I will put it this way: I purchased a package of three sessions. I went to two. I will not go back for the third. I'm distressed by the experience I had with my friend there today. Not only was the front desk person dismissive and ignored my friend, but the owner (or possibly manager -- she did not introduce herself beyond her first name) defended what the staff member said, but did not listen to us about the reason her behavior was offensive and unacceptable read more

This is a welcoming studio with a wide range of classes. Each teacher has a slightly different style and provides multiple position options, which supports broadening my practice. I have been taking Vinyasa flow, hot yoga, wall yoga. I plan my week to ensure I take one of Donna Donofrio's flow classes. She has tremendous positive energy, and her classes are fun with always something challenging. The perfect way to end the week is Cindy Romano's stretch and flow class. read more

This yoga studio is the best yoga studio in Caldwell! I have been practicing yoga here on-and-off for nearly a decade and am delighted with it. I'm so thankful that it's offering in-studio classes while we (hopefully) see the end-half of this pandemic. If you are curious about yoga, even just a little, check out the so many different styles of yoga and workshops that are happening at the studio. There is something here for everyone, really. There are power yoga classes or gentle, yin and restorative classes. Plus now there is the aerial and hot studio ! I had the unbelievably good luck of beginning my yoga teacher training journey with the Indigo Yoga Family. I have learned about yoga, and so much more. The way to practice yoga in one's life requires a total change in the way of living. Starting a journey like this at such a welcoming space, with such wonderful, knowledgeable and experienced teachers has made all the difference. I am so grateful to the Indigo tribe for being here for me. Stephanie's leadership and vision is truly inspiring. Cindy is such a great restorative and yin yoga master, I am honored to be her student. On top of this, the teacher training included a variety of different styles and aspects of yoga. I love the STRETCH AND STRENGTH Yoga Class with Lisa Romano!! She incorporates breath with movement for a beautiful yoga practice. The asanas are paired with the breath so the body is able to go deeply into poses and the mind becomes calm and focused. The postures are great for stretching and strengthening. Lisa creates a peaceful easeful practice that flows beautifully. . I highly recommend her class! read more

How does this place only have one review. Check them out. This studio is awesome. I've been going to Indigo for about 2 years now (on and off). 1. It's a diverse group of people of all ages. Some studios can be cliquey but I don't feel like an outside when I haven't been here for a while. 2. They offer multiple classes during the day and a wide range of classes from working up a sweat to soul calming classes. 3. All of the teacher are good. They are kind and real. 4. The space is really Zen. Nice floor, rustic light fixture and there's a tree mural into he front of the room that works great as a drishti. The front lobby has seating and have cute items for sale. 5. There's parking in the back. It's a great place to practice. read more

I'm somewhat of a beginner to yoga (a little bit over a year experience, on and off) and I have tried several studios in the area. I prefer this place over others, for several reasons: - The instructors' teaching styles in the more gentle, restorative and beginner-type classes. I've gotten a few different instructors here and they tend to perform the moves in the front of the room along with the class, as opposed to dictating the moves while walking the floor (a style that makes me lost and nervous while doing the moves, at times). I like to learn from seeing an instructor, and to have my choice of where to set up within the room, as opposed to going to the back and trying to follow everyone else. - The instructors care. They are approachable and if you tell them you're having a physical discomfort or even having trouble with anxiety or the like, they're likely to make suggestions that help you, personally, get the most out of your session. - Classes run later, compared to many places in the area. This is why I started coming here in the first place. I found myself missing many classes elsewhere because it's not always feasible for someone who works full-time to arrive prepared and dressed for "after work" yoga classes that start as early as 5:00 or even 5:30 PM. Therefore, I could never actually commit & I'd have to pay the drop-in rate each time. Indigo has classes that start after 6:00 PM or even at 7:30 some nights, making the schedule much more convenient and I am able to buy a package and save money that way. - It has a parking lot in the back, so I don't have to worry about rushing there earlier to find a spot on the street or metered parking, like some studios I've been to in the Morristown and Denville areas. - The space itself is nice and calming, with low light and enough room for the average class size. The class can sit facing the instructor and not have to face each other or get in some other awkward arrangements in order to fit. Also, there are no weird smells in the space, which might seem like a strange observation but some studios go overboard trying to provide a spiritual experience and spray herbal scents or burn incense and candles, etc. I prefer being able to breathe and not be distracted. - There is a nice variety of classes, from gentle and restorative, to strength-building and high energy, to prenatal and multiple yoga retreats and workshops. I haven't tried one of the workshops or retreats, so I can't speak on those experiences, but I plan to in the future and I like that this studio offers them. - The studio is listed in the MINDBODY fitness app, so you can check the class offerings, register and pay for the classes ahead of arriving at the studio if you'd like, and it's very convenient. The only thing I'd say is that, in terms of pricing, I wish they offered a rate/package in between the drop-in (per-class) and 10-Class pack. It'd be a nice option considering that there is an expiration date on the packages, so if you have an extended period during which you can't keep up with your yoga, there's a possibility you might not get to use all the classes you've paid for. To be fair, the expiration window is generous enough that many people won't have such an issue, but I'm on the verge of losing some classes due to having been unexpectedly being sent out of the area for work during much of the year, and multiple other places I've been a member at don't have expiration dates on their packages or it's something extremely generous like 2 years, and I wouldn't have this issue. I suppose this is a minor inconvenience, though, as I'd still rather come here than the other places. Overall, really awesome place that I love to visit and find my zen with a yoga class. Always helps me stay balanced and it's a pleasure to visit. Really happy I found it, as it feels like a home. read more

I have been a member of the wonderful Indigo Yoga family for a year and a half. I enjoy all of the different classes they have to offer as well as events and gatherings as well as learning how to be a true yogi mentally and physically. From the moment I walked in the engergy was peaceful and the space beautiful...I was unpleasantly surprised by the cold atmosphere once in the yoga room....the smell of feet (I think) and an unenthusiastic instructor. Don't let the book cover fool you, not worth a second try, sadly. read more
