Now, with just a couple months left on my lease, Nest Finders is refusing to repair two damaged doors, including a porch door that's a clear safety risk. My lease specifically lists "repair of inoperable doors and windows" as the landlord's responsibility, yet they keep denying service and ignoring my written requests. It's disappointing and unprofessional. After a year of being a responsible tenant, I'm being dismissed and left with safety issues they're legally required to fix. Tenants deserve better communication, accountability, and respect than this.

Got to my apartment, and it had never been cleaned. My windows do not lock properly, had to run my water for 2 days non stop, no screens or blinds on any window. My door has a huge gap in it, so the cockroaches that are in every apartment come through my door. Any maintenance request you put in, they put a bandaid on it and don't fix it properly. But then they will bill you because the problem isn't there. My newest neighbor just moved in with her kids... and her unit is already flooding from an existing problem they knew about from the previous tenants leaving the place. Now there is mold in the walls, and all of us are dealing with the headache... even though JWB gutted the apartment 2 months ago for flooding damage.

Why does this require a picture? And anyway, they do none of their own maintenance. It's all outsourced to local contractors anyway. And after giving them the evidence they request, they ghost you regarding updates. They lied and told me the property I was renting was sold to Elevate, but they own elevate. This is likely an attempt to hide from their extremely toxic JWB brand. Now, it's been 5 weeks since I moved out and they still aren't responding to messages about returning my deposit. I've received no notices, so it appears I'll have to sue them.

Suncoast currently manages 25 rental houses and 1 office building for my company. They have overseen several rehabs from start to finish. Every time I try to speak with someone, the employees either don't seem to know what's going on, give inconsistent information, or fail to follow through. It often feels like I'm being ignored or told things that aren't accurate just to move the conversation along. To make matters worse, when I finally had a scheduled tour, the lockbox did not work at all. I had to call three separate times for assistance, and no one was able to resolve the issue. I showed up at my scheduled time and still couldn't access the property. As a prospective tenant, this experience has been very disappointing. If it's this difficult just to view a property, it raises concerns about how issues might be handled after signing a lease. I hope they improve their organization and communication moving forward.

Half of the windows in our apartment weren't installed correctly so the can't actually latch closed. Same with our patio door, you could see light through the weather stripping around the door when we moved in. The walls are also thin and you can hear people up at all hours. I've been lucky to have decently quiet neighbors but others have not been so lucky. There's also no carpeting in the living rooms so you can hear people even easier. People also like to speed and race down the road this apartment is on. You can especially hear them revving and doing burnouts at night between 1-3am :) . If you don't live facing the road this shouldn't be a problem. They also annoyingly now only accept rent payment through their stupid BILT app. And they have a communal mail room so it's a trust system for packages.

What made the experience even more disheartening was the overall lack of empathy from the apartment staff when something traumatic occurred in my apartment. The office was fully aware of the situation, as police became involved, yet not a single employee or member of management checked in to see how I was doing afterward. However, the office had no issue sending frequent emails about trash violations and other minor matters. That silence spoke volumes about the level of care and compassion shown toward residents as people, not just tenants. Professionalism, communication, and basic human decency should be priorities in any residential community, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.
