 that runs through Clayton. This is just one of them. There's a RaceTrac too. This BP is clean, inside and out. The pumps are nice with multiple displays per pump. I used pump #7 and filled up on premium unleaded for $2.619 per gallon, which wasn't a bad price at the time. The convenience store is called Circle M and inside, I noticed the employees wore Clipper Petroleum shirts. Clipper operates the Circle M stores, which used to belong to ExxonMobil (http://clipperpetroleum.com/History). The employees were these sweet little old ladies. The lady who checked us out was named Thelma. We picked up some Slim Jims, Combos, Lance crackers, and an Honest Tea and Dasani bottled water for the road. The store was spacious, clean, and seemed to have a little bit of everything. It wasn't up to QuikTrip standards, but it was sufficient for what we needed. I'd stop here again.

They also carry fresh produce and home-canned products that are difficult to find. Gas is priced comparatively within the range of other stations. Highly recommend for the traveler who is possibly looking for something different for me it is my go to place for many different items. Really good place for local news in the morning hours when the coffee is the freshest. Always receive a warm welcome back and a friendly smile. This is one of Franklins best gas stations that would be comparable to stations of the past. This is a local family owned store that has deep roots in the community and we need to Support this business with our needs of gas, cigarettes, food products and the many other items in their store.
