Industrious is a great addition to the North Shore. I had the pleasure of working there for a couple of hours. A+ location as it's adjacent to two train stations: the Metra Union Pacific North line and the CTA Purple Line. Being in downtown Evanston, it's surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafes, and other establishments. Definitely in the vibrant part of town. When you enter the building, you can just go straight to the elevators (I didn't need to check in at the lobby to get a badge or name tag) and go up to the 5th floor. I met Katrina, the community manager, who was extremely friendly and gave me a tour of the space. It's beautifully decorated with large indoor plants, wall art made by local artists, chairs/tables of different shapes and sizes (some with colored upholstery) and contemporary accents. The ceilings are exposed and there's plenty of natural light coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Very industrial chic with a modern touch. There are 69 units that vary in size: small, medium, large, coworking and executive suite. Loud, quiet, solitary, collaborative -- whatever environment works for you in terms of productivity, they've got it. Amenities include multiple conference rooms, two lounge areas, copy rooms with unlimited printing, a wellness room, a room for new moms outfitted with a changing table, huddle rooms (good for group meetings for 4-5 people), phone booths that can fit 1-2 people and even a kids' play area! In the kitchen, you'll find self-serve Colectivo coffee, nitro cold brew and matcha green tea from Limitless coffee and a fridge that's stocked with beer, juice and other beverages. There's also fruit, snacks, and breakfast. Major props for having paper straws! They make it a point to interact and get to know each and every person who works there through social hours, fun activities and networking seminars. What's great is that once you have a membership, you immediately gain access to all the other Industrious locations throughout the country. Those who frequently travel for work can revel in the fact that they can walk into any Industrious office and enjoy the same amenities and hospitality as their home location. Term agreements are flexible to accommodate your needs. Good for students, parents, entrepreneurs, remote workers, nomads, startups, and even established businesses of any size. read more

Took a tour of the Industrious co-working space today. This place is HUGE and it is so much more inviting than any other co working space I have been to. Worth the trip up to Evanston and it is literally steps from the CTA Purple line Davis stop and Metra Davis Street stop. Located right in the heart of downtown Evanston in a beautiful building with views of downtown Chicago, the entire top floor of the building is brand new with a gorgeous design, furniture, coffee on tap it makes me want to never stop working in this space, very inspiring. The conference rooms are welcoming and it's not as stark as some of the other co working chains I have been in. There's a family/wellness room for people with medical needs or who are nursing, lots of private call booths, and private space outside of the reserved rooms. It was fun to see people already at work in the space and this is really going to be in the perfect location for Evanston young entrepreneurs, small businesses and rising professionals. I recently had the pleasure of being asked to host an after hours business event at the Industrious space. This review is based on my experience. First off, Katrina and Elizabeth, who run the space, are friendly, helpful, and incredibly organized. Our event involved setup with food and drink, in addition to needing a projector for a presentation. There is a prep area with a sink and a couple of fridges for storing any food/drink you need or bring. They provided coffee and water, and the projector had plenty of adapters for computers of all shapes and sizes. The presentation screen is portable, so if you're presenting in the main room, you have a bit of flexibility for placement. They also have anything you could need as far as your basic office equipment needs like a printer. The bathrooms are offsite with a code for entry. They also have many conference rooms--some with presentation/screen capabilities. This is a perfect option for hosting a smaller gathering. The space is clean and bright, and the tenants are really a great bunch. I also learned that they are expanding the Industrious space across the hall to make way for housing more businesses. If you're not familiar with the building that Industrious is housed in, it's tucked back aways from the street with a roundabout. If you're dropping off or unloading from your car, there is a drop off zone, but they have security outside. Be prepared to unload quickly and get a move on. read more

Industrious Evanston is the definition of hospitality in the workplace. As someone who typically works from home with plenty of distractions, Industrious easily makes me enthusiastic about making the commute. I know I will be fully productive with my work without having to worry about getting breakfast or drinks, household interruptions and connectivity issues. Upon walking in, you're greeted with huge smiles and warm hellos from the wonderful community directors, Katrina and Elizabeth. They know each and every one of their members well and do what they can to make them feel at home in their office space. The huge office space is full of neutral colors, modern furniture, elegant decor, lush greenery, and natural light. There are two common areas with comfy couches. One that's quiet with no music (called the library) and a larger space with more couches, arm chairs and tables near the cafe/kitchen. The cafe/kitchen is always stocked with Collectivo Coffee and a rotating brand, Hot Tea, Iced Tea on tap, soda pop, and filtered and bottled water. They even provide breakfast items like bagels and yogurt daily. Plenty of kitchenware, two microwaves, 4 dishwashers and two refrigerators (personal and community). There are post-its available so you can label your personal items in the personal fridge. Many of the offices are enclosed by mostly glass rather than drywall. Simple and comfy desks and chairs, which can be moved and configured anyway needed. The offices are soundproofed well in case you need to zone out the serene calming acoustic music in the halls. They have plenty of private offices or co-working spaces of various sizes. There are plenty of conference rooms, some with sound proofing or teleconferencing for team meetings. They have phone booths, a wellness room, a room to get away and stare out at the sky (blanking on what it's called). Two color printers and office supplies. They provide a monthly membership with 24/7 access. They hold weekly events like happy hour Thursdays, massages, planting, and food sessions, which provides the members an opportunity to meet and chat. Go for a tour today! read more

My company is a nationwide CPG brand that has established its headquarters in good ol' Evanston, IL - right here at this Industrious. I feel lucky to have Elisabeth & Scott on my team - they're here to solve issues quickly and make our workday more productive by handling all the essential things a (large or small) business needs to succeed. As a hip and with-it millennial, I hear all about coworking spaces from my friends who work in the city. "We have a barista and kegs with light beer on Fridays!" they say, to which I respond, "do you have a Scott to bring you cookies?" or "what about an Elisabeth, my go-to, who makes sure that there are endless, allergy-free options to eat & drink in the community fridge at all times?" (we're talkin' soy milk, almond milk, oat milk, the expensive dairy-free yogurt I only treat myself to when there's a coupon). In all seriousness, the crew here at Industrious Evanston are reliable, relatable, realistic, timely, organized, personable, motivated and innovative. They'll jump into action to solve any problem headed their way and make you feel right at home while doing it. The space itself is COOL. It's slick and professional. A lot of coworking spaces have a too modern, very cold feel. Industrious makes sure their community spaces here are cozy, comfy, and functional. There are tons of phone booths for private conversations, focus rooms for brainstorms, and big-to-small conference rooms that provide technology to make you feel confident and comfortable in any presentation or conversation you're faced with. Gone are the days of a too cold, styrofoam ceiling spaces with projectors that stopped working in 2008. Included is even a tucked away wellness room, where I will retreat for a quick nap under a wool blanket and dim-lighting (I think this room is probably for breastfeeding mothers). Let's talk about the kitchen. People, there are four dishwashers, two sinks, two industri(ous)al sized refrigerators, two mini-fridges stocked with La Croix and the like, a cold brew and tea keg, and a toaster that takes you to the year 3000 and back all while crisping up a premium bagel. The kitchen has everything you need at all times - bowls, plates, to-go cups & silverware that are made from recyclable materials. There is something provided for breakfast every. single. day. which has brought my personal grocery budget down 40%. We have bagels, croissants, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, granola, oatmeal, etc. weekly. There's always a snack out in the afternoon too, whether it's carefully sourced organic crackers or a mac and cheese bar, you're always fed. I could literally write 4 more paragraphs on each specific thing Industrious has to offer but I've got to get back to my real job. Industrious, as a brand and as a branch here in Evanston, do NOT skimp out on quality in the slightest. Everything here is top-notch and well worth the budget we pay for rent. It's right off of the CTA and Metra and parking is right across the street - making it easy for city & suburb folks to come together. I may be biased, but Scott & Elisabeth are truly the best Industrious employees EVER. I'm so grateful for their ability to make everyone know that their concerns (if there are any) are heard, suggestions are taken into consideration, and they're here for us if things go awry. read more

Evanston has a really nice new shared workspace: you guessed it, it's Industrious. I've had the opportunity to work there for a few days over the past couple of weeks - and, honestly, I was really productive. The space was friendly, accommodating, quiet ... welcoming, even, in no small part to the efforts of Katrina, their community manager. And there's the key word in what makes Industrious so inviting: community. Katrina let me know that Industrious really thinks of itself as a hospitality company. It shows. I felt welcomed into a group of small, thoughtful, driven businesses all looking to do it right. Industrious was right there at every turn to make it easier for us all and help us come together. Great workspace at Industrious Evanston. Dropped by for Open House Chicago and was very impressed at what they had to show. The rates are very fair starting at $465 a month for a coworking space with free printing and cafe items. The location is phenomenal because it is sandwiched between the Metra and the Purple line CTA. You can definitely get to downtown without any issues. If you get an office facing south, you can see the Sears Tower. read more

Wow, what a beautiful place. We had an event there and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. It has a modern yet comfortable feel, and lots of really nice amenities like a couple different kinds of coffee (both excellent and I'm a huge coffee snob), a breakfast spread of bagels or pastries depending on the day, private rooms to make calls from if you don't have an office there, comfy furniture, lots of plants, great views, etc. I have an office at home but am seriously considering getting some kind of membership so I can have client meetings there. This is a beautiful space, full of eye catching design. I love that it is so close to the train and that they cater both breakfast and lunch every day. We had a group meeting with our out of town team members and thoroughly enjoyed the space. The facility is a great blend of modern, bright, and cozy at the same time, with workspaces in several different sizes and configurations. Members have lots of ways of engaging with each other if they want that, plus nooks for impromptu meetings or conversations. Great surprises to me included the delicious and unique breakfasts each morning and plenty of beverages and afternoon snacks. Facilities were very clean, and the wi-if was strong! We moved our 3 offices to Industrious, and we couldn't be happier! First, the location is terrific - the 909 Davis building is connected to the Metra on one side, and to the L purple line on the other, which was important for our employees. Second, the design is open, spacious, comfortable, and techy - with plenty of sunlight coming in, lots of open spaces. It was a big upgrade compared to the offices we rented from the competition half a block away. My favorite bit are the phone-rooms, which are really comfortable and handy when you are making a lot of video calls. Third, the Staff! Both Elisabeth and Katrina went out of their way to ease our move to industrious, they were (and are) accommodating to all our weird needs and requests, and they are simply AWESOME! Lastly, the Thursday happy hours, the mixers, and all the events are a nice touch to get connected with the other people working in Industrious. I honestly believe our team is happier *and more productive* since we moved to industrious, and I'm extremely happy we did this move. read more

This is a great option for Evanston workers. The space is sleek but warm with huge windows. I've been in similar raw space where noises and voices bounced off cement floors and high ceilings. That's not an issue here. The office I was in was quiet and felt private. The common space is well furnished and the kitchen is well stocked with what you'd expect and more (loose leaf tea and iced coffee). They've got private phone rooms and a "medical" room which would be great for nursing mothers. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I hosted an event at Industrious in Evanston and it exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough about Katrina and Elizabeth and all they offered to me and my clients. Amazing amenities like delicious local coffees, nitro coffee and matcha green tea on tap, a breakfast spread every morning, happy hour and afternoon snacks, Le Labo products in the bathroom; the list goes on and on. Thoughtful touches like surprising us with wine and beer to toast the end of our successful event. The space itself is calm, gorgeous and well thought out. Other members were welcoming. I have just spent three very productive days in the new Industrious Evanston co-working space. The well designed facility provides everything you need including electrical outlets everywhere, private phone rooms for cell phone calls, coffee and free printing. There is a good incentive to start work early because of the great free breakfasts. You can move between very quiet spaces and a cafe environment depending on what makes you the most productive at the moment. Katrina provided an excellent orientation and tour. read more
