Annette was very professional when I made the appointment for 2 days later as that was when the repair technician would be in our area. Mike Flynn came over and said that it needs a new keypad and he believes that Octane fitness (the maker of our elliptical) only sells the console containing the keypad as a single unit. I also gave Mike a copy of our original invoice since he said that it still may be covered under warranty. Annette called me a few days later with some good news; the console was covered under warranty for parts. They would order the part and when they knew it would be delivered call to set up an appointment. I asked Annette if she knew how much the console would be if it was not under warranty. I mentioned that this could wait until we set up the appointment. 15 minutes later she called back saying that it would be $930 for a new console. She also gave me the lowdown on warranties saying what the warranty was if purchased (I believe it was 1 year) vs replacing it under the warranty (the remainder of the original warranty) I found her to be very helpful in general as well as setting up the appointment to install the new part. Mike Flynn came over this morning to install the new part. Both times, I found him to be knowledgable, personable and professional. He obviously knows what he is doing. While their service is not cheap ($185 + tax for each visit) it was money well spent. Hopefully I won't need another repair to our elliptical but if I do or if someone needs a recommendation, I will recommend Top Notch Fitness.
