She had the room so dark that she clearly didn't see the needles were still in when she informed me I was through and said I could stand up. I love Source Empowered Wellness and all this place has to offer!! I've been getting MicroDermal needling & cosmetic acupuncture for a few months now. I have struggled with adult acne for over 2 years and nothing has worked for my skin like MicroDermal needling. I've only had 4 sessions, with Simone & Sharron (who I both LOVE!) and I cannot wait to continue treatments. Looking back on my before photos of my skin I really cannot believe it. I never realized how bad it was, but what I do remember is how much I did not feel like myself because of my skin. Growing up I never had blemishes so my seemingly uncontrollable acne was really taking a toll on my mental health, until now. Buyer beware. Sessions or treatment plans have an 'expiration ' date. I purchased $800.00 worth of treatments and used at least half of them and had to take a break because I was out of the country but when I returned I was told that my remaining sessions had 'expired ' I was not told this upon my initial consultation. The treatments that I received were good but not as good as I had experienced with other acupuncturists. You should not be able to feel the needle and definitely not have them hit a nerve. This happened a few times at each session. For me, it was a convenience for their location, but now I know I need to drive a bit to get better treatments. Dr Simone and her team are AMAZING. They are so calm and the space is incredibly healing. Acupuncture is such a weird science, it always surprises me when it works (let's be honest, is it magic?!). I have been to Source multiple times for acupuncture and cupping to address stress and neck, hip, & IT band muscle pain/tension. My appointments have been in the community room which has the most zen vibe. I feel like I enter a calming trance during treatments and walk out leaving so much better than when I came in. I have had acupuncture appointments at other facilities before, but they felt unhelpful or were very expensive. Source community room is reasonably priced, plus magical (did I say that already?!). They take insurance from American Specialty Health so, now I transitioned from out of pocket to insurance. I plan to join their membership option ($100/month for two visits each month, can purchase more) once my insurance visits are all completed. My first visit, 5 needles were left in, I knew and advised, but she was ready to send me on my way -- that should have been a clue. I did request another acupuncturist -- liked her -- signed up and gave access to my credit card for a slight discount -- not realizing that I was obligating myself to 2 sessions a month. I wasn't that thrilled with the place/ Source, so I didn't return. Then get a call 3 months later that I was about to pay for 2 more sessions I hadn't used; (Sept and Oct) had already been charged. I requested on the phone call and in writing that I be able to use the lost sessions --- the answer is No. What a pathetic way to run a business. There are no ethics to this business owner, and the service is mediocre. Plus unless you want to pay more, you get a large lounge chair in a room with everyone else. read more

I had my first acupuncture experience with Simone and I have to rave about how great she made it. I was very anxious about trying acupuncture but Simone made me feel comfortable and safe. I am so grateful and lucky to have found Source Empowered Wellness! The practitioners here are overflowing with compassion and knowledge. An accident at the tide pools wrenched my lower back, the kind of pain where I couldn't walk, only crawl - for over a day. Steroids and muscle relaxants from a physician didn't touch the spasm. I went into SEW and Lynsi got me needled up and set up cups on my back. I immediately felt a little better, and she gave me great tips on biomechanics and explained treatments and the injury in a caring way. In subsequent days, the back pain was still pretty intense so I went back for more treatments. (Pro tip: Get the unlimited deal for new patients! It's such a relief to be able to go as needed without worrying about costs adding up. Especially if you have an acute situation - get the unlimited deal, and go as often as you can!) I saw Simone, and was surprised when she had me sit in a chair for treatment - like, how was that going to help my back? No doubt Simone has the credentials via education and experience to explain why she's so very good at what she does, but it also feels like she has an innate sense of what people need - physically but also emotionally. She set up needles along various spots on the front of my body, and I swear I could feel little whirlpools happening, moving around, and literally releasing... A bit of emotional release happened too (I cried, like, a lot, because sometimes pain is scary!) and she was very reassuring, offering some insights that I didn't know I needed to hear. Four days of treatment (from both Lynsi and Simone) after the initial spasm and it's settling down, and I am *sure* that would not be the case without the team at SEW. I saw an advertisement on Facebook for $49 deal. I filled out a form on Facebook to inquire about it. Shortly after someone called and it turns out it's just for the consult and then there's an additional fee for the treatment and I was told they can't be both done on the same day. They then told me they would need a credit card in advance to book my appointment, which I thought was very suspicious. After speaking with them further, I explained that I was ultimately interested in a cupping session which I was told I could do that separately without the consult. So they asked for a credit card to book the appointment again, strange and suspicious. I booked the appointment for the following day and arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment and it took somewhere between five and 10 minutes for somebody to come out and greet me and after a few more minutes they spoke to me and then asked if I had filled out the pre-registration form online and I said no. I went on to explain had they said to look for the form via email I would've filled it out in advance. At this time I'm just a few minutes away from my appointment start time. They then took a few minutes setting up the tablet that they had for me too fill out the forms. Now it is just a couple of minutes away from my appointment time, and they hand me this tablet which I didn't have my reading glasses, and I could barely read what it said it would've taken me forever to fill it out. I asked if it was going to cut into my appointment time and she said no and that they were training someone new so they will be sure to let them know to tell people in the future about the form arriving in an email previous to the appointment. My anxiety was so high by this point. And it's now past the time my appointment would be starting so I opted to not have my treatment. My recommendation to them was to make sure that their employees were thoroughly trained before putting them in charge of the solicitation calls. It is simple. Create a training, manual. The best experience was to receive Facial Rejuvenation from Dr. Simone Ressner.
