However many you buy, you will wish it was more. Get as many as you can afford. This is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Makes a great gift. Positives? Good cars with more capability than you will be able to use. These are actual retired race cars, mostly late model short track cars. Great instructors and staff. Radio communications in your ear while on the track. Passing allowed. You can really hang it out. Even if you're driving, get the ride along first, so you know how fast the cars are capable of going. Otherwise you'll waste laps getting up to speed. Drawbacks? They are usually running behind schedule. The personal equipment, firesuits, helmets, etc. are well used. If you have your own that meet the specs, bring them. By the time they are done explaining the damage policy everyone is spooked about damaging the cars. Get the damage insurance (upsell) and go for it. They will temp you with lots of upsells; videos, photos, insurance, extra laps. Conclusion? I highly recommend this company. I've been involved in short track oval racing for 50 years, and this is as close as most people will ever get to actually racing. It had been 20 years since I had driven a race car, and I was instantly back in those days.

I believe the paperwork mentioned that they may be off schedule a bit and to allow an hour or so. That wasn't the case here. After being there for a couple of hours, we were informed that there was a gas leak earlier in the day that affected something and that something else happened. Because of that, they had one car instead of two and they were way behind schedule. They also had to reschedule people from the previous day because of rain, so I'm sure that was a part of it. Anyway, they offered us an extra lap around the track for having to wait so long. The two guys who worked in the ride along area and the driver of the car were all very nice. The ride was exhilarating. The driver would mostly ride along the outside of the track, only moving in a bit on the turns. I was slightly terrified because we were so close to the wall, but it was a blast. It goes by really quickly. Would I do this again? Maybe on a better day when I don't mind standing outside for a while. It was a cold and windy day.

We were here for the first day of qualification, unfortunately it got rained out, but we still had a lot of fun. I've built, tuned, crewed on, and driven everything from street stock jalopies to late model stock cars, to supermodifieds and sprint cars. I've watched or driven close to 500,000 laps at various venues around the country, from 1/4 mile ovals to super speedways. IMS is perhaps the poorest place I've ever been to try to watch a race. I attended both the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400 there last year. Whoever decided to build a 3 story grandstand on the INSIDE of the front straightaway and a museum in the infield was an idiot. There is not a seat in the house that can see more than about 1/4th of the track. What I mean is, at 220 mph a lap takes about 40 seconds. So every 40 seconds you get to see the cars go by for about 7-10 seconds at speeds so fast that you can't even read the numbers on them. If you are a race fan you'll be disappointed. If you're there primarily for the party, and the hip hop DJ blasting away in the infield you might have fun. I didn't. I would rather have paid to watch paint dry in a sauna. I live 4 miles from IMS. It took 4 hours to get home after the Indy 500. I paid for preferred parking and ended up a mile from the track. For the 500, the concession stands ran out of food at about 2 pm, or about halfway through the race. I'm not spending money to go to this venue in the foreseeable future.

From the moment we walked in, the energy was high--bright, clean, and full of excitement. The karts are fast, smooth, and really well-maintained. You can tell they put a lot of effort into safety as well as fun. The staff goes over everything clearly before you start, so even first-timers feel comfortable and confident. Once you're out on the track, though, it's pure adrenaline! The layout is great, with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting without being overwhelming. For families, this is a fantastic activity. Our kids had a blast, and it was so fun to see everyone laughing and getting into the competition. That said, it can get a little pricey if you're bringing a big group, but the experience is unique enough that it feels worth it for a special outing. What I really appreciate is the professionalism of the staff. They're friendly, patient, and keep things running smoothly even when the place is busy. The facility itself is clean, modern, and has more to offer than just karting--they've got other activities, food, and areas to hang out, which makes it easy to spend a whole afternoon here. Overall, Speedway Indoor Karting is a must-do if you're looking for something exciting and different. Whether you're a racing enthusiast or just want a fun activity for the family, you'll leave with big smiles and great memories. Highly recommend!

So I'm assuming they're not new, which I would prefer or I would bring my own lol.

I first contacted you early in the year and explained that Joe has significant special needs and asked if you could accommodate him to do the ride. Everyone there and at the track went out of their way to make this a day that this wonderful 9 year-old will never forget. The crew at the track went above and beyond to assure that his ride was fun while at the same time making sure that he would be safe. They never once lost patience or gave the impression that they were upset with the situation. In fact one of the staff said to my son-in-law, "don't worry, we will make this happen"....and they did. I hope that you will check out the pictures that we've posted on your Facebook page of Joe in his wheelchair with your driver and other pictures. I also want to commend the driver. He was great with Joe and so very nice to our family. I'm sure he felt extra pressure driving a child with Joe's issues. We can't thank you enough for what you did for Joe. This is a wonderful boy who spends a lot of time with doctors, in the hospital. This was such a special treat for him. I hope that someone there will let Rusty Wallace know that you are doing his name justice and that he can be very proud of the work done in his name. Again, thank you so very much for making ours and most importantly Joe's day. You are a very special group of people. All the Best, Paula French Indianapolis IN

The whole town participates in the race frenzy by sprucing up their yards and decorating their houses and driveways. Then take a relaxing stroll down Mainstreet, which by now has developed into a Mecca of restaurants, bars and even breweries. Or stop by for some indoor go karting or sign up to drive around in a luxury vehicle. But Speedway extends far beyond this area. This was my first time here, and has been rather a dream to come check out. LUCKILY i have some extended family that lives not far from the track. I only purchased tickets for the finals day because i didn't want to make a job out of coming for a whole week. I ended up going with the Top Eliminator Club tickets, which have a stout price, but it comes with some actual nice perks! There is a separate building you can go chill at with tons of seating and tv's everywhere to keep an eye on the action. It is an all-day event, so being able to go relax somewhere a little less loud and sit with your food is pretty nice. Outside there are tents that had I think 10 different types of drinks available free for TEC and you get breakfast in the morning which was fruit and sugary treats and then for lunch you get (1) run thru the lunch line so load up! (the wrist band has a thing they cut off) The food was pretty dang good! i figured after being in those big steamer trays for awhile all the flavor would have evaporated. It was well worth the extra cost and my wife who does not follow racing at all enjoyed the whole experience. The whole body rumble from the nitro funny cars was intense to say the least so the TEC building is a pretty cool thing to retreat to. I can't wait to do this again!

We always enjoy seeing the Pro Stocks, Funny Cars, Mototcycles, Alcohol Dragsters and Top Fuel Dragsters on the well maintained track. In 2008, NHRA shorten the distance of the Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster car races to 1,000 feet from the standard quarter-mile for safety reasons. Acres of parking including ADA parking along with camping is available. There really isn't a bad seat in the stands but I always recommend purchasing reserved seating in the grandstands. I prefer to sit in section BB and fairly high up. Yes, you'll smell like nitro but hopefully the wind is blowing the smoke away from your seat. Oh, and earplugs or ear protectors are highly recommended as the cars are LOUD! Rain delayed the 2022 festivities on Saturday when we were there but after the track was dry, around 2:00, it was back-to-back racing the remainder of the day. Shortly after announcements started a sky driver floated down carrying a briefcase with $80,000 prize money for the Pep Boys NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout Speciality Race with Steve Torrence winning the prize money. The other exciting run on Saturday was Justin Ashley in a Top Fuel Dragster who broke the track record with 335.032 but Brittany Force broke Ashley's new record on Sunday with 337.75.
