The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hygienists are extremely professional. Dr. Pawlus is caring but also efficient and I never feel like I'm waiting hours for him to come in. He's got loads of experience and is very honest and matter of fact about things which I prefer. When we first went to see him, he identified a very unique trait on my husband's teeth that indicated something about his ancestry...which was true! In all of his years of going to the dentist not a single other dentist mentioned this. We were impressed. My husband has had the occasional issue with phone communication about billing (I have not) and that's the reason for 4/5 stars. Highly recommend.

Following her appointment she went to schedule her next cleaning. As she stood there waiting the Smith told the receptionist 'Don't bother'. As he walked away the receptionist called after him to clarify, 'You no longer want to treat this patient?' 'No'. Dropping a patient in this manner is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. I don't know if it was because of her age or because he would be making less money off of her appointments without the insurance but when she told me about this incident today I was outraged. This kind of behavior towards any patient is unacceptable. If you are considering this dental office may want to seek out alternative options for care.

EFD is patient and works diligently to change their schedule around to fit my needs. I've been in the care of both Dr. Smith and Dr. Legault for several appointments each. Both are great doctors who take the time to perform thorough evaluations of the entire mouth. Checking for more than just cavities, they palpate the mouth and throat for disease. Even when they are too busy to do the cleanings themselves, they have capable dental hygienists who are also skilled and gentle. Never before have I had any problems with pain or unusual discomfort after a cleaning from either the doctors or their hygienists. The only quibble I have with the office is that it is conjoined with a chiropractor's. Though this doesn't affect me, to some the mixed clientele in the small office may be bothersome or busy.

So when it came time for me to get a second opinion on some extensive dental work, she called and got me an appointment for the very next day which was a good sign to me. I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed to fill out paperwork and they called me back within five minutes which was ten minutes before my appointment time. This was another good sign to me. I brought a copy of an x-ray with me and the dentist and discussed my case for quite some time. He explained many options for the two teeth I was having issues with. In the meantime, he spotted a cavity and said he was willing to fill it right away. The office scheduled me to come back tomorrow. Another good sign! I came back the next day to get my cavity filled and discovered two things this dentist did differently and better. First was a cream used to numb the gum locally before the shot so that you do not feel the shot used to numb the mouth enough for filling cavities. My previous dentist used a small injection to achieve the topical numbness for the main shot. The second thing I learned was that previous dentists had been giving me the plastic or resin fillings. According to Dr. Wells they do not seal as well as silver metal fillings. I used to get the silver kind all the time when I was younger. I don't mind the silver fillings and would prefer the better seal. This dentist offers these kind of filings so I'm happy about that.
