I can't say enough about IPA. I train daily and my body usually has an ache or pain here or there. A friend recommended that I try acupuncture and cupping. I've seen Gabby a few times over the past couple months and like most aspects of body work or health in general, things take time. I'm finally ready to leave a review and commit to acupuncture as my principal form of care. My first experience was after I went for a run in the wrong shoes. My calves were cramping to the point where I could barely walk. They were like rocks. It was arguably the most uncomfortable I've felt in my adult life, and I've had some serious discomfort. It was probably because I was trying to be healthy and it backfired hard. I made an appointment with Gabby and within 18 hours the muscles had released and I was back to life. They weren't 100% but at least I could walk again. My latest appointment was to treat a lingering shoulder injury (which I believe was caused by a serious high ankle sprain in 2017). I had been caring for and treating the shoulder and the hip of the same side (both were tight) and Gabby thought I might be giving myself temporary relief but the root cause could be found by treating the opposite side of my body. Skeptical, but I let her do her thing. I left that office with immediate relief (even though I was laying on the shoulder in pain) but the best part of it is how I'm feeling 2 days after. The shoulder is feeling much better and last night was the first night in months that my elbow didn't hurt washing my hair. I fully believe and trust in acupuncture and Dr. Gabriela Davila. I had the pleasure of meeting Gabby and receiving her care at The Stand Down For Veterans San Diego where she was offering her time and practice for veterans and their families free of charge. I've had a bad lower back for awhile, and while stretching and doing Yoga helped for a little while, it would always regress back to feeling bad. I twisted my ankle while hiking at night. The whole side of my ankle turned purple and I was limping for a whole day. One of my friends recommended acupuncture. I was so nervous to try Accupuncture, I've heard some bad stories and am not a big fan of needles.
