It turned out he was a retired air traffic controller, which explained his calm and precise approach. What stood out to me was that I wasn't being pressured to buy anything right away. Unlike other golf stores I've been in, there was no rush, no push to get me to make a quick decision. I later learned that the staff at this store aren't on sales commissions, and that made a huge difference. It's a stark contrast to places where employees are incentivized to move product quickly. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the store where I'll be buying my next set of clubs. The associate even suggested I bring in my current clubs for comparison before making my final decision. The store is large and has everything one would need to buy for the game of golf. Also, the value of having a staff that is helpful, courteous is worth the price. Watch out, I'm about to improve my handicap with a new set and probably become much more competitive against those players scoring 80 and below who have been kicking my butt.
