He said no problem, he would cut it out just to be sure. I asked him about the cost and he asked me if I had given my insurance information to the front desk, which I had. He checked with the receptionist, came back, and told me that there would be no charge and that it was all covered under my insurance policy. I then mentioned that I had two other spots on my skin and asked his opinion whether those should be removed as well. He said, "since there's no cost, I don't see any reason not to have them removed". He then said, "I will need to send all the samples to the lab to have them tested by a pathologist to make sure they are not malignant. That way we can classify the procedure as a necessary procedure rather than just a cosmetic procedure to make sure it's all covered." I agreed with him and the entire process took less than 30 min. And then 6 MONTHS later I get an invoice for $1,060!! I ignored the first invoice because I had been told there would be "no out of pocket expenses". A month after that my account was sent to a collection company. After calling the dermatologist office multiple times, they're only solution was that they could give me a cash discount. Of course the doctor would not speak to me, and when I asked the billing department why the doctor had lied to me, their response was "insurance didn't cover it." Does it make logical sense that I would order multiple procedures without having any idea of the cost? Does it make sense that I would add additional procedures on top of the initial visit without know that there would be a cost or what that cost would be? Of course not, a logical person doesn't request a bunch of non-life threatening medical procedures without first knowing the cost. Mr. Bohyer handled the situation unprofessionally. Mr. Bohyer does not have integrity. I'm going to go ahead and pay my fees and move on with my life. But my fear is, how many other people has Mr. Boyher done this too? Is this the un-written office policy, to lie about what the patient will be charged and then bill them 6 months later? I wonder how many other people Mr. Boyher has taken advantage of. The general public typically holds the medical profession in high regard, but you have tainted that image. Shame on you sir, shame on you.

From what I have experienced, Doctor Hector knew what he was doing! As well as the receptionist Sharla was very welcoming and helpful. I would 100% recommend them and the prices are very affordable!!! You get half of the price of what other "technician" would charge as to going to Doctor Hector, he is a board certified physician. Thank you guys again!! Will be coming back again for the rest of the treatment.

I have long wished to have the lower stomach tattoo removed and finally got the courage up to visit Laser and Light Surgery Center and do just that! I love that their website had a lot of information about the removal process. I also enjoyed that the price was listed as well as what to expect during and after the procedure. On the day of, I entered the office and was nervous. The receptionist that greeted me was really nice. It was only a short wait until I saw the gentleman that performs the procedure. He confirmed the price that their website states, a tattoo like mine would cost $100 per treatment and may take 7 or 8 treatments. He was very patient with me as I was hesitant to let the laser touch me but wanted the procedure. He used 2 lasers on me, one for colored ink and one for black ink. I had heard that the procedure was way more painful than getting a tattoo however I found it to be less so. Three weeks after my first treatment and my tattoo is already much lighter than it was. I am quite happy with my experience!

While this practice seems to know dermatology, I can say from my all too brief experience with them recently that the bedside manner at this practice has much to be desired. I didn't have to wait very long in the waiting room before I went in to see the doctor, but as soon as he came in and looked me over, I just seemed to be rushed out of there. I was trying to ask some questions that I had written down because it had been awhile since I had seen a dermatologist. Unfortunately I just felt like there was really no interest to hear me or spend any more time with me. I can't stand being treated like livestock moving through chute. From my past experiences in seeing a new doctor for the first time, it's basically customary that they really should take a little extra time with you to get to know you and develop some kind of a doctor/patient relationship. That's not the case with this practice apparently. Get in and get out immediately like it's a jewel heist or the building is on fire. It's quite unprofessional as well as annoying and disrespectful.
