Not as good as other Indian takeaways. Quite expensive too with no real effort to make customer happy.

We went for an early dinner and the restaurant want better crowded when we got there. We were seated right away. This was probably the best Indian food I've ever had. We did two meal deals (starter and main course for 17 pounds). For starters we got the Chicken Pakora and Vegetable Samosas. The Chicken Pakora was just ok, but the Samosas were very good. For our main courses we got the Karahi Curry with lamb and the Makhan Tikka which came with chicken. Both were incredibly delicious. I think I preferred the Karahi Curry only because the chicken was a little dry and the lamb was much better, but both sauces were very good. For our sides we got rice and cheesey garlic naan. I highly recommend the cheesey garlic naan -- it was delicious. Our food was a little slow to come out, but our service was good. We had two different servers recommend the dishes we ended up getting as our main course and we were very happy with them. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

The rest of the food was lacking any kind of real spice and was all very bland and most of it came out lukewarm. Didn't seem fresh in any capacity. The cocktails were very nice, though, so that kept us from complaining too much during the meal.

First alarm bells rang when looking at the menu. For an indian restuarant, they couldn't even spell 'Jalfrezi' correctly... Nevertheless, we proceeded to order our food, we both got a chicken pakora kebab on naan with cokes which came to £15 Food came reasonably quickly. I was rendered speechless. What exactly did I just pay £15 for? The naan breads were the smallest I had ever seen, and tasted completely stale like they had been made days ago. We had 5 small pakora balls each which were so hard you could have knocked someone out with them, and the garlic sauce tasted nothing like garlic. After a few bites, I was done. My partner was considerably more hungry and finished his and suffered severe stomach cramps for the next 2 days. Conveniently, after we were served our food, the two girls behind the counter seemed to do a disappearing act. This establishment is dog poor, avoid it like the plague. What a joke!

Their customer service was beyond awful. There were 3 employees present at the time I went (15/08/2013). All three made us feel like we were bothering them even though we were their only customers. Two employees were giggling and screaming and running up and down the restaurant, it was very off putting. My friend's curry chip looked absolutely horrible, when it came to getting a refund the employee was rude. Usually when I finish a meal I like to wait stay seated for 5 minutes or so to let the food settle down, Indian Ocean was the first place that I rushed out of after finishing because the employees made us feel awkward. I was happy to leave and even happier when the two female employees present shouted "BYE" at us whilst giving us dirty looks as it proved how horrible the service was. I recommend that if you ever want the food from there that you get it to eat out as the service is shockingly bad and the inside looks awfully dull.

This truly authentic Indian restaurant is the brainchild of Head Chef Sanjay and Front of House Manager Pawan. The team have put a lot of effort into this place. It is ideally located and has plenty of car parking and seats 85 people. The ribbon was cut by the landlord and then Sanjha opened for business. There was a Prosecco aperitif on arrival, followed by popadoms and chutneys. Starter for me was a mixed platter of chicken, salmon, shami kebab, aloo tikki and onion bhaji served with spaghetti salad and chutneys (mint and mango). The starters were amazing and set the bar high for the mains. The main course duly arrived and consisted of butter chicken, Rogan josh, saffron rice and nan. The taste was so real it was as if I was sitting in India and eating it!!!! There is an extensive wine and cocktail list- which looked very appealing!! The staff and owners have really got a winner here.....I would thoroughly recommend paying a visit, I know I shall!!
