Aaron was so nice, friendly, organized, and extremely professional. The playlist planning process was easy and efficient with Aaron. He was accessible and very accommodating. He even offered some great song recommendations which I readily used. Our wedding was in the Philadelphia area so Aaron flew down the night before the wedding just to make sure everything would go off without a hitch. Once the wedding planning began, my fiancé was adamant, NO DJ. He assumed all DJ's were uber cheesy, and yes some are. He had visions of my Bat Mitzvah, with the DJ passing out glow sticks and fake moustaches forcing guests to participate in ridiculous games, while playing The Village People. Post wedding, and as a reviewer...what happened next is the most valuable piece of information if any couple is researching DJ's. Within the first hour of our reception, we had a family emergency-accident. Ambulances came and I'm convinced our wedding planner debated having a drink and quitting. Rockstar Aaron Dj'd our Wedding/Queer Celebration of Love back in 2011, and he was beyond fabulous. Not only was his aesthetic absolutely perfect (rainbow mohawk plus a tuxedo), but he played a great mix of music, listening to our preferences (lots of 80s, MJ, and some 60s/70s for my soon to be mother-in-law) and making sure the songs we hated (chicken dance and country) didn't get played, despite any potential requests. He played all of our specifics (including during the ceremony, for walking down the aisle and back, the bouquet toss, the garter toss, memorial songs for family members, etc) and he even found a way to play a version of a song we'd only ever seen on the internet before. I was planning my wedding from out of state so it's hard to know who to trust when you don't get to meet someone face to face. I called and talked to about 5 different DJs for my wedding. Aaron was, by far, the best when it came to quick response time, and providing clear and knowledgeable answers. Many of the other DJs were slow to respond and provided incomplete answers to my questions. In addition, Aaron was also the most personable on the phone. Easy going nature and really willing to work with me on what I wanted to do for my wedding. It was an easy choice. But as they say, the proof is in the pudding, so I wasn't 100% sold until the wedding day. Aaron DJ'd our cocktail hour and reception. He and I worked out some details on the timeline of the event, playing a video, specific kinds of salsa music, and even throwing in some last minute polkas. With each curve ball I threw him, he responded with a positive, "i can do it" attitude! At the reception, he rocked it out! The dance floor was FULL for 2 hours straight and only died down a bit because it was too hot in the room! My only critiques were that Aaron's voice is quiet and it was sometimes hard to hear him when announcing things. The other small thing was probably more my fault for having such diverse requests of music, but I felt like a few music genres were left the list. Last suggestion I'd have for Aaron is to play a few more slow songs. Those are minor critiques because overall, the music was fantastic and working with Aaron was a true pleasure. To all who may be considering DJ Rockstar Aaron...... He is a MUST have for your wedding or event!!!!!! DJ Rockstar Aaron was by far the BEST vendor we had at our wedding. Not only did he get to us in Longmont, in the middle of all the flooding, but he was AMAZING!!!! He reassured me during many of my frantic calls that if there was a road he would be there for us. He was so kind and professional throughout the whole experience. During our wedding we also had several changes, like doing the garter and bouquet toss. DJ Rockstar Aaron not only played great songs during the changes but also gave me some very helpful suggestions on where to do them. I am typically not much of a dancer, but DJ Rockstar Aaron had majority of my guests & I on the dance floor all night long. I had countless people compliment him at my wedding on his talent, professionalism, personality, and so much more. My mother even wanted to follow him to his next club gig, which took place in Boulder directly following our wedding. I'll admit I was a little taken back with his bold look, but hiring him was one of the very best decisions I made for our wedding. He brought an element of unique fun that seemed to capture the evening. Additionally, I had multiple people come up to me and ask me how I even booked him, apparently he is a well-known club DJ in this area as well as Vegas.
