I have been a client of yours for three years now and have never been this dissatisfied with your office. The level of customer service I received from Mandy "General Manager" is the lowest and worst I have ever received from any place of business in my entire life. I have never in my entire life written an email to a business about the poor quality of service. However, I am in the customer service business and I feel you all should be aware of the treatment and service Mandy provides. On multiple occasions I have been given the run-around from Mandy. I asked to schedule an appointment with Mike which Mandy made very difficult for me with many back and forth emails. I explained to Lisa, who is extremely helpful and polite, that there has been substantial changes in my household from Home Refinance to my 18 Year old employed all of 2020 to company change for myself and that I would like to sit with Mike to examine and evaluate the best option. Lisa understands this however Mandy made it extremely difficult to schedule me a 30 min session. Today, I emailed Mandy to reschedule my Friday appointment to next week and again received the run-around and back and forth emails stating " We do not have any openings on either of those days. Your best bet is to drop your documents off and we can call you to discuss any questions you have" I had already dropped off all my documents last week to Lisa this way your office is prepared ahead of time. I do not know why she is instructing me to "drop my documents off again" When Mandy replied We do not have any openings on either of those days I responded "Let's then set it up for the following Thursday or Friday"  again Mandy replied "We do not have any openings on either of those days. Your Best bet is to drop your documents off and we can call you to discuss any questions you may have." How rude to reply back again with the same message. I finally decided I have had enough of this and called the office. I spoke with Lisa and asked to look in the calendar for an available Thursday and Friday and she quickly penciled me in for Friday. After I finished speaking to Lisa I asked to be transferred to Mandy to understand why I am receiving this type of treatment and service and why Lisa was able to quickly reschedule me. Mandy was extremely rude and defensive with me. She advised me TWICE to take my business elsewhere. I cannot believe my ears. I cannot believe a "General Manger" of a place of business would ever say this to a new client or an existing client ever. Mandy also had the audacity and guts to tell me I am busy and this call is taking long so she hung up on me mid sentence.  I am extremely disturbed by this entire experience with Mandy. The owner Mike doesn't seem to acknowledge or take responsibility of the way business is executed here. Mike responded in an email back stating I can go do business elsewhere. I'm am in shock. Everyone beware and take your business elsewhere.

I didn't have a clue what I was supposed to do regarding business taxes before I spoke to him, but once I did, I had a clear plan of action to take going forward. I'll definitely go back to Grace in the future for my finance and tax needs. Thanks Mike!

Steer clear of this company. Do not rely on any fixed price they quote you and move your business…read morethere. I used them for bookkeeping services not tax work, but their practices could be the same there. I fully explained the scope of the work they would be doing, showing them what the last bookkeepers had been doing. Their price was comparable to other quotes I had received and what I had been paying. After doing the bookkeeping for the agreed period with much grumbling, they wanted to DOUBLE the rate they quoted me, so I had to go through all the head ache of moving my business somewhere else. Also, at the end,the staff would say one thing about the billing and then, the billing department would bill me at their outrageous rates (for bookkeeping). Their work is not impressive either. For months the financials were late and filled with errors, employees paid out of the wrong company, many erroneous expenses that were not on the bank statement, etc. Ultimately after hours of my time finding the errors they fixed them. I guess they just thought I would roll over and pay them double what they quoted me and when I held them to their agreement for the specified time period, they just slapped the financials together. Altogether a terrible experience that hopefully others can avoid.

I was happy to find someone and headed over to her office. After we were finished doing the taxes she then goes to charge me and the quote is now $345. I was pretty surprised and kept it to myself because she did help me do some accounting so I paid her what she asked. This year I'm trying to do my taxes and make an appointment show up on time but I had forgotten some paper work. I told her I needed a little more time to get it she said it was fine but she wanted me to leave my paperwork so I did. Next thing you know I call her she's booked out until after the tax deadline and they can't help me now. I said fine I'll go somewhere else. I find an appointment immediately somewhere else and they tell me the same I'll charge you 180 for your taxes. So I call Linda trying to get my paper work and now she wants to hold it saying oh you had an appointment with me and you have to pay $60. They aren't doing a single thing for me but take my money. I would not recommend her to anyone. She barely tries and charges you like a doctor. Stay away from the tax doctors!

I have worked very closely with Aaron Lewis, now at Santa Cruz Staffing, for over 7 years now,…read morestarting when I was working at the Capitola Career Center and Aaron was a recruiter across the parking lot at Manpower. Our relationship continued through his time at Threshold, Bay Photo, Fox, and into Santa Cruz Staffing. His direct experience at different companies gives him insight into the unique nature of the Santa Cruz business community. If I were looking for a job myself, looking to hire someone, or trying to help someone get hired, Aaron would be my go to guy. He is very creative and easy to work with. Aaron has a talent for working with everyone ranging from someone looking for their first job, to someone who is in mid-career, or even someone going for that top level, executive position. I know of an instance recently where he was working with someone who was looking for their first job, was very shy, and had a hard time putting herself out there for interviews. Aaron coached her to build up her self confidence and land that first job very quickly. Jobseekers: Aaron will help you target your resume for a specific position or company, coach you on how to prepare for interviews, and how to present yourself as the very best candidate you can be. Employers: Aaron will help you find the right person for your opening. I've seen him solve some very challenging recruiting problems, finding just the right person for a unique position. Santa Cruz Staffing has always been my favorite agency in the Santa Cruz area (I can say that now; as a former government employee, we weren't supposed to show favoritism). Aaron is great, recruiting par excellence.

My experience with Santa Cruz Staffing has been nothing short of excellent. I quit my last job…read moreafter 6 years because I needed a change of pace and wanted to expand my skill set. I sent an initial inquiry email to them in early December, and I heard back to take proficiency tests and schedule an appointment with them on the 10th. My appointment was on the 17th where I got to know Ellen who gave me some invaluable advice, resume review, and a pep talk with the enthusiasm that I only wish I could have had for finding myself a job, let alone for someone else. On the 19th I heard that I had a phone interview for the 23rd. That went well and I started work on the 26th. I'm throwing all these dates out for a reason. From the time I initially made contact to the time I actually started a job was a mere 16 days. And I had a meeting with them within 7 to actually start the process. This was an INCREDIBLE turnaround time for someone who has been applying to jobs non-stop for the past 3 months with little to no word back from any. I got feedback on my resume and interview skills that have undoubtedly increased my chances at getting hired again in the future, whether through them or on my own. They are incredibly kind and supportive, and genuinely want to find work for you. A large number of the positions they get are temp-to-hire so you can go in with a relatively stable outlook, and if a job isn't working out for you or doesn't fit your skill set, they are happy to help you find something else that works better for you. They want to get you working, and have you be satisfied with it, and you can tell they care from the moment you walk in. I look forward to working with them more in the future if I should need other employment, and I cannot recommend them enough.
