Found this company on yelp and thrilled to find out that it belongs to the son of a family who's family owns and operates a fantastic little restraint called Seasons Harvest in Cypress! If you haven't been there, you are missing out on a lovely little peaceful eatery that feels like you are our in the country slowing down and enjoying life. Anyways, I was able to drop off the knives, eat a fantastic GLUTEN FREE lunch and go about my way. Was called the next day to let me know they were done, and I could come pick up at my leisure. Came back a few days later, stopped to eat breakfast and my knives were wrapped and waiting for me. Got home, unwrapped, cleaned and tried them out. They were perfect! Can't believe I waited so long to get these done. I also have a pizza cutter sharpened, who knew you could have this done? Yeah I know those aren't really expensive, but it's still cheaper to have them sharpened than to buy new. And I'm being a good steward but taking care of what I have and not adding to more junk. It was exactly what we were looking for design wise and a really good deal, but within a year, the particle board legs broke off one at a time and the top had bubbled up from water drops. Knowing that the table wasn't worth saving, but knowing I wanted something just like it, I resumed my search for a better quality table. During a random visit to a friends' house, I had the fortune of seeing one a Pioneer Wood and Steel piece and immediately asked friend where she purchased. She told me about Leer and Greg and gave me PW&S number. I am familiar with custom made works and the handcrafting that goes into creating a beautiful piece of furniture. Leer came to the house to look at the table, take measurements and give us a quote. At the time, he gave us his idea to replicate the table in real wood - and boy were we in for a surprise when we found out how much real wood cost! We literally tabled the idea, it took a while to wrap my head around paying that much for a piece of furniture. In the end, I knew it was the most favored piece of my husbands. So for our 10th anni, I secretly contacted Leer and told hubby the legs gave out and were being repaired. Little did he know that we were replicating the table in real walnut wood. It wasn't until I saw photos in progress that I realized that we hadn't just bought a table, but a functional piece of art. The love these guys put in to this table shows, and we are so happy with the result.
