1/5 -- Extremely Disappointed in Huber Heights Police Division…read moreAfter multiple incidents involving Huber Heights, Ohio, I have completely lost confidence in how my safety and concerns have been handled.
On September 17, 2025, my 2008 Mercedes-Benz was struck by another vehicle while I was making a turn on a green light near Center Point 70 Boulevard and South Dayton-Lakeview Road. The driver fled the scene. When I reported the hit-and-run, the responding officer laughed in my face and asked, "How am I supposed to find someone you didn't see?"
Is that how a victim of a hit-and-run deserves to be treated? What happened to investigating accidents, checking nearby surveillance cameras, and taking victims seriously?
In another incident in 2025, I was physically assaulted. A police report was filed, and I personally appeared in court. The individual involved was also present. Yet nobody called my name, and I later learned that I had supposedly failed to appear. The other person was allowed to leave, and I eventually received a check for approximately $10.
I still want an explanation for how that happened.
Then, on October 4, 2026, I experienced another frightening situation involving a vehicle. I believed I was in danger and briefly accelerated to get away. Police stopped me, while the other vehicle disappeared. My Mercedes also sustained a scratch on its bumper.
I am not claiming that every incident was connected or that every officer was responsible. But after everything I have experienced, I believe these situations deserve serious investigation, not dismissal.
I have lived in America for many years. I have worked hard, built a business, paid taxes, and raised my family here. I have always believed that everyone deserves equal protection under the law.
I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for basic respect, professionalism, accountability, and fair treatment.
Why does it feel like my complaints are ignored when I am the victim, but enforcement is immediate when I am the one being stopped?
I have police reports, court documents, and other records relating to these incidents. I intend to pursue answers through the appropriate legal channels.
A police badge represents a responsibility to protect and serve the public. Respect for that badge should be earned through professionalism, fairness, and accountability.
I hope the leadership of Huber Heights Police Division takes these concerns seriously.
Nobody should feel that asking the police for help is a waste of time.
