This campground caters mostly to RVs but they do have a few tent sites. If you tent camp, make sure you get a "C" site and not an "F" site- the latter has no shade and is far from the bathrooms. The good- Small waterpark, but the kids liked that and the exercise equipment. Bathroom were clean. They have an ice cream shop in the reception, and friendly staff. Lots of amenities nearby (McD, Starbucks, Mexican, etc) The bad- Close to I70, you can hear the freeway all night. Called from Tennessee to make reservation for a 45' coach for 7 days $800.00 They put us in a buddy site because they can't sell them. 100's of available sites with private concrete pads but they stuck us in a site where neighbors are using our picnic table and their door opens within feet of ours. We asked them since they put us in this ridiculous site to not rent the other buddy site with hundreds of available spots THEY WERE RUDE RUDE RUDE and deliberately placed 2 separate rv's back to back. There is very little space at this KOA as it is let alone park a neighbor I don't know face to face. THIS KOA IS A 100% joke save yourself a lot of heart ache do not come here. We are full timers traveling all over the U.S. and this is theeeee worst worst idiotic incompetent sloppy nasty campground we've ever been to hands down. If your visiting Indianapolis pick a better campground your not missing anything here. We're leaving 5 days early. We camped here with our 5th wheel. It is directly next to a Campers World Store a Taco Bell and the freeway. It was a little confusing trying to find the spot but overall it was open and nice. It's gravel not asphalt, clean, and the staff drives around and keeps it nice. We did not use their restrooms so I cannot speak on that. We were only there for two nights and did not spend the days there. This is not a place I would go for vacation, more so just a place to sleep for the night. read more

Good- 1.friendly people, worked up a last-minute reservation quickly over the phone on a short notice. 2. Seems to have a lot of amenities not normally seen in other campgrounds like pool and barn animals, I guess great for family vacations with children, although some of the reviews here mention some limitations for those. Bad: 1. Misleading website- on the map, says "text anything" phone number but when you have a problem, "business is closed". 2. Staff with inaccurate information /lack of knowledge- we asked , twice on our conversation, for a 50 amp site for an electric vehicle. Arrived very late in the evening to find out that our site only had 30 amp plug. In the middle of the night tried to reach someone to no avail. Went out 36 miles round trip after midnight to charge the car so we could camp without needing to plug. Ended up coming back and keeping our site for the sake of security/safety and being already paid for-but sleeping only 3-4 hours as we did not have proper power. 3. Management is not quite customer- advocate: Manager calls the next morning to answer our calls /texts from night before. Explains then that the 50 amperage is only for RVs, 30 Amp for tents, not really explained to us or not known beforehand by the young staff that took our reservation.. Had to let her know her staff did not know basic information about their business by assigning us to a site that did not have the proper amperage per Phone agreement, and that the website is misleading as there is no emergency contact or the contact for "anything" does not work outside business hours. Management caller kept thinking that we needed the amperage for "charging the car", while I kept repeating to her that actually it was for needed ventilation /air flow of the car while camping. Did not offer a discount or perhaps a credit towards a future stay. 4. Unclear instruction on after-hours arrival- after lingering around the (closed) office door on late-night arrival , inadvertently came across an "after hours board" where we found a map with our name and site number- not clearly expressed on our reservation phone call or website, Other than mentioning that we can always arrive after 8:30 PM/after hours as long as we have a reservation but no more details than that, leading us to believe there would be a human there to meet us. Overall disappointing customer service in spite of friendly people. Not sure I will use them again. read more

We have stayed at this KOA for years during Memorial weekend. Their new procedure is reserve on Black Friday. We reserved online then I realized my husband paid over $1200 for four nights camping. I cancelled the reservation only to become aware they are keeping $300. I will never camp here again. Also, be aware they frequently flood. The service is so far above the rest. Were there things I didn't love and will mention below to help you prepare if you are in a tent or cabin/no bath? Yes, but will we be back? Absolutely!!! We are two moms whose kiddos are best friends and we wanted to give them some real time to have together and wow did we pick the place!! Most importantly, we felt safe because every single employee is friendly, professional, quick to respond and honestly, several went above and beyond (looking at you Glory and Stenton and a handful of names I forget- sorry!) This safe feeling allowed this over protective mom to give the kids freedom and we were certainly in the right cabin (21) as we could see them if they wanted to go to the store (we could see the entry area from cabin) or the horses and goats.. they were also able to scooter with a lot of freedom. The campground had so many organized activities and sadly, I was the only one excited about it so we didn't do them but I observed some and the kids were having a blast! I interacted with the store a lot and I was thrilled that they would allow our girls to go in and order an ice cream without parents.. these are important lessons for kiddos (shopping, using a cc and interacting with cashier) and it just enhanced our experience.. excellent customer service and our girls LOVED going in alone and interacting. The grounds are beautiful and when I book a cabin without a bathroom and it has the bare minimum I don't expect much (think tent with amenities). There was a bigger then dorm size fridge in the room which was a happy surprise. I hate bringing up any negative but be prepared, these cabins aren't new and we heard termites munching on the wood and it was pleasant as it sounds like rain but bugs (Blech) :/. And not much cleaning goes on as in a tent-- cobwebs line the corners.. be prepared. Lots of gaps in the logs of the cabin so visually watch bugs and ants in and out of the cabin... AIR CONDITioner that works very well makes up for most of that! And with the fridge! Awesome... this cabin doesn't have any surfaces for - well, anything. Most of these cabins I have been in has a small desk in both rooms attached to the wall or something similar... we made it work by using the top of their fridge and the bench for surface but bring your camping table to save a lot of trouble. Bring a picnic table cover and chairs and this site will work perfectly!! Absolutely loved the location!! The girls spent their days sleeping in, swimming, meeting new friends, scootering, s'mores, cooking over the fire, interacting with amazing employees!! Wonderful sunset over the office.. staying up way too late, giggling into the night... outstanding time!! Feeding goats our carrot and apple scraps m... absolutely wonderful stay.. Okay- so lastly, the bathroom is fine but bring shower shoes and really have some with more then a flip flop sole because there's some issue with the water going down. I was the only one in the morning and was the first (everything dry) and within less then 2 minutes the water was getting close to the top of my shoe sole and well.. it is like that all day and any camp showers are used by many so Blech.. there are improvements going on everywhere so maybe they will tackle this one The thing that bothered me the most was a lack of a cooking kitchen. I traveled to 22 national parks last summer and never encountered such an awful situation for campers in tents or cabins with no sink or water spicket. We cooked and did so for most meals. First we went to the bathroom to wash our dishes. Well that definitely wouldn't work for so many reasons... then I asked the office and they said to find a spicket from a site unused that was close to us and use it. For us- it wouldn't work well but we used it for a day. Then We went to the laundry room and that worked the best but I hate feeling like I am doing something wrong. Hope they put one in! We arrived on Sunday, 9/17/2023 in our 40 Foot Super C with 3 slides. A couple of hours after our arrival, we were notified of a water leak in the campground. While we were told initially that the water would be off for approx. one hour; we then received notification that the water leak was more involved than previously thought. From there, we were again notified that the water would be off overnight, but there was water in the bath house and laundromat for any use, if needed. Additionally, it was added that we were free to bring our RVs to the office area and fill up our freshwater tank by using a garden hose from the office. On Monday, 9/18/2023, we were notified that the North side of the campground would continue to be without water, but the southside was functioning. We were again invited to fill our water tank at the office. On Monday, 9/18/2023, I inquired at the office about the water leak. While I spoke to very polite young ladies, their answers were not something I expected. I asked if we were going to be offered refunds for the lack of water service that is anticipated with a full hookup reservation; I was told no, because they were offering water for our holding tanks at the office. After I asked, "why would I break down my entire motorhome and set-up, and not leave for another campground that had water?" I was told I could cancel my reservation and that I would be reimbursed for any days that went beyond the 48 hour cancellation period. So, now I have to break down my motorhome and fill up at the office, if I wanted to stay at this KOA and not lose any of my money. I have to say that this thought process lacked clarity of the issue by the folks working in the office. We went without water again on Monday the 18th and headed into Tuesday the 19th without water to our motorhome. It was at this time, we packed up and relocated to another campground that provided a full hookup experience at our campsite. We continued to receive text messages from the Indy KOA about the water situation, which evidently, was provided sporadically on Tuesday the 19th. While we understand that water leaks and such can occur at inopportune times, it was very unfortunate that we were not provided options other than a garden hose fill-up at the office. The expectation that we would break down and reset our motorhome just to fill up with a garden hose, was not only impractical, but frankly, illogical. Moreover, we paid for a full hookup at our campsite, without expectation of it turning into a primitive spot, lacking water. Is this the level of service KOA anticipates being offered by their franchisees? I fully believe that we should have been offered options, instead of the flimsy solution provided. I'm hopeful that someone at KOA is willing to rectify the situation and realize that what we were offered was less than satisfactory. ***KOA.com passed the buck (Predictable) and said that I need to contact the local owner of the park. I did as suggested, but NEVER received any acknowledgement of our e-mail or our issues with our stay in Greenfield.*** read more

We were disappointed in our stay. It looked so promising- great pool with lots of stuff to play in, that they closed even though the signs advertised different hours. The men's bathroom smelled TERRIBLE. While I was at the counter another camper explained that he noticed a part was missing in the plumbing. But her mentioned this to the young person behind the cash register who didn't have the power to approve for it to be fixed. Lovely play area for kids to pretend to be assayers and two friendly horses and a goat to greet. But, the pool was closed early, our site way exceedingly lumpy, our neighbors had a broken fan so we were able to hear it all night. Not worth it for a $70 stay. I will say that the office staff was very friendly and clearly explained our site at check in. read more

I had reservations for seven nights, beginning Monday July 26. The afternoon of the first night there was a sudden storm and afterwards my RV was sitting in 18" of water. This was the low point on the campground and there was no warning this site would flood if it rained. There was no help available, nor any offer of help other than being moved to another site. I told them I needed help getting moved due to water level, which was denied. I finally got myself moved and set at the other site. The next day I went to the office to make my complaint and share my concerns. I was highly frustrated and a bit upset. as I was talking to a manager another employee entered and continuously interrupted my conversation. I looked at him and curtly said "Please stop interrupting our conversation " The owner stood up from behind the counter and in a very loud, angry voice said " I won't have you treat my employees like that. I want you out of here and I will call the police to remove you. I will refund your entire stay, but get out" I left and she only did a partial refund. Very disappointed with this KOA. This woman was very rude and disrespectful. I've never been treated like this at any KOA. read more

Positive: Extremely friendly & helpful college staff. Grounds well maintained. Activities for families. Level, gravel site with full hook-ups. Private with an oversized cement patio with a wooden porch swing and fire pit. Staff was able to deliver wood to us. Daily trash pick up. Quiet. Secure. This Koa is really nice and check in was super easy. We stayed in a cabin here without a bathroom. I liked the space and we were under a big tree for lots of shade. We did just sleep here but there are two windows that made it really nice for sleeping at night with the open air. The only thing I thought was a little weird was the showers they have. They point out toward your stuff so you have to be careful with that and they didn't have the plastic as a shower curtain which I thought would have helped better because the cloth just got wet and was actually sticking to me as I tried to shower. I had read reviews of this campground being loud from the highway and flooding when it rained but we saw and heard nothing where we were. It DOWNPOURED over night and only a couple of spots had water but nothing that I had read complaints about. I actually love their spots with the pergolas, lights, and swings. If I had a camper of my own this would have been a spot I picked. Very nice for our quick trip to Indianapolis. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. read more

We stayed here for about a month and a half for work in the area. (Left last week) While our travel was last minute, Rachel(the owners daughter) did a great job fitting us in. We did have to move sites a couple weekends in a row, which was annoying, but worth it considering we didn't have to find another RV park just for the weekend. Our kids loved the water park and horses. But if it rains a lot there is a section of the park that floods which is really unfortunate for people in those sites. I think filling in with some gravel may do the trick. Either way, I'd definitely come back here again. read more

A month and a half in, we truly enjoyed this place. The staff was kind and helpful. The pool was fun. And feeding the horses apples and carrots was great. I wish I could give zero stars. We were stuck here during flooding, electrical lines submerged, sewage backing up and bubbling out of the ground, etc. Our whole campsite was submerged in 8+ inches of water. They would not move me sites. I agreed to pay for the night I was there but I was leaving due to unsafe environment and they refused to refund me for the night I wouldn't be there. I have sent 3 emails over 6+ weeks that have gone unreturned and left 2 messages with the front desk for a manager that never called me back. Today I spoke with a manager who told me they weren't refunding me, offered no explanation for failed return emails/calls, etc. I told her I'd be filing a complaint and asked for her name - she said "I don't have to give you my name and I won't since all you're going to do is throw me under the bus" and then she hung up on me. Just a few things keep me from giving a better rating. 1 -the pool is only for children, it's only 3 feet deep. . Many adults camp/RV. As a matter fact it's usually retired people 2- there is no cable connection (which I'm OK with) 3- it's very noisy, if you'd like to sleep with the windows open it's hard to sleep. Stayed there for two nights in cabin 22 with my family on the first night I noticed a small bug on my pillow after coming back in before I was about to lay down, picked it up and threw it out the door not thinking anything of it because we were near a wooded area. Come to find out it was a bed bug!!! I have a set of 3 bite marks on my arm that have swelled up intensely, Not to mention the kid that works there constantly speeding around in a golf cart like the camp ground is a nascar track as if kids aren't running around all over unsupervised (accident waiting to happen) he about flipped going so fast skidding through gravel. read more

Unfortunately she did not learn the good business sense her parents had. After raising the rates $20 per night from the rate we were quoted when we made (& paid 1 night) our reservations, she was unwilling to even compromise and give us the first night we already paid for at the quoted rate. Her 1st response to us was that if we didn't like it we could leave. When the next family member checked in and questioned the 13% increase she banned us from returning. We stayed in a famliy cabin and it was a nice size. It was two bedrooms and also had a pullout couch. It was clean and people were friendly. On Friday they play a movie on a big screen and have a hayride for everyone. They also have a nice playground for the kids to play at. The pool was really nice and the restroom with showers was clean which I must admit was a surprise since usually they don't seem to be that clean at campgrounds. Rude peple. Dump Station OUT of ORDER. Hose had been cut, they failed to repair. Charged for dumping told to pick any site to dump. Had an issue with our tank... man comes on cart and wants to make sure we know we only paid to dump we couldn't spend the night. THEN told we can't use the water source to dump... huh??? We live localy only come here to dump and with a dump in disrepair this is not convienent so because we were here for an hour we get growled at... There are 6 units here. 1 week prior to season end... what does it matter how long it takes to dump when we paid and have to make accomodations because the grounds are not properly maintained. 》How about you stop policing your 6 tennants, get off the cart and repair the dump site. * He automatically assumed we were doing something wrong. Have dumped here several times a year over the course of 5yrs. We have had out of town guests stay in our RV at their location. The blatent lack of respect for us bothered me enough to let you know there are two other RV locations far more hospitable. * In the end were we discourteous because they failed to keep the property up and it took us longer to get in and get out?? No. YET we were treated rudely for trying to make the best of a bad situation. Yes. Customer Service is a lost art. read more

Surprised and disappointed that our site completely flooded during a rainy evening. Had to wade through at least 8" of water to unhook. Not a safe situation to unplug electricity and sewer hose! Problematic to take our pup out as well. Entrance and park roads were a nightmare as well with deep potholes and no gravel. This does not seem to be a new situation at this campground and rain was in the forecast. The staff could have easily assigned us to one of several empty drier sites. We recently stayed at KOA near Indianapolis last week to go camping in our tent. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about KOA. Their staff was friendly throughout the entire booking process, and during our stay. The campground was really well kept, neat, and clean. There was also plenty of activities to do around the campsite when we weren't out and around town like camp fires (of course), swimming, bike rides, feeding horses, and playing with a giant checkers set. There was also a nice playground and splash area in the pool for children. They also offer pizza delievery, garbage pickup, and have a laundry area so everything is extremely convient! We plan on making this an every year trip, so see you again next August, KOA! read more

We stayed at this KOA for awhile and the location is beautiful, the amenities are well kept. Our little babe loved their pool and we loved the people. They are all so friendly. It's a family run facility, very cute. While there we had family visit and stay in their cabins which were adorable inside and clean. They also deliver pizza to your RV! Only Negatives: Long term stays (I don't think they do many) are very very expensive. Also, we had about 200$ worth of (brand new) sheets and towels ruined in their laundry facility. They turned a nasty off white/brown color. We let them know to see if it was the water, to which they replied saying they had another guest wash their door mat in one. Which is really gross when you think about it (but not heir fault). However I do wish they would have spent more time/money (running it through cycles) and cleaning it before letting their guest use it or maybe put up a precaution sign because like I mentioned, it ruined our stuff. Most campgrounds have signs to not wash doormats, I can't remember if they do or not but if not, hopefully they will now. 200$+ the money to cost to wash, is not fun to lose. read more

Our family stayed here recently in our big rig. Our space was right next to the RV sales place. Interstate traffic noise is pretty loud. We ran Box fans at night to drown out the noise. The staff we encountered was very friendly. There are several young people that work here. We used the laundry facilities and they were decent, although not all machines were in working order. I'm sure the pool is great for little kids, but we didn't enjoy it. It only goes to 3 feet deep. Also, the water was frigid the entire week. Like, make your bones ache frigid. There's a family staying near the pool that appears to have several young daughters (or cousins?) and it seems that one of the girls works in the camp store. The younger girls appeared to be maybe 8-12. They were always unsupervised at the pool, which is against the posted rules. We watched the smallest girl flip someone off. We watched two other girls ruin the use of the slide for everyone. They didn't give anyone a chance to use it. They were standing at the top of the slide, jumping around up there, running down the slide into the water, etc. and frantically getting out of the water to do it again. One of the girls almost fell off the top onto the concrete below. At one point, all adults in the pool area just stood flabbergasted as we watched the antics of these two young girls, hoping they didn't fall and crack a skull. Why were they allowed in there without an adult? Just because they're family to a worker (or the owner, for all I know), they're allowed to do whatever they want? My daughter and I packed up and left the pool. Positives- nice metal picnic table and swing at our site. Grateful for trash pick-up. There are several gas stations at this exit, as well as McDonald's, Wendy's, etc. read more

What a wonderful place for a family! For starters, every employee was friendly and prompt. The campsite and campground itself was incredibly clean and well kept.
