The gentleman who helped us, looked at the part and went back to the stockroom to see if he could find one. And when he could not, he instead removed that same part from the floor display of one of his own water softeners. He said he would then just contact the manufacturer and get a replacement for himself later. But he made sure that we were taken care of. And the price was a whopping $3.62. In addition, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. This was my first time shopping at Economy Plumbing Supply today, and I am so grateful for this experience, that I'm going out of my way to make sure that I say thank you, and also give a heartfelt recommendation to them. In addition, I'd also like to thank the very nice woman who offered us coffee and donuts while we were there! Initially, my contact with the representative Todd Lipking was great and the communication was quick and responsive. Upon signing a Letter of Engagement and giving a deposit, stories changed, communication became spotty at best, and multiple dates of promise for scope of work and contracts being provided were broken. The date promised in the Letter of Engagement was broken by the company by almost 2.5 weeks or 11 business days. Multiple attempts at communication were not returned and finally was reached out to after being 'forgotten about.' The reviews and pictures of the work on Google do look good, and hopefully this is a one off for the company, but I would highly advise caution in dealing with a company that practices business like this especially when projects are of the magnitude and cost they are for custom built-ins and the like.

I spoke with a woman and she found my original email and asked if they could have a chance to review it and call me back. I said no problem, it is now May 15th (a couple of weeks since I spoke with her) and I still have not heard back from them. I am not in a hurry for this project and if they were short staffed I wouldn't have minded waiting until they had availability, but I don't understand the total lack of response.

Miguel is a really nice guy, but continued to lie multiple times to me. My cabinet was cut…read moreincorrect for my farm sink. It is $800 to replace, or $700 to replace the front. He wanted to fill in the bad cut area with shims, caulk then cover it with paint. NO WAY!!! These are all new cabinets. He didn't offer to replace it either. This is when the excuses started coming. I bought quartzite which is even more expensive than the quartz. It was cut wrong for the sink. The next piece looks like a total different stone slab as he didn't even make an effort to try and match the veining. Some areas the counter top hangs over the cabinet from 1 inch to as much as 2 inches of difference. My range will not fit it's opening because of the bad cuts. He tried to blame it on the plug. The range was in place with the plug prior to the counter going in. I am also supposed to have the same stone as my back plash and to continue all the way up the wall behind the hood vent. He was higher in price than the original company I was going to use but he promised a faster delivery as I was desperate to finish my kitchen. Promised completion date was to before the 4th of July. As of today 9/21/2026 progress has stopped. I GIVE UP!!! YOU MAY FEEL LIKE YOU WON MIGUEL, BUT IT IS NOT OVER TILL I SEE YOU IN COURT. I'm at a total loss!!!! I have to go pick another stone with another company. Maybe I will have a kitchen before xmas 2026!! I would feel terrible if I treated my client this way. He said his insurance only covers liability meaning if he drops the stone and if it breaks. It does not cover workmanship, this was his 1st story. I went and talked to my attorney and I asked Miguel for the insurance info. He became VERY MAD and said he didn't have to give it to me. He finally yells and said he is with ALL STATE. I then ask for his policy number and the answer was extremely aggressive that he would not give it to me. As the heated conversating continued he finally told me he does not have insurance!!!!!! NO FLIPPING INSURANCE!!!! Between buying a new cabinet, and now a new counter I will be out another $10K. If your contractor recommends MIGUEL make sure he has made his insurance payment. I would ask for the policy and call yourself to confirm the policy is in force!!!!! He has no coverage and I am screwed!!!! I know I'm not the only one with a problem that he is dodging. He calls right back when making his BS promises and hustling you for the money, he then becomes a ghost when he is coming back to complete the job! I told him I want my money back , LOLOLOL I'll be taking that money due note to my grave! Best advice I can give is RUN RUN RUN!!!!! I Sure hope hard working people that have saved their money to finally have a nice kitchen read this before making the mistake a made. I just can't believe this happened!
