We called in early March for availability for our infant and were told the soonest was May which worked perfectly with our timeline. We came in to tour and then coordinated a day to come in before our infants first day. We came in to do our orientation a week prior to the first day and Yaya seemed very confused when we came in and told us she "couldn't remember" what room our infant was placed into.. We were shown the classroom she would be in and were introduced to the teachers. We were told that she would have a cubby for all her items; however, on the first day of drop off she did not have a cubby or an area for her items. Not to mention I did not even recognize the teachers who were in the classroom with her. When I went to look for the items I dropped off, I found them items on the floor in a storage closet while other infants had their items neatly set up and put away. When we confronted the center they claimed "a label" is not a reflection of the care our child will receive and the excuse was "Erica" has been out for a week and they didn't know where our infant's stuff was so they couldn't set up her items properly. They had plenty of notice to prepare for our infant advance. It may just be a label but what it shows me they are unorganized, lack basic communication skills amongst their employees and if they can't properly store her necessities, they lack the ability to they take care of my child, it is 100% a reflection of the care my child will receive.

The staff and teachers are so wonderful and caring with my little one and the kids currently enrolled there. She is totally getting the developmental attention she needs. She gets to do arts and crafts, gets outside time, and has plenty of interaction with kids and adults. The teachers keep all your suggestions and comments in mind and will update you with information you would want to know (I want to know everything ;-) about my baby! haha). Since we both work it was important to find people we could rely on. So happy our baby is with trusting people and I would recommend LHLC to all parents!

Our kids: - were excited to be there every day - were surrounded by wonderful, nurturing teachers who balanced play with development. Our kids were beyond prepared for kindergarten in every sense. - made tons of friends, including from younger and older classes because there's some cross-over play time. It's small enough that every teacher knew our kids well. - loved the facility - the rooms have a super happy energy and the backyard is shady and full of activities - had the option to participate in a wide range of extra activities that the school coordinates to take place onsite - Spanish, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, dance Both of my daughters attended from age 3 onward and I only wish we'd started there sooner because the difference in their happiness between their first preschool and Creative World was so stark. We're so grateful to everyone there who played such a pivotal role in our children's lives (and ours in taking such good care of them!). We've since recommended it to a number of friends, who've all had similarly fantastic experiences.

He also really struggled with socializing and every staff member was so warm, gentle, and patient with him. Additionally, Creative World provides enrichment opportunities you can choose to have your child participate in throughout the school day such as Spanish classes, gymnastics, Soccer Shots, and swim lessons through Little Ones Swim next door. This was so helpful as a parent because he could learn different skills and it was all taken care of during the school day. Every month they send out a schedule of snacks, events, and themes for the week. They are on top of curriculum and they stick to their plans. Miss Liz also makes sure things are running smoothly and has amazing communication with the families. I would highly recommend Creative World!

Even…read morewhen we got into other Preschools, I stayed on the waitlist for Discovery, and I'm so glad I did. One thing I've learned about sending a little one to school is: It works best if you have a place with enough teachers who truly care about your child, and who also understand that parents (as well as kids) need some flexibility and understanding at this age... And that's what they've been with us - understanding and flexible - through the crazy local weather spells, child sicknesses... all of it. They truly embrace the concept that no two kids are the same, so you really can't force kids into some cookie-cutter template (e.g. expecting all kids to develop at the same rate, forcing them all to nap every day, etc.). I have been especially impressed with the owner, Kirsten, and the Director, Courtney - Always nice, always friendly, obviously work very hard and care about each and every student they have, etc. And this care and consideration is not only shown to my kid, but also to me, which is a breath of fresh air at an age when things can be so stressful. Would also like to add that their prices are the most reasonable you'll find and the gifts they have kids make and bring home for their parents during the holidays are absolutely delightful... Again, another sign that they not only care about your child, they care about the whole picture. Props of course as well to all of their individual hardworking teachers!

Our son loves it here. All of the teachers are nice. Couldn't be happier with the experience.read more

I would not recommend this daycare based on our experience. My one-year-old nephew attended this…read morecenter, and there were multiple incidents that raised serious concerns about his care and safety. One staff member in particular frequently expressed frustration with him because he wouldn't nap and because he cried. He was only one year old, and those behaviors are completely normal for a child his age. Instead of showing patience and compassion, it felt like she viewed him as a burden. Beyond that, we noticed a lack of supervision and attentive care--not just for my nephew, but for other children as well. While the daycare provides cameras for parents to monitor their children, they unfortunately revealed concerning examples of inadequate supervision rather than providing reassurance. Our family communicated these concerns with the center multiple times and gave them opportunities to address the issues, but nothing changed. After repeated incidents and no meaningful resolution, we immediately withdrew my nephew from the daycare. I'm sharing this experience so other parents can make informed decisions. I hope the daycare takes these concerns seriously and holds staff accountable to ensure all children receive the safe, patient, and attentive care they deserve.

I would strongly look elsewhere for child care. I started bringing my 5 month old daughter (at the…read moretime) to Little Discoveries in 2025. At first, the environment seemed welcoming although I initially had a few concerns about the front door being unlocked. As soon as you open the front door, you are entering the infant room and there is zero safety precautions in place preventing any random person from entering. My husband and I also noticed that an employee often had her 3 or 4 year old son in the infant room often along with her husband. I was informed that the young boy was in the infant room only to breastfeed, however I never once observed that. The child was running and jumping around the small babies on the ground. Additionally, I was concerned about her husband being in the infant room as he was not a vetted employee. We continued to observe this but did not say anything until one day we picked up our daughter and realized she had only been fed one 6 ounce bottle in an eight hour day. The employee informed my husband our daughter was hungry and then she continued hanging out with her husband and son in the infant room. I immediately contacted Meaghan and informed her that I had an issue with the employee having family time while my daughter was not being fed. Meaghan denied knowing that the employee's husband was ever in the building and stated the young boy was only in the room to feed. Meaghan assured me that my daughter would be fed correctly and that she would inform the employee that her husband could no longer be in the room. Shortly after, it was very apparent that this employee was choosing not to take care of my child. She would consistently have diaper rashes that were so severe and red. The final straw for me was two days in a row, I entered the facility and observed the employees sitting on the couch on their cell phones scrolling. My child was sitting on the ground and I could smell poop as soon as I walked into the building. She was covered in poop, and it was old to the point where I had to scrape it off of her skin. She had such a severe diaper rash on the top of her butt and lower back that it actually is still scarred to this day. The rash was bleeding and shiny it looked like a burn. And to top it off, she had poop all over her clothing. I immediately removed my child from this day care and filed a report with the state. Meaghan lied to the social workers stating she was never aware an employee's husband was there, among other things. I would have respected Meaghan's honesty and admitting there were issues she ignored but that the employee was ultimately terminated. Instead, the employee was terminated and Meaghan denied any wrong doing. They do not do much with the children. The infants sit on the ground all day by themselves with little to no interaction besides the television. The employees are usually sitting on their phones on the couch. While it is my word versus the day care's, there are SEVERAL people that I know that have since had serious issues with the care of their child at this facility. I would highly HIGHLY recommend taking your child elsewhere.

The campus is lovely and perfect for young children; bright colors and loads of fun toys. The school also has a huge backyard to play in with bikes and a playground. The teachers are all kind and knowledgeable and the smaller class sizes ensure plenty of one on one attention. I appreciate that there are themes that focus on fairy tales, and pets, and the human body ,and everything else in between. Our daughter is always excited to go to school--I would highly recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a clean, loving environment to send their kiddos.

My husband and I transitioned our 5 year old son after being in a in home daycare to a more 'school…read morebased' care/preschool as he fell along the later Kindergarten kids since his birthday is in October and we were a little too late to enroll him to WCSD Pre-K programs, but also needed something more full-time rather than a 7-12pm timeframe. Purple Door Preschool D'Andrea is located next to my mom's apartment at Eastland , so my husband and I thought it help with drop off and pick ups. I have also had multiple friends mention they love Purple Door. When I first called, they said I could come by anytime during the week to do a tour. So I went with my son and met Mr. T for the first time who showed me the D'Andrea campus . I was impressed with the type of rooms they had, the different themes each month, and the 'curriculum' they offered for the kids , especially for the 4/5 year olds who are about to go into Kinder. We made the decision to officially transition our son around October time and my son was really excited. So far with my experience with this school, I had concerns at first with the transition and my son making friends as he met some of his closer friends at his old daycare . Everything was good so far, but my son did have an issue he expressed to me about another kid who supposedly not as nice to my son. I mentioned my concerns to the teachers about the other child targeting my son, however the teacher explained that the other child did have some problems with other kids also and fair enough my son can have a lot of energy too and is still working on his boundaries as a 5 year old. That was the beginning of my sons time with PurpleDoor but have not heard anymore problems with the other child after that. They also got the cubbies confused on my sons first day of school where we had an awkward situation with another parent about my sons cubby being incorrect . It was an easy resolve though, and it all worked out at the end. My son has been able to spell his name, his last name, and progress more with his cognitive learning since being at PurpleDoor and I've been happy with all the other extra curriculum they've done at the school like their winter performances and right now their soccer shots that I just enrolled my son on Tuesdays till March. This is a school where you do have to provide your own lunches for your kids but they have parties every now and then. They do also follow WCSD calendar, so anytime the schools are closed are when PurpleDoor is closed along with winter delays or fire days , but they do communicate with you over the BrightWheel app and emails regarding any closure or delays. Every month you are required to bring a Costco size snack for the kiddos as they provide the snacks and fresh fruit for them. Finally this is a tuition based school with different cost for part time and full time care along with before and after school care. As a first time parent, I do recommend to look at all your options for care especially if you have a 4/5 year old because there are Pre-K programs for WCSD as long as there is room and not tuition based and depending on your location in NNV other preschools may offer till 6pm care without paying an addition cost for after school care. But I do recommend PurpleDoor Preschool as the teachers are great, the curriculum is good, and my 5 year old son absolutely loves it.
