I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Biryani and garlic naan. All three were amazing. The single order of naan was more like a double order anywhere else and was very fresh and packed with flavour. The chicken Biryani was the best I've ever had and the portion was huge and I'll be eating it for 3 more meals for sure. Lamb Vindaloo was also ace. Big chunks of meat with potatoes in a very flavourful sauce. The only thing I'd change is the spice level. It's marked as spicy but I didn't find it that spicy for me(def had kick though) this is a personal thing and next time I'll ask to kick up the heat a bit. Overall it was a great experience and I now have a go to place whenever I'm craving Indian food. Can't wait to try more off the menu.

The main were curry goat, Rogan Josh beef and butter chicken, aloo Gobi, baingan Barta, and vegetable curry. We also got sides of rice and naan. The appetizers we good too. Definitely a distinct taste. The Pani Puri sauce was cold and you had to eat it quick as the shell melted in your mouth. The dry chili shrimp was a bit spice, but very well flavoured. The basmati rice is also very well made. Firm and easy to eat. All the curries were very distinctly seasoned, each bringing a slightly different flavour to the table. My favourites are the Rogan Josh and the aloo Gobi.

They offer a number of different options for roti, dosa and other Indian snacks and options. I walked up to the counter a couple minutes after ordering and they said my order was supposed to be for 6:30 and it was only around 6:10 but they got it to me promptly, I only waited around 5 minutes. The people working there were friendly although my experience with the service was very limited. The place is super cool looking, almost reminds me of a subway or Quiznos so super casual but brightly painted, modern and fun. Now for the food! I ordered a butter chicken roti on the regular roti with mild spice level, I also got a side of Raita. The meal came with some amazing freebies, a gulab jamun and some crispy chip puffs! I loved these small touches. The butter chicken roti was massive and amazing. The sauce was rich but not overly so, bursting with flavour and spice (but not spicy), and the large chunks of chicken were moist and plentiful. This was quite possibly the best butter chicken I've ever had! The roti was also good, chewy and a perfect vessel for the saucy butter chicken. I ate about 3/4 of it and was totally beyond stuffed. I think a person with a regular or smaller appetite could share this with another person. I kept eating even though I was stuffed and still couldn't finish it. The free chips and gulab jamun were also super tasty! Overall this spot is awesome for tasty Indian treats. I'm super excited to try other items, from roti to dosa, I have a feeling this will be a regular spot for me!

I loved the freshly made samosas. The tandoori platter was the highlight of the meal for me as each type of meat was cooked so well, full of their distinct flavors but still moist and tender. It came in a sizzling smoking hot to the table and we devoured it. The two curries were also delicious, but were overshadowed by my love of the tandoori.

The patty had a good taste & texture & a slight crisp.  The bun had a slight crisp & oily skin (from the griddle), just like you'd get from a street hawker. The vada pav wasn't too spicy & had a pleasant level of spiciness, resulting in a good balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. There were separate mint & tamarind sauces if you wanted to add more, but the buns had enough of the sauces already. There was also a bit of toasted coconut, which was a subtle addition. Also had Combo 3 and opted for chicken curry, butter chicken & garlic naan. The combo was alright. I got charged $1.49 extra for the garlic naan; she didn't tell me about the surcharge when offering me the choice. The combo was a lunch potion. The chicken curry strangely had green pepper in it. The butter chicken was quite spicy for butter chicken. Both were good. The combo was supposed to come with dal but I got raita. Coriander raita - a first for me. It was ok. The naan was thin for naan - it had the thickness of roti. I ate it within a few mins but it already was not crisp, but soggy. It tasted pretty good though. The salad was undressed: raw carrot & onion, with indian pickle on the side. In addition to the usual Indian mouth freshening herbs, they have them candied too, which is an interesting change.

**South India on a Plate, No Flight Needed**…read more Came here as a student at York University, and it's been my all-time favorite South Indian spot ever since. Whether it's breakfast, brunch, or lunch, this place delivers the kind of authentic flavors that instantly transport you to South India. The food here is consistently amazing. My go-to is always the Mysore Masala Dosa and the vegetarian Parontha, but if I'm dining with a partner, I never miss the Vada Sambhar plate, with its two medu vadas and two idlis. Every bite hits that perfect balance of spice, texture, and comfort that makes you forget everything else. The atmosphere adds to the charm -- the walls are lined with large posters of South Indian stars and legends, and the music playing in the background completes the cozy, immersive vibe. It's the kind of place that feels both lively and relaxed at the same time. Service can be a bit slow, likely because they're a little understaffed, and there's often a fair wait during weekends or peak hours. Delivery through Uber Eats is an option, but in-person is where the experience really shines. Despite the wait, once the food arrives, all minor complaints disappear. If there's room for improvement, a slightly larger team on busy days could help speed up service and make the experience smoother for everyone. All in all, this is a spot I'll always return to -- it's perfect for anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors in a comfortable, welcoming setting.

Best of all, they're really cheap: Saturday dinner was $17.99 plus tax. They get 4.5 stars. The fried rice was tasteless but the veg Hakka noodles were pretty good. The Butter Naan was decent as naan but a bit dry for butter naan. Butter chicken used tandoori chicken, giving extra flavour & had a very rich sauce (shared with the paneer makhani). It was especially good. There were quite a few desserts: fruit, 2 mini cakes, ice cream & Indian deserts, Both mini cakes were dry. The Indian desserts & fruit were decent.
