After many bad reports from a nearby aquatic center that I was planning on attending, I had to…read morecancel my reservation there and find another spot for my monthly group trip. I ended up here and they were able to accommodate us at the last minute without any issues. The staff, from top to bottom, was amazing, very friendly and helpful. To the left of the Center, right off of the front parking lot is a picnic area with picnic tables and a very small plastic play structure. The Center has a huge parking lot that is more than capable of handling its visitors. Entering here is a bit different. Women enter through the left and men enter to the right. They both go through large changing rooms for their respective gender that feeds to the pool area. They have other family changing rooms available near snack bar and the splash zone. They also have a rack with life jackets on it that non-swimmers can use. You can also use your own puddle jumpers, but the little arm floaties are a no-go. You can not use flotation when going down the slide or on the diving board. The Center features a large Olympic sized pool that goes from 3.5 feet to about 5 feet. They also have a large spiral slide and a basketball rim. Just off of the large pool is a 12-foot deep pool that has a low and high diving board. My little loved the Splash Zone area, which is like a decent sized wading pool with a lot of water splashing and a large bucket that periodically pours down. Unlike the other pool area, the water here is heated. Both areas have low chairs that run along the pools and chaise lounge chairs around the area's perimeter and many of those chairs are under huge umbrellas that provide a lot of shade. You have to get their early or just be lucky to get one of those chairs in the shade. I saw people claiming theirs (and a bunch of other's) chairs as soon as the place opened, with any towel or article of clothing they had available. The Center has a very nice snack bar with some reasonably priced food items. There are a few picnic tables over there to eat or you can just take it back to your seat in the pool area, if you have one. The snack bar has pickles, candy, hot dogs, pizza, pop sickles, bread sticks, pretzels, slushies and much more. And like I said, at very reasonable prices. They have a double pop-up tent by the snack bar, with tables and chairs under it, that they use to host parties. It is not a very big area. If you are big balling, you can rent out the Center after hours. If you are looking to save some money, like me, you can buy a punch card, which has 10 punches and averages out to about $4.50 per punch versus $5. My little and her friends really, really liked this place and had so much fun. I do not mind driving out to Franklin to visit this place. It is more than worth the price of admission. I highly recommend checking this place out and look forward to coming back here soon.

Very clean place, and if you have kiddos they provide a free swim diaper + life jackets! There is an AMAZING kiddie swim area that's separate from the main pool, great for families with little kids! There is a concessions stand that is slightly overpriced but still satisfactory. They have two diving boards and a huge water slide, and the main pool itself spans from about 3 feet to about 6 feet deep. Perfect for all ages. I only give it 4 stars because today they did not play nearly as much country music as I would like on the speakers (LOL), And they don't really have enough space or chairs to accommodate for the amount of people who visit there. Also concessions is overpriced! Overall a fun place to spend the afternoon and it's 50x better than freedom springs!

This is a fantastic, family-friendly pool…read more I signed up my girls for swimming lessons here at the beginning of the season. The classes are led by lifeguards, who all seem quite kind, but my little ones really love their swim coach, Holly. They've done extremely well under her instruction, moving from level 1 up to level 3 within a month. We've since had a handful of pool days here and really enjoyed everything this pool has to offer. The lifeguards are all highly attentive, especially in the diving well and slide areas. Parents are allowed to take their little ones down the large slide with them, and that has provided a lot of fun for my toddler grandchildren when they join us for a pool day. There are a lot of lounge chairs surrounding the pool, so you're sure to get a seat. Getting to the pool early in the day ensures you get a prime spot. I like to sit between the 2 pools so I can keep an eye on all my kids when I'm not in the pool with them. I also have a good view of my girls on the diving boards and water slides. There are so many amenities here. A nice sized baby pool, 2 shaded picnic areas, and a shaded play area full of Little Tike type houses and equipment next to the baby pool. There's the large pool, but then another pool that's perfect for families with both infants, toddlers, and smaller children who aren't quite ready for the big pool but also have outgrown the baby pool. 3 waterslides, a diving board, and a splash pad. The snack bar is reasonably priced, and the food is decent. Mooresville Family Aquatic Center has become our absolute favorite place to have pool days. The swim lessons have really boosted their abilities and confidence, and they are quite proud to finally be able to ride the water slides and jump off the diving board like big kids.

This very historical pool is still gorgeous and the fact they want to tear it down is unsettling. I have just never heard of putting a lazy river in front of a real river, but that's just me. Every time I go here I see somebody I know and it is such a great neighborhood area. It definitely is the best pool in town. The bathrooms need work as well as the concrete area but there's plenty of handicap parking and there is a dog park there as well. There's a nice walk along the river and many many playground activities available. They even have a soccer or rugby area as well as a tennis court. This truly is a jam in the city with White River and all its glory.

I have mixed feelings about this park. It is a 62 acre park, with 10 of it being woods. The park…read morewas originally a farm that dates back to 1882. It was then converted to an amusement park, the White City Amusement Park, in 1906. The park was opened in 1922 and still maintained some of the amusement park rides. The park has an outdoor pool that is in need of some intensive TLC. It is very raggedy. There are two picnic shelters, one of which is huge. They both have picnic tables under them and grills just outside of them. They have 2 sets of 3 tennis courts complete with benches and are awesome. They are well maintained and one of the park's better amenities. The baseball and multi-use field, not so much. The baseball field has an old backstop and the grounds need some maintenance and landscaping. The field had one goal that was not set up out there. The field was hard and had a lot of divots, aka ankle breakers. There is a nice dog park at the front of the park. It was packed with large dogs. There is a lot of obstacles and grass for the dogs and a shaded place for their owners to sit while the dogs run around. The park is located just off of the White River and has a public boat ramp to launch your watercraft. The ramp is very long and steep. There is also a nice wood viewing platform that overlooks the River. The park has a playground area is lined with wood chips and has 2 jungle gyms with slides and monkey bars. One of the jungle gyms is accesible. There is a set of traditional swings and a set of ADA/toddler swings. The equipment is old and the playground area is far from exciting. There are benches around the playground area to sit and watch the kiddos. There is an area called the Picnic Knoll that is located right outside of the playground area. It is where you will find a bunch of picnic tables placed in the forest. The final amenities I will discuss is the parks neglected walking/jogging/running/bicycling and fitness path. Many of the fitness path signs are damaged and/or unreadable. The trail is mostly a dirt path and dog walking is welcomed. The park has a decent sized parking lot, but a lot of it is being taking up by construction material and equipment. I believe they are currently building a new family center. That is a step in the right direction, because much of this park seems neglected. I was unsure if, outside of the dog park, if it was being maintained. This is a decent conventional nature park, that with a few upgrades and some TLC, could really be awesome. I know the are working to improve the park and cannot wait to see what Fun fact: The park's pool hosted the 1924 and 1952 Olympic swimming tryouts as the Broad Ripple Amusement Park
