When the Arts Council was selecting artists and murals to participate in the Superbowl preparation "46 for XLVI" mural project, it seemed fitting to include a mural about the history of the Indianapolis Colts. Artist Michael Kirby was selected in 2011 to paint this mural across Missouri Street from Lucas Oil Stadium. The mural is done in pastels and shows an animation style representation of the Colts. Former Baltimore Colt Johnny Unitas (19) is shown preparing to throw. Across a large colt player in full gear (centerpiece), Indianapolis Colts legend Peyton Manning (18) is portrayed. There are images of colts (horses) as well as numerous unidentified players engaged in football scenes. On the far right is a Colts' Logo.
