We'll start off with saying that guests obviously pay attention to the dancefloor more than any other responsibility a DJ might have. We have had MANY conversations with our wedding guests where they bring up the DJ saying things like "oh yeah and the DJ was amazing!" or "How did he just keep playing great song after great song!?" so that is OBVIOUSLY what you want to hear about from your guests afterwards as one of their favorite things because the dance floor is a big part of the fun! All that being said, we knew we made the right decision when we were able to have multiple meetings with him leading up to our wedding. He did a great job in those meetings leading us in a way we were comfortable when we did not have all the answers for how we wanted our wedding day to go. It was clear he's done this hundreds of times, so he guided us through our decisions where we needed them on things we didn't even think about like what music to play during reception and dinner. On the day of the wedding, we were blown away. My wife and I just didn't realize leading up how big of a role the DJ may play in our wedding (outside of the dancefoor). David did a great job with all of his announcements for dances and speeches and of course for all the ceremony music as well. As for when it came to dancing from the bride and groom point of view: it was expected that he would get to all of the songs we listed as "must plays" but we obviously were not sure how he would mix around those. He absolutely killed it! He did an amazing job keeping people on the dance floor and playing other songs that people loved to hear that fit in with our provided set list! His packages were priced well, he has great equipment and was set up well in advance of when we needed him to start (and always brings an entire extra set up which was great for our peace of mind in case anything went wrong), he has a commanding voice that people pay attention to (helpful when you need people to sit down for dinner, etc.). He was friendly and easy to work with, and did a great job incorporating everything that we wanted into the reception (all our specific song requests, the timeline of the evening, etc.). Something unique about Farrell is that his speakers don't blast out your ears even when you're standing right in front of them, and they are designed in a way that the music is plenty loud when you're on the dance floor, but doesn't overpower the whole room (off of the dance floor you can still have a conversation in a normal voice). Not sure how his equipment does this, but it was a great perk. He did a great job noting what people were dancing to/not dancing to, and playing more of the types of music that people got up and danced for. He moved the evening along very well. We were looking for a fun, talented DJ who wasn't going to press play on a playlist, but actually entertain our guests with his skills. I knew DJ Bedz through social media and his resume blows any other DJs out of the water. He had the reputation of being the top Colorado DJ and I knew I had to book him! DJ Bedz along with the company he books through was quick to respond to all of my emails which eased my crazy bride mode. They also sent out their questionnaire with songs and details of the wedding 60 days before. I didn't realize how much I appreciated this until I saw that other vendors were sending me questionnaires 2 weeks before. At the end I was completely overwhelmed, and it made me realize how amazing the DJ was to have reached out to me so far in advance where I had time to complete the forms. I was hesitant having a Denver DJ travel up to Aspen in fear that they may be late or get stuck on 70. They assured me that there wouldn't be any issues and Cassidy even reached out to me to say he was leaving early to make sure he arrived in Aspen early. He even let us go behind the DJ booth and scratch which was a hit with the guests.
