ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!During the cold snap last week, with temps in the teens, I lost my…read moreheat. Called my usual HVAC contractor who found that the issue was not my heating system but my electrical panel/breaker box that he discovered was billowing smoke. So, had to get an electrician. A Family member recommended Kinder Electric but unbeknownst to me they were now part of Mister Quik. Some guy named Christen did the initial assessment and we determined that the box would need to be replaced/upgraded after noting several melted components. His initial estimate was about $7500. I had no idea whatsoever what replacing an electrical panel would cost with materials and labor...kind of took his word on it and agreed to the work. He said a few technicians would be at my house in a little bit to start on it. After he left I thought about maybe getting some other estimates so tried to cancel when they immediately took 10% off the initial price. Now it was $6740. I thought fine, I'm freezing my ass off and was dealing with work issues. Just wanted it replaced. Incredibly STUPID on my part. My neighbor who is a Union electrician x 50yrs and a project manager for Ermco told me I got royally screwed. He gave me an example of what parts/materials and 10hrs of labor with a union electrician along with a 25% markup would cost for the same electrical panel...the MAXIMUM, according to him, would be $2700. Doing other research I found most replacements to be in the $1200-$2000 range. This panel is on the far wall of my garage. There was no major rewiring or anything like that. The technician was done in about 4 hours (was just one guy). I got no itemized bill showing the broken down cost of materials and labor. Just one blanket price for the whole job including a $638 fee for a permit (???) So, I was basically overcharged more than $4000 for something that could've been done much, much cheaper had I only checked around. I'll be contacting the BBB and the Indiana Attorney General so they are aware of Mister Quik's shady business practices

I can't speak to the cost, as this was covered by the builder. My home inspections showed no major defects, and the two issues I did have were remedied quickly. The electricians arrived timely, were courteous and fixed my problem items in no time. I'd not hesitate to use them again.

They asked if there was anything else I needed and as a matter of fact there was. They replaced two outdoor lights for us and threw away all the packing material. We needed to have an outlet for an ev charger installed in our garage. When I called to make the appointment, the woman I spoke with said, "We've done just tons of these lately," which made me hopeful that they could help us navigate decisions regarding car charging stations for our garage. The estimator came out and gruffly said he had no experience nor advice about car chargers, had never estimated one before. He looked at the breaker box, pronounced the sub-panel more than sufficient (as I'd already said when making the appointment) and left, sending an estimate for north of $900 to install the outlet. As a consequence of his inexperience, we turned to Dr. Google and ordered a plug-in charger to work with the outlet specified in the estimate. When the electrician arrived, he was gruff and smelly. He said, "Well, where is it?" When we asked what he wanted, he said, "The car charger." It hadn't arrived yet, but I pointed out that the estimate was for a 240 volt outlet. "Nobody told me," he said, then asked to look at the breaker box. After informing me that he'd have to remove a significant chunk of drywall to make the installation, he left to go get parts and was gone for 45 minutes. When he returned, he said he could thread the wires through the hole for the outlet and wouldn't have to destroy our drywall after all. He completed the work (once present and equipped) in under 30 minutes. In retrospect, I wish we'd post-poned the visit until the equipment arrived and hard-wired it, and I fail to understand why this small job cost nearly one thousand dollars when it came without any information or assistance in making decisions around this technology. Or, if that price is in line, why the two Burtner employees we interacted with could not be pleasant nor knowledgeable. I've told two friends about this, and both recommended electricians who would have been more timely, friendly, and less expensive. And both said, "Sorry to hear that. Burtner used to be a good business."

Fortunately, Mr. Quik could get someone out to check it out in just an hour or so. The technician was so kind and was joking with my partner the whole time as he worked on figuring out the issue. The technician, Art, was able to figure out the problem and fix it while also giving us some tips for our A/C upkeep that'll help to maintain our system and hopefully make it last a bit longer. When that day comes that we eventually need a new system, I'll be sure to give Mr. Quik a call!

First off the sized our furnace too big for our home. They sold us a unit to cool and heat 3000sq feet, and our home is half that size. September was when I started ill with headaches and respiratory issues. I needed a lung biopsy. Biopsy showed no bacterial of fungal infection. Doctor said it was air contaminates causing my breathing problems. That was October. Christmas rolls around and I'm still ill. April we call someone to look at our water heater he informed me their is a gas leak in the basement coming from he HVAC system. I called Mister Quick immediately, Nick informed me that when the HVAC system was installed it was installed improperly. It was leaking gas in 4 different locations from the gas pipe to the furnace. He spent 3 hours repairing the installers mess ups. I immediately started feeling better. The facial swelling and headache went away. 9 days free from a gas leak in my home and I'm feeling much better. My husband said our home could have blown up and that's also what the gas company told me when I reported Mister Quick. I live in Brown County and from now on when we get anything new added to our home we are going with a local company that has our best interest in mind.
