The best of the best. With the down economy, I no longer get to have Mary Ann come to my house…read moreevery two weeks. There's not a day that goes by where I don't miss her, though. Rose Petal is to Scary Maids as a Ferrari is to a Pinto. I was drawn in to Rose Petal to begin with because they offer benefits to their employees and do their part to elevate the profession of housekeeping (I also had a REALLY scary experience with a house cleaner I found in the EW). I stayed with them because they are fabulous. Whereas another housekeeper might come to your house and clean the same way each time, RPH provides ongoing training to their employees and utilizes a scheduling program so that all the neglected areas of your house get their just due. One visit might have a particular focus on windowsills, the next might be a lookout for spiders. Either way, your house is going to be cleaner than it ever has been. Another feature that I love about RPH is that they utilize your cleaning materials. So, you can be as obsessive as you want about the type of chemicals used in your home. The employees will leave you a note if you're running low on anything, and will also make environmentally-friendly suggestions about cleaning materials that may be more effective (Bon Ami, anyone?). Lastly, although the economy has busted me (at least temporarily), the prices at RPH are VERY reasonable. I pay less per hour for the work that they do than I do with any other cleaning company. Less pay for me, but fair pay for the employees and benefits to boot? Sounds like a winning combo.

I went with a different local guy who said all the right things and bid low. The guy's website said: "Attention to Detail Guaranteed. I offer this service at an extremely competitive rate while not compromising on a quality finish." Boy, was that a lie! This guy had no business doing this type of work. But... that's a different review. I called Brandon and explained what was going on, and even though I didn't hire them, he took time out of his day, came out and gave me some critical feedback. Brandon was professional and clear, and as he talked I knew I had hired a general handyman to do a professional's job. If it hadn't been for Brandon and his expert advice, I would have been left with a shady contractor and an unfinished excavation site. I should have hired Brandon and his crew to come out and do the job right the first time! Thanks for being a standup contractor, Brandon!
