My previous out of town restaurant was the Entouraj at Cutnall Green.... The chef has moved from…read morethere and is now at No. 25 - Sudha Saha. I only discovered this the next day when I was doing a bit more research. This explains why the meals were so excellent. I am pleased that we now have a bit of class in the form of upmarket cuisine. I hope the local now support this enterprise. IT IS IMPORTANT I SAY THIS - DON'T LET THIS HIGH CUISINE INDIAN RESTAURANT DIE..... The food standards' rating in November 2024 was a 4. The company was added to Companies House - 14th November 2023 There are two directors and one of those is Sudha Saha. NOTE There are two menus: Eat in and Takeaway. I like the former for it's smaller menu, as i believe small means they cook quality rather than quantity fast-food. The takeaway menu includes the traditional meals, had some of the a la carte items removed. A la carte - chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.no25restaurantandbar.com/wp-content/uploads/no-25-restaurant-bar-a-la-carte.pdf Takeaway - chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.no25restaurantandbar.com/wp-content/uploads/takeaway-menu.pdf Alternatively, navigate from their home page. I'll attach the al la carte and drinks' menu here too. Visited 20/9/25 - Daughter's boyfriend's 21st birthday. Originally booked for 8 people, but an extra person was added very last minute. Not a problem to accommodate. Service was excellent. Before our food arrived, we were given an amuse-bouche (see pic). So good! As a person who loves Indian food this is a great restaurant. More casual and trendy but…read morestill serves authentic Indian. The lunch special was great. I was able to get a curry and a drink for $12. My only complaint is I wish the sampler offered more of the meats. My partner and I had to share a shrimp and a piece of salmon. I believe it should be at least two of each item on the sampler. I would definitely recommend going here and I will be back to try more things from the menu.

There was a lot to like about this place. First and foremost was the food. I am a huge fan of…read moreIndian cuisine and the menu choices were precisely to my liking. I wanted to eat something not as heavy as I might normally try at a place like this so I opted for the Chickpea Curry, which came with rice. It was very good and the roti I ordered to accompany it made a nice complement. The location was rather convenient for me as it was between the New St. Station and my hotel. It was easy to find and the seating capacity was fairly plentiful. I was seated right away when I walked in despite the fact that it was relatively busy. I also appreciated their hours as they are open until 10 PM on weekdays and later on weekends. That allowed me to walk in at about 9:15 on a Saturday and not feel rushed to finish my meal. The service was decent. I did not have to wait too long before my server attended to me. My food came out in a reasonable time once my order was placed. The prices were also fairly good for a city centre location. My final cost for everything was just over £17, which was about $22 with the conversion rate at the time. This was a decent deal considering the quality of the fare. The one thing I did not personally like was the excessively loud atmosphere. This was definitely a place for 20-somethings, which meant music at an excessive volume. Unfortunately, this was not to my taste. Add to that a dining room full of people trying to talk over that music and you have an atmosphere that could be surmised to be the antithesis of relaxing. But it all depends on what you are looking for, I suppose. And to be fair, it was not the loudest I've experienced, even on this trip. While I would give this place less than favorable marks for atmosphere, the menu choices were quite nice, the food was very good, the service was decent and the prices were reasonable. I think an overall rating of 4 stars was appropriate. And if you like atmospheres such as what I described, then you might consider it a five-star place.

Well this all started with a bit of a dilemma here, our favourite curry provider in northfield…read morehappens to be take away only so we thought we'd venture onto the high street and try Omar's after receiving a pretty good takeaway from them previously. Why did we wait so long? The decor insode is flush with blue and purple soft lighting and drapes, the waiters were very polite and straight on hand to help with your every need. The menu, well, we'd promised it was a quick bite but starters, mains sides and a forced down desert argued with that one (doggie bags for the left over mains were a life saver!). A range of unusual chefs specials suitable for both veggies and meat eaters alongside the standard brummie curry choices (dopiaza, rogan josh, tikka, bhuna etc...) meant we needed an extra 10 minutes to narrow it down from one of everything on the menu to what we actually wanted! As a sample menu example my choices consisted of: poppadums with mango chutney, mint yoghurt, lime pickle and tomato chilli mixed tikka starter for one Keema meatball curry with extra green chillies (just wow!) garlic pilau rice cheese and chilli naan and a pistachio kulfi to finish (only because we could, there was no room left at this point!) Cobra and Tiger beers were readily available alongside a small selection of spirits. A repeat trip may well be needed to sample the mango lassi here (I'm sure there will be no complaints if the rest of the experience is as good as this vist was)
