Quality/Quantity - What a great find, and this review shows…read morethe positive power of Yelp. We discovered this local restaurant through Yelp, and so did the other 2 tables next to us. We found out at the end of our meal that one of the other tables was also from our hotel, a mile walk away. Overall, I think a simple menu done well. We got everything they recommended including the recommended beer from the table next to us. Plain Papadum & Chutney Tray - A must try! Suggestion, these two items should be together on your menu to avoid any confusion on pricing. The sauces also went well with our entree and naan. Tandoori Mix Grill - Good, perfect amount for both of us. As mentioned previously, we are light eaters, especially when traveling. This entree also came with a very light simple salad. Garlic Naan - I can eat this all day! This could even be my meal. After Dinner Chocolates - A nice unexpected touch. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Bathrooms need some TLC, but are functional. Indoor/outdoor dining; everyone ate indoors today. Open 7 days a week. Service - Good, had all 3 wait staff help us. This kind of confused us. They were good at upselling, but all 3 team members tried to upsell us. Not in a bad way, but it kept me laughing. I am a light eater, especially when traveling. They all made light small talk which was nice. It was obvious that everyone eating here was NOT local. They also have online promotions, see their website. Price - 28 pounds + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, I am so glad that you can benefit from Yelp. See you on our next visit as we were so happy with our hotel we plan to stay there again.

GREAT Indian Restaurant at the Raddison Blu Edwardian at the Heathrow airport! Chances are, if you…read moreare at an airport hotel in London, you are probably wishing you could experience this town's incredible Indian food one more time before you leave. Most people search the Yelp reviews and walk to the best, close restaurant you can find. I recently stayed overnight at the Raddison by Heathrow. My wife and I were craving Indian badly. We were about to walk a mile to get to a restaurant I found on Yelp, when we noticed this new Indian place IN the hotel! The place was very modern and swanky. You can make a reservation right on the web site, or at the hotel. We showed up at 7:30 and didn't need a reservation. We were hoping for chicken tikka masala and palek paneer, but no such luck. So we set out to try some new stuff. After talking to the waiter, who was very cool and extremely helpful, we decided on some things he suggested that were VERY similar to what we were looking for. So, we decided on Lamb Rogan Josh(£12), Butter Chicken Masala (£11), Paneer Lababdar (£9) Plain naan (£2.50), and Steamed Basamati rice (2 orders £3 each). I had a bottle of Pale Ale, not sure what kind. My wife had a glass of Pino Grigio. Everything was incredible. The butter chicken masala was very similar, except maybe not as 'tomatoey' as traditional tikka masala. The lamb rogan josh was bursting with deep flavors and the lamb was a good cut of meat that was very tender. The paneer lababdar was a vegetarian dish with big chunks of paneer cheese and a really rich sauce. We ate until we were full and ate some more. Took a break and ate some more! Spent $114, but it was wort it. SOOO good. Can't wait to be back.
We were attending a wedding at the Radisson Blu Heathrow Airport and noticed Annayu which is…read morelocated inside the Hotel. There was a two+ hours gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception and we decide to give Annayu a try. That was the best decision we had made. The staff was very pleasant and service was top notch. The ambiance of Annayu is trendy with a touch of formal. It was blended well. We had the Butter Chicken Masala, Chicken Poussin, Lamb Boti Kebab and Garlic Naan. The authentic tastes in these dishes just blew us away. Each dish was very delicious and perfectly prepared. The Chicken Poussin Tandoori was soft and spicy and just melted the tastes in my mouth. The Butter Chicken Masala had the perfect amount of creamy sauce preserving the tastes of Indian spices making it a perfect match for the Garlic Naan. We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate there twice in the same evening. Terrific experience!

Love the decor too…read more The food can be hit and miss sometimes (leaves me wondering - do they alternate chefs with Malik's Express?) but I don't think it is not for lack of trying. I really like this place. For me the one let down in the last year and a bit has been the service. It has taken ages to get a staff members attention. I suspect they just don't have enough client facing staff. This is something that can be easily rectified. Nevertheless a lovely dining experience relative to the price.

The food presentation is very nice. 3 stars for the food because it was surprisingly mild for my palate. The dal was well made, not mushy. Saag aloo had well cooked potatoes, light on the saag. Chicken tikka was too creamy and too much sauce, not enough chicken. Saag lamb was well seasoned, best dish I had tonight. Naan was skippable as it was a bit sweet.

Service was fine for a takeaway order. I ordered the Lamb Korma Nilgiri and garlic naan. The Lamb Korma was, by far, the best Indian dish I have ever enjoyed. I've been blessed to travel the world including India and this dish was a perfect balance of curry, spice, heat, acid, and, what put it over the top, incredibly tender and flavorful lamb. Portion size was reasonable but I wanted more lamb - so good! The naan was fine - nothing over the top - solid. Apologies - I was enjoying the experience too much to take a picture but it would not do the flavor justice + it was takeaway so no style points for plating presentation. If you are in the area, desire or enjoy Indian, this will not disappoint!

When I got home about an hour later and opened it, it turned out to be a bland, tasteless tarka dal, not Dal Makhani at all. The naan was average as well.
