Being in downtown Evanston, it's surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafes, and other establishments. Definitely in the vibrant part of town. When you enter the building, you can just go straight to the elevators (I didn't need to check in at the lobby to get a badge or name tag) and go up to the 5th floor. I met Katrina, the community manager, who was extremely friendly and gave me a tour of the space. It's beautifully decorated with large indoor plants, wall art made by local artists, chairs/tables of different shapes and sizes (some with colored upholstery) and contemporary accents. The ceilings are exposed and there's plenty of natural light coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Very industrial chic with a modern touch. There are 69 units that vary in size: small, medium, large, coworking and executive suite. Loud, quiet, solitary, collaborative -- whatever environment works for you in terms of productivity, they've got it. Amenities include multiple conference rooms, two lounge areas, copy rooms with unlimited printing, a wellness room, a room for new moms outfitted with a changing table, huddle rooms (good for group meetings for 4-5 people), phone booths that can fit 1-2 people and even a kids' play area! In the kitchen, you'll find self-serve Colectivo coffee, nitro cold brew and matcha green tea from Limitless coffee and a fridge that's stocked with beer, juice and other beverages. Located right in the heart of downtown Evanston in a beautiful building with views of downtown Chicago, the entire top floor of the building is brand new with a gorgeous design, furniture, coffee on tap it makes me want to never stop working in this space, very inspiring. The conference rooms are welcoming and it's not as stark as some of the other co working chains I have been in. There's a family/wellness room for people with medical needs or who are nursing, lots of private call booths, and private space outside of the reserved rooms. It was fun to see people already at work in the space and this is really going to be in the perfect location for Evanston young entrepreneurs, small businesses and rising professionals. No matter what question I have about Regus (as a whole or specifically about the Evanston location), he is there--speedy and accurate. Right now I spend most of my time at the Merchandise Mart Regus (closer to my day gig), but I can't wait to spend more time up at the Evanston spot. Their reception staff is so kind and helpful and the views of downtown Chicago are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you, Brenden, for all of your help!

I had heard of shared spaces but wasn't sure if it would work. I shopped around looking at various shared spaces and decided to go with Co-Lab. It was the best deal out of all the different co-working places. Miguel was very accommodating, loved the idea of having an IT person on site, and was able to set up a space suitable for my type of business. The best part is that I'm saving so much money running my business from here verses renting an office alone and adding up the cost of Internet, Office supplies, furniture, etc. Co-Lab is in a vibrant area with lots of businesses nearby. I've been able to expand my clientele just by being in this location and still maintain my existing clients. My clients even commented on the space, saying that it's such an improvement compared to my old location. They love that we can meet in a professional conference room, complete with white board, and flat screen TV. I no longer have to worry about printer supplies, internet expense, electric bills, high rent, it's month to month, no risk or commitment and the free coffee is a nice touch! It's a full service, state of the art professional office space without the huge overhead of one.
